Dhanak Deira – BoltonExquisite food, fabulous service, excellent value. We had the Christmas two course fixed price menu, and are already making plans to visit again in the new year.
Sole Seafood Restaurant & Bar – Manchester City Centreexcellent menu, quality food and service.really nice atmosphere, and extensive specials menu/ this place is a benchmark for restaurants in Bolton
King William – BoltonI came to Manchester last year in September, and I've tried all restaurants that claim to be Indian cuisine based, this one place is what authentic Indian food is..!! they have been able to bring the actual taste of Indian food that i enjoyed all my life in spiceless northwest which is overtaken by worthless donners and stuffs that reflect not an ounce of what Indian people eat, apart from being so unhealthy. anyways, i have tried this place a couple of times, they have nice preparations, especially south indian dishes, i really wonder apart from them there in no other south Indian cuisine serving restaurant. the seating is comfortable, and you can spend some quality time here especially since they have liquor licence. Also they have Indian beer on draught, which to me, did not taste authentic, but all the same i cant negate it of its Indian correspondence. the owner is a fine gentleman and a connoisseur for food and personally takes interest in the preparations. staff is alright, not that delightful as the name is. still 5 star for food, 3 star for service, and 4 star for ambience. per head cost is £10 approx, in a group. A nice checkout and a dependable option for authentic Indian food.
Punjab Tandoori – RusholmeFriendly, tasty, warm, lovely and loving place!!! Visit once and you will become their client forever!
Bilash Balti House – SwintonThe Owls is a JOKE! I am highly disappointed with the service and unorganization! I have always come to the owls for a meal whatever the occasion and for a Christmas party we decided to go and the waitresses gave my vegetarian friend a meat lasagna instead on the vegetarian, not only allowing my friend to become extremely ill and was throwing up in the toilets. When asking for the manager the manager shouted at me and I was spoken to in an aggressive tone and felt very victimised . No apology was given. When leaving the owls in disappointment of our meals due to the disgrace of the menu when paying we realised that we had been charged for meals we hadn't even ordered! I will never go to the Owls again. Very very disappointed
The Owls At Standish – WiganJust visited this restaurant about 6pm had a combo to share then carvery. Have to admit the food was good. However when we arrived it was full and instead of taking our names they just left people to get the table themselves which meant that inconsiderate people jump on tables before their turn. When it came to the carvery we had to wait until the staff got theirs in front of us, their plates where piled high. We were unable to dish our own carvery and when i asked if there was anymore stuffing, (the waitress before me had taken it all for free) i was told no, its coming off now anyway. When my dad got his there was not any gravy left for him. We understand it was 6pm but would of much preferred to have had something else to eat instead of what felt like left overs. We were paying and got the scrapings while the staff got free meals first. Spoke to the manager who was very nice and gave us the carveries for free. Would of much preferred to have paid full price for a nice meal but felt it was disorganised and a free for all the staff.
John Gilbert, The – Worsleywe have been to this tapas on several occasions so decided to choose it for my husbands 50th birthday unfortunately it was very very disappointing.we arrived to not enough spaces for our guests even though they had our numbers weeks before when the food came out the portion sizes had been reduced considerably ie 3 meat balls in a tiny dish and one of the prawn dishes only had 2 prawns in it, also we had to ask for some of the dishes because they had forgot about them and we also had to ask for bread which was brought out after everyone had eaten some of our guest were so hungry they left early so they could catch the local pub still serving food which was very upsetting to us.The most upsetting was the waitress when questioned about the portion sizes she pointed to my husband and said its his fault also she has now told the owner the only reason my husband was upset was because the guest that left did not pay and left my husband to pick up their bill which is totally untrue all eight of them paid the £20 each agreed.i would not recommend this tapas anymore because the portion sizes do not reflect the amount you pay for them and the staff are totally unprofessional ,.
The Orange Tree Tapas – AudenshawI visited Salvis on Monday and shared the Parma Ham and Mozzarella platter with a glass of wine. The guy who owns the deli was wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable about the food and wines. He makes different pasta dishes every day and the choice is fantastic. We are going back on Friday and I think this will be a regular haunt!
Salvi’s – Manchester City CentreI wouldn't go back to this restaurant as there are so many better ones in Bolton. I am a vegetarian and there was only one choice of pasta dish which I think is unacceptable. I ended up having a pizza because I didn't like the one pasta dish that they offered. When I go out to a restaurant I don't really want to have a pizza because I can have that anytime. Asda do great pizzas for half the price. This restaurant has definitely gone down hill since it was baroccos. Also we ordered the profiteroles for dessert and at one time you got 4 but now you only get two for the same price. A few family member went the other night to try it out and they said they wouldn't go back either and had to complain of cold food. Also one party member ordered chips with his mains and they didn't come until after he had finished his meal. I am so disappointed as this use to be a great place to eat but not any more!
Ciao Baby – Boltonthe best cosmina zagor.food is fab
Caspian – RusholmeWonderful atmosphere, very relaxed. Meat and cheese platters superb, prosecco not too shabby either! Staff very knowledgeable and happy to chat in Italian or English. Will try pasta next time as the aroma was mouthwatering.
Salvi’s – Manchester City CentreFantastic value for money. All food freshly cooked. Restaurant itself is immaculate and well organised. Staff all friendly, helpful and smartly dressed. Recommend to anyone wanting a nice ride out. Carvery at a fantastic price but also offers a full menu including a children's menu at great prices. We eat out an awful lot and can honestly say this Restaurant is one of the best we have come across so far.
The Waggon and Horses – WesthoughtonWe visited Ciao baby for the first time since it was Borroccos yesterday, we loved barrocos and we was expecting a really nice meal and looking forward to it- However we was disgusted with the portion sizes against the price of them - we ordered the Veal Escolopes n lemon sauce at £14.95 a dish and instead of getting a nice think piece of veal we was given a flimsy piece no thicker than half a centimetre, and one bowl of potato and veg that was hard an cold to share between 2 adults! for that costs of £30 for 2 dishes i was disgusted. I demanded more veg which i did get but I could not believe that the dish was £14.95 - it was worth £4.95 at best ! very very disappointing! I felt sick paying that price at the end of the night for the meal i would never go there again! I wouldn't recommend Ciao baby to anyone , in fact will be telling people not to bother - what a let down after how good Barrocos was!
Ciao Baby – BoltonMyself and the family went here for a birthday celebration. The last time we went was average but we gave it a go anyway. NEVER AGAIN. The food wasn't bad (apart from one dish that we sent back for not being cooked) but it was the bill. My partner checked the bill at the end and we were overcharged nearly 23 pound for drinks we didn't have. Now it wasn't busy and 2 people took our drink orders and wrote it down, so it was clear to us that they were trying it on. All confidence lost. When we mentioned it they simply said 'tell us what you didn't have'. Bill sorted but it was all too easy. Never again
Ancora – OldhamAlways enjoy going to Continental - the food is so tasty and the atmosphere is very nice. The service friendly and we always have a wonderful meal!
Continental – DidsburyVery good food. Nice decor. Good wine at reasonable prices. Have just booked to go back again.
Momentum Restaurant & Lounge – WesthoughtonLovely cocktails, Gorgeous Bar. Dreadful customer service. 6 of us spent well in excess of £100 for 2 drinks each and then were asked, nay told, to vacate our table, which (unlike most of the other tables) had no 'reserved' sign on it. Obnoxious (Assistant?) Manager with absolutely no social deportment or PR expertise. Will not be recommending to my Clients!
