Rozafa Taverna – StockportRecently experienced a meal at the Village Inn (Ex Greyhound Hotel) Fantastic! The service was really good from very friendly staff. Do they ever stop smiling? The food was hot, tasty and beautifully presented and very reasonably priced. We will definitely return.
Just Thai @ The Village – UrmstonWe have lived in the village for over 20 years. We have just had the most appalling meal ever. We were regular customers to the Horseshoe, but since it's been taken over omg. Staff ok, but my husband ordered the beef, it was 95% FAT. He doesn't like complaining, but he did, every mouthful was FAT. I wouldn't bring it home for my dog. I ordered. Suet pudding, asked was it like the one in the chippys "yes". Oh my husband also ordered chips NOT mash, what did it come with MASH. NO ONE came to apolologise. H toddled off to complain. All we paid for was the starter and wine. We didn't want that - we weren't after free meal. JUST A DECENT ONE. We WILL NOT be returning, and we are going to tell as many of our friends - AVOID this place.
The Horseshoe at Ringley – BoltonWe went to Cinnamon Standish as we had heard about a Sunday buffet offer that seemed too good to be true, it was, first of all we were made to wait for 10 minutes in a cramped foyer area, it's £8.95 for what is supposed to be a buffet, a buffet that offers a choice of just 2 starters & if you require poppadoms they are extra, we had 4 with a chutney tray at a cost of £4.90, the onion bhaji's & chicken tikka starters on offer were nice . The main course offers a choice of just 4 dishes with pilau rice & cardboard pretending to be nan bread, none of which are labelled & when I asked one of the waiters what the dishes were, he didn't know either, I had a brown dish that turned out to be lamb madras, so glad I didn't just plonk this lucky dip dish onto my 2 year olds plate, she would have screamed all night it was that hot, the dish itself was quite nice although the lamb was a little dried up, my wife had chicken tikka massala & despite the tub she got it from looking full, it was an effort to find the chicken but tasted ok . I was driving & my wife's pregnant so we only ordered soft drinks, for a glass which was about 3/4 pint of diet coke I think £3.00 is excessive . Overall the food we ate was generally ok, I don't think there's anywhere near enough choice to describe it as a buffet & labelling of meals would be helpful to customers, I was left waiting 5 minutes for a plate as there were none left when I went for my main course, not ideal . I don't think we'll be returning here as the food is better at other local Indian restaurants, the food on the buffet wasn't replenished regularly, the drinks were expensive & it's unnecessary to leave customers waiting in the small foyer area when 3/4 of the seats in the restaurant were empty .
Cinnamon Indian Cuisine – WiganBy far the best cafe I've ever been too. Great menu and fantastic service.
Stupots – SwintonYou are required to pay before you enter or even eat which is a poor way to treat customers.
Tops Buffet Restaurant – Manchester City CentreWent to La Scala on Saturday and enjoyed an excellent atmosphere and amazing food. The staff were extremely friendly and made us feel very, very welcome. Will defintely be visiting again soon and I would very highly recommend La Scala to anyone.

La Scala – RochdaleWe love the Empire, we went last night and had a lovely meal. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who are always very friendly and helpful.
Empire – UrmstonOnce again just a wonderful evening spent with my family on Sunday evening at La Scala. Atmosphere, amazing. Food and wine, fabulous. Staff, excellent. As always such a warm and friendly welcome, without loosing any of the professional and courteous experience that you would expect from a good restaurant. Yet again can only say the best dining experience ever!
La Scala – RochdaleJust been down there tonight booked a table for 7.15 left at 8 still not sat down. No one bothered to keep us informed, so now sat down in an Italian enjoying my food Used to go to the Horseshoe regularly and never had this problem before. I wouldn't mind you were not that busy to forget us.
The Horseshoe at Ringley – BoltonEnjoyed a really pleasant evening at La Scala last Saturday, extremely friendly staff, really nice food, amazing atmosphere and a very enjoyable night. Highly recommended and will definitely be returning.

La Scala – RochdaleTop Class, I have visited on a weekly basis since the restaurant opened last year and I still can't get enough! Food is always beautiful, freshly made and with their specials and A La Carte menu there's always something new to try.
The Hungry Duck – RamsbottomAbsolutely terrible. DO NOT TAKE A CAKE FOR A SPECIAL OCCASSION, they will give away to the wrong party and not expect to compensate for their incompetence, they will accuse you of trying to take advantage, completely unprofessional and incompetent establishment, would not recommend
Rivington Pub and Grill – HorwichLovely lunch for 2 gluten free and one dairy free diners. Staff coped well with boisterous toddler and food was excellent. Lovely potato soup with truffle oil followed by delicious gluten free sandwiches. The bread was the best we have ever tasted! Thanks guys. We don't live in Manchester but we will definitely be back and can't wait to try the afternoon tea other people were tucking in to.
