Always been a favourite of mine. Modern Chinese cooking in cool surroundings!
Sweet Mandarin – Northern QuarterWe dined Saturday evening. We were delayed in arriving and were half an hour late for our table. I called ahead. There was no problem with the management and staff. Service is exemplary and the food was very good quality indeed. We had olives and garlic bread first. We then shared a portion of meatballs, really good. For main course, we had Sea Bass veal, and pasta marinara all well presented and very tasty indeed. Didn’t have time or space for dessert. We have been before several times and will return again, no doubt. Ideally placed for pre theatre dining if you are going to the Palace Theatre or The Bridgewater Hall.
Giorgios – Manchester City CentreHighly recommend! Two of us went for dinner on Saturday, food was very tasty, reasonable prices, good selection of drinks and great atmosphere. Will definitely be returning with others in the near future.
Chakalaka – Manchester City CentreWe had a great and very filling meal!

Habesha – Manchester City CentreLove it here! The food and cocktails are amazing and the service is always great
Chakalaka – Manchester City CentreThe best italian in the UK for me, flew into Manchester for a business meeting and ate here in 2017 last time; the lasagne was just as good complemented by attentive service. Will be back if ever in Manchester!

Giorgios – Manchester City CentreExcellent food, good atmosphere, friendly staff and good value for money
Giorgios – Manchester City CentreMe and my boyfriend came to enjoy the pre-show meal before we went to see the Book of Mormon. We decided to have a nice meal, and this place was easy to make reservations at. We were greeted wonderfully and the wine list was good. We got a bottle of rose wine which was absolutely gorgeous. The starters were amazing, particularly my boyfriend’s bbq chicken wings (I would recommend heavily). We both had the rib eye steak and I have to say it was one of the best steaks I have ever tried. Absolutely gorgeously cooked and practically melted in my mouth. The pepper sauce was also divine and all the additional extras on the plate were perfect. Will definitely be coming again, especially before a show!
Giorgios – Manchester City CentreHad a pre theatre meal. Lovely staff, cordial and welcoming. Fixed price menu was basic and a little limiting. Food was fine perhaps steak was over ambitious. Ideal restaurant for pre theatre not sure I’d go just for an evening out.
Gio Ristorante – Manchester City CentreQuality beer and good food in a cool environment. What's not to like!
Mash Tun – Manchester City CentreWe were wandering around the city centre to find somewhere to eat. thought about the Corn Exchange but then realised most were chains. However I knew Salvi's to be a local small group so we went there. Very impressed with the food. Pasta Vongole and a Salvi pizza were both far better than the usual Italian fayre. Really enjoyed the cauliflower and caper salad too. good wine to match. would recommend.
Salvi’s – Manchester City CentreWe tend to eat at Giorgios when going to a gig at the Ritz or (more usually) a theatre performance at the Palace. The food is great, and the pre theatre menu is very good value, with good portion sizes and plenty of variety. The staff are wonderful, very friendly and attentive. We'll certainly be back!
