Great cakes in this busy Sale café!
Amphora Cafe – SaleReally enjoyed my excellent Nepalese curry on Friday night. Really tasty, full of flavour and different from the normal Indian fayre. The chicken was of a high quality too, tender and juicy again unlike the chewy chicken you can find in other Indian venues.
Namaste Nepal – Didsburya passionate and knowledgeable man about his type of food. Deserves to do well and looking forward to it!
The Old School BBQ Ranch – OldhamMy husband and I dined here on Friday last week, great service, fabulous food and so reasonable. Its great to have a place like this as our local, consistently good, we should actually go more often than we do. Keep up the good work.
Chez Nous Bistro – SaleThere aren’t enough words to state just how good this place is, from the geeeting at the front door, excellent all round service, fantastic room to the amazing job Justin and Luke have done with ‘the Refuge’ - seeing really is believing.
Refuge – Manchester City Centreme and hubby always enjoy fantastic food here and we always receive a warm welcome whenever we visit. Certainly gives anywhere in Chinatown a good run for there money. Cannot fault their food
Chung Ying – SalfordAbsolutely love the Indian brunch menu. Spicy comfort food for breakfast is a big winner for me. Spiced keema with scrambled egg awesome as was the Bombay baked eggs. If hungover it's mandatory with a cheeky bloody Mary!
Zouk Tea Bar – Manchester City CentreGallimores restaurant offers everything from the friendly welcome to the fabulous food attentive staff and fabulous atmosphere. Give it a try you will not be disappointed
Gallimores – WiganWe have been visiting this place for years as a couple or with large parties with our family and friends. We have noticed a lot of new staff and a staggering drop in customer care and service standard on our recent few visits. We can say we will not be returning after our last visit as our table was booked for 7.30 last night (7th October) for our friends surprise 50th by his lovely wife. On arrival we were greeted nicely and to take a seat at the bar, get a drink till our remaining party arrived. We were supposed to have been seated at a nicely decorated table of balloons and party things and on his arrival our friend would have been nicely surprised by us all sat there. That's the first mistake. When our friend arrived his lovely wife who booked the table went to book us in only to be told there was no booking, luckily for us she was speaking to the actual waiter who took her booking. Apologise profusely and proceeded to go to the restaurant to get us a table. On finding us a table, not waiting long we were told a table was ready but no decorations on it which our friend had dropped off earlier to be arranged. So having to wait till that was done by the wife and not the staff as arranged, we were then was seated. That was the second mistake. We were offered popadoms yum yum they came quickly and were enjoyed thank you. A long time passed till our order was taken but eventually a waiter came and took our order. Only 2 starters were asked for and it was mentioned that the starters could come with the mains but in no time at all the starters came but no mains. 3rd mistake. I had to stack the plates and trays from the popadoms as no one was clearing our table of them or empty glasses. 4th mistake. We then waited and waited and waited and guess what waited some more. After an hour we asked what the problem was and with no apology what so ever were told our order would be another 5/10 minutes as they had a very large table that had a massive order that they were just finishing off. And we waited and waited and yes waited some more.5th mistake. The table at the side of us which was a bit bigger had waited and waited and waited too. Half of their party left and eventually they all left and went to McDonald's next door. We spoke to a gentleman on reception who apologised, who spoke to the floor manager in the reastaurant and still we waited and waited. Waiters walking passed us with lots of food but non for us. 6th mistake. We left out table asked for our friends surprise cake and proceeded to the bar where we were offered a free drink as an apology, half of us not drinking as we were driving and they lit the sparklers on the cake. Thanks for that. We left after 3hours having had popadoms and nothing else. So my husband and I and im sure the party we were with will not be going there again or recommending it to anyone. It was just a good job the company we were in was lovely otherwise the evening would have been a total wash out !!!! Never again!!
Indish – OldhamWe visited The Fisherman's Retreat in Sunday to celebrate my cousins golden wedding anniversary. There were 10 of us booked under the name of Isherwood. I would like to say how impressed we all were with the choice, presentation and quality of the food.It was our first visit. The venue was lovely with exceptional views from the windows of the dining room.
The Fisherman’s Retreat – RamsbottomGreat place to come out with the family, service is always good and prices are a steal for what’s on offer would reccomend
Fairview Inn – RochdaleTavern Fayre is a rightly very popular venue. Even though its a large place with plenty of covers it always seems busy. That's because it is a well run ship with a good menu. I had the light bite fish and chips which was excellent. service was friendly and efficient. Its in a good location for me near the motorway.
