Had a really lovely evening with friends at the Fat Loaf. Warm, welcoming atmosphere, excellent service and fantastic food as always. The hardest part was deciding what to eat - so much choice!

Fat Loaf – SaleExcellent pre show venue for a meal. It is very busy and the staff are under pressure but nonetheless very pleasant and helpful. I would suggest booking a table to avoid disappointment. I won’t pretend you are going to get fine dining but the pre show menus is acceptable and great value for money. All in all a pleasant pre show experience. You could pay more and do far worse.
Giorgios – Manchester City CentreALWAYS come here prior to a show at the Palace. It never disappoints. The service, given how busy it always is, is outstanding. The food quality this time was also first-rate (occasionally 'only' very good!). Pre-theatre menu is really excellent value, but just beware of cost of drinks, which perhaps are rather high. Also be aware service charge is added to bill (supposedly optional, but definitely well worth it), but then card transactions ask if you want to leave a gratuity. Though I'd recommend you book in advance, they seemed to be able to accommodate those without bookings, despite it being seemingly 'full'.
Giorgios – Manchester City CentreBeen to the George Charles for the 2nd year running for a works Christmas dinner, excellent food, great portions and a really good selection for set menus. Staff are really helpful and the booking process was extremely easy. More than likely be back in 2020!
The George Charles – DidsburyGreat place for pre theatre supper. Efficient and welcoming service, good food and set menu with sufficient choices.
Giorgios – Manchester City CentreGreat pre theatre meal excellent food.Little issue with the incorrect billing but soon resolved
Gio Ristorante – Manchester City Centreexcellent value, good food and service a great pre theatre menu
Giorgios – Manchester City CentreBooked by phone and online explained special 40th Ruby anniversary.Shown to a table, without asking,no special treatment.Food below average, could have got lots better locally.Very disappointing experience.
Gio Ristorante – Manchester City CentreReturned once again to Lime for a late afternoon meal. The location is excellent, football TV shown all over and serving staff are friendly. It was Sunday but the Sunday menu was not given to it. Fortunately we asked and were told that it was still on. Service is normally vert good here but yesterday it took nearly an hour for the food to be served. Others also seemed to be waiting too long. We can only conclude that staff were missing or coming too late in the kitchen. We hope this is a one-off as we would like to come back after football matches.
Lime – Salford QuaysCalled here for breakfast on way to Christmas shopping Excellent breakfast exceptional value for money felt full all day
Fairview Inn – RochdaleFabulous food and service, despite being very busy ! Would highly recommend!
Papa Luigis – WiganPoor quality, tasteless food. WCs inoperable and alternative without a kicking door! Surroundings pleasant
Lime – Salford QuaysLate lunch, Saturday. Really yummy authentic Italian food in a pleasant family environment. Great value for money and service.
