Great food, great service. The best tapas restaurant I have been to in Manchester, La Torre has a nice laid back, very authentic Spanish atmosphere. Great value for money too!!

La Torre – UrmstonKitkat, I am very sorry to hear that you found our vegetarian selection to be limited. As you mention, we do only have one vegetarian option (all courses) on our MARKET SPECIALS MENU, but to be fair, there's only one meat option and one fish option too. We do, however, change this menu weekly so as to keep it fresh and exciting as well as great value for money. We also have many vegetarian options available on our A LA CARTE which is available alongside our MARKET MENU. We pride ourselves on providing for those with dietary requirements, such as coeliacs and vegetarians and thus, prefer to freshly prepare everything on-site so we know exactly what goes in to our dishes. Unfortunately, this also means that we can not offer endless menu options. Again, I am really sorry if we were not to your liking, but i hope i provided an explanation
Momentum Restaurant & Lounge – Westhoughtongood fresh food and excellent company. fantastic for veggies and vegans
The Coven – WiganIt is probably safe to say the gushing reviews are from meat eaters who will marvel at the vast selection of apparent choice on the menu. I was very disappointed that the vegetarian options are severely limited - to one dish in fact. On a visit to the restaurant, I had the only vegetarian dish, It would have sufficed as an entree and I'd be lying if I was disappointed. The reason I am compelled to right this review is on visiting a second time with my sister, (we are both vegetarians) we were given awful treatment by staff. We were offered no flexibility to the menu, instead a waitress offered simply to re-read it to us. I find this hard to understand since momentum's website describes varied menu's. Forget the decor, if you are looking for a sophisticated and menu...look somewhere else.
Momentum Restaurant & Lounge – WesthoughtonDisappointing food, terrible service and a worse manager. We started the night by asking the manager to stop being rude to our friend as it was her birthday, he claimed to be joking and got worse throughout the night. Our complaint about the food resulted in 2 out of 5 being pushed.
Buddha Lounge – RamsbottomI went to Casa Belmondo on Sunday 09th Oct with m y husband and daughter,, it was fairly quiet and so we had no problem in getting a table. The menu is extensive and reasonably priced and children eat free between 12-5 which was one of the reasons for going, We were not disappointed the garlic mushrooms and Pate went down well, my 2 year old can also confirm this as she polished off as much as she could from our plates, I had the Oceano Pasta ,my husband had the calzone pizza which was stuffed full of meat and veg and was hot all the way through which you sometimes do not get, my daughter had the lasagna which was free, the portion was huge and having tasted it to make sure it wasn't too hot, it was delicious, she ate it all up and wanted more. The garlic bread with tomato was done to perfection. The only criticism would be that a little more seafood in the pasta would not have gone a miss and the drinks are a little pricey but apart from that a lovely meal was had by all, we will be going again.
Casa Belmondo – RoytonI had a great lunch here on Friday. The steak sandwich with red onion jam was great at only £7.95. chips were homemade and like chippy chips with little crispy bits, not like the uniformed chips you get in similar establishments. The fire was roaring and the staff attentive. Will be back.
Metropolitan – DidsburyA true galloping gourmet delight was had by all the table the other night. We have been going to the Lime tree for some time now, in fact many years. We always enjoy ourselves, Matt is a welcoming host and his team are always courteous. Thank you for another great night.
Lime Tree – DidsburyI'm really disappointed with Spicy Hut, as someone that has been going to the restaurant for the last 6 or 7 years. I decided to give the delivery service a try. The delivery took an hour and a half, and the driver repeatedly lied about where he was. He also didn´t keep the food in the heated container to keep it hot. I had to stand outside for ages to look out for the driver, because he kept lying and saying he was on our road. Although the food itself is always good, it was lukewarm at best when it arrived. We were given 50% off the bill, but not before the guy on the phone had made every excuse (that it was raining lightly!) and shouting and swearing at me on the phone. Wouldn't recommend anymore.
Spicy Hut – RusholmeVery disappointing. Food was luke warm and portions were tiny We paid £15 a head for mixed vegetarian and fish thali - for this we each got two prawns, one tiny piece of fish each and a few potatoes and beans which had clearly been sat around for sometime before they were brought out to us. They were generous with the rice though. The drinks that we ordered weren't brought out and still didn't come when we reminded the waitress. Waitress cleared the table after main course and didn't return for 20 mins to ask whether we would like any dessert. We had lost the will by this time so we left the restaurant hungry and thirsty.
Cachumba – Didsburyoutstanding place, me and my wife go there quite often the taste is amazing and the staff are very friendly they even remember your names after a few visits can't complain one bit try the stake or the chicken liver mmmm, we have been to many quality restaurants all over the UK and the world this comes very close to the top, even though the area isn't the best this restaurant makes up for it.
Pagliacci – HydeI recently went here with my boyfriend for a nice meal, we were put in a corner at the back which originally seemed quite and nice. After 10 minutes nobody had come to offer us a drink and when they finally did the waiter was rude and pushy. When it comes to curry I ALWAYS ask for a medium hot madras and at any other restaurant in Manchester this has always been no problem, the waiter proceeded to tell me "so you want a medium curry" after stating that wasn't what I wanted and that i'd look but could we just have the starters for now he proceeded to tell me how hot a Madras was and then read the whole menu out to me as if talking to an incompetent child. After 10 minutes he came back again asking had i decided on my mains yet to which i replied "the starters are fine for now" and he walked away shaking his head. The starters then took a further 20 minutes to arrive (and the restaurant wasn't busy) while another 2 waiters came over to see if we'd like mains. After the wait and rudeness of the first waiter I'd been completely put off for the simple fact that I will not be forced into eating when I am paying for a decent service. Eventually after having 2 starters (which to be fair were quite nice) and a pint and a half of carling the bill came £14.90 which i find ridiculous as the starters weren't extravagant ones. If you work in a restaurant at 60/ 70 it doesn't mean you can try to intimidate people to eat certain things or be plain rude. All in all a terrible experience of The "Great" Kathmandu.
Great Kathmandu – DidsburyWe visited Istanbul Grill in Prestwich in September 2011 on a Thursday night. There were three of us in the party and we have always enjoyed Cafe Istanbul in Manchester before so thought we would visit. It was a last minute decision so we didn't book. To summarise the food was great but the service was terrible - we will not be going back despite the great food. When we arrived it was fairly busy and we were told there would be a 20 minute wait for a table and did we want to have a drink while we waited. We then waited 20 minutes just to order drinks and nearly an hour for a table. The waiters were quite abrupt and rude and I don't mind waiting as long as I am made to feel like a human being and not a huge inconvenience as a customer. We ordered starters - I had garlic mushrooms and we also ordered olives and bread which were all delicious! For main I had the halibut with rice and this was beautiful. The fish was cooked perfectly and it tasted amazing. Ther other guests in the party really enjoyed their food too. It is a shame that the service we recieved was so bad - but so many restaurants nowadays don't seem to be able to marry great food with great service.
Istanbul Grill – Prestwichgreat pub with a good selection on the menu , theres loads of choice of beers and wines .. service and food is brilliant
Fairfield Arms – AudenshawWe went to this restaurant last weekend. It was fabulous! The food was divine. The staff were friendly and wanted nothing more than to please. Hats off to the chef as that was the best meal I have tasted in a long time. The restaurant was in a lovely location and has just been refurbished too which gives it that extra special edge. We heard of the new restaurant as the gentleman that own it also have Baci Restaurant which is in Harwood near Bolton again another fantastic restaurant.
Ciao Baby – BoltonJust wanted to provide some comments on the above restaurant. I have been going here for some months now, but took a large group (14) last evening and can say they we were very well looked after. Food selection was excellent as was the standard of the cooking. Service was exemplary, in fact the staff could not do enough for the group. Drinks were kept flowing all evening. The whole group commented on one of the best nights out arranged. Food comments were similarly commendable, with dishes to suit every taste and dietary requirement. A must visit location. 5 Stars.
Khandoker Restaurant – BramhallWent for a meal last night, service was poor to say the least. People were coming in and being served, when we had placed our order sometime before. The excuse was we have a lot of tickets in, well people should be served in order. Then when chased again its just being plated up. 15 minutes later are meals arrived.. It was only a beef and ale pie and a steak!, so not a lot a plating up. No apology would you like a coffee. The steak was described in the menu as a 8oz T bone steak at £17 when it arrived my wife said it looks like a slice of roast beef a 1/4 " thin. Total meal with wine and drinks £67. One starter two main and one sweet., and poor service/. Will not be going again.
Shoulder Of Mutton – RamsbottomI have been to Oklahome twice. The first time I was very impressed with the shop itself and also ordered some food to take away: sweet potato with lentils. Although it wasn't cheap, it was a good size potato and the topping was really nice. So I went again. After spending £30 in the shop I went to get a sweet potato with goats cheese and roasted vegetables to find out that the price had gone up and it was now £5.50!! I still got the potato but to my disappointment it was a lot smaller and the vegetables were not well cooked so it was a very disappointing and expensive lunch! The guy at the till wasn't particularly nice either... It is a shame as I love the concept of the shop but you don't get value for money with their food and for the price they should really try to work on their service.
