We have eaten at this wonderful restaurant now many times and the food and service just gets better and better I cannot praise them highly enough!! Wonderful ! Wonderful!
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonThe Parade Fish Shop holds a Fish and Chip Quality Award from the National Federation of Fish Friers. It is one of only a handful of shops around the country to have this award. You can be confident of the quality of the product and the service at this shop.
Parade Fish Bar – Swintonhighly recommend
Blacksticks Restaurant – EcclesWe had a family meal at Sul Lago. Lovely food, very friendly and efficient staff and great service. Definitely a place to return to. Would advise that you book at weekends as even early on Saturday it was rather busy.
Sul Lago – Oldhamgreat thali at £6.99 mon - fri. It has a cafe atmosphere and parking in front. Great range of savoury and sweets to take out. One of the few places in Manchester to do quality Indian vegetarian food at a good price. I would highly recommend this place.
Lily’s Vegetarian Indian Cuisine – Ashton Under Lynethe choice of food was excellent. The service we received was fantastic. I would recommend others to your restaurant without hesitation. The value was second to none and attention to detail was impeccable. The ambiance was really nice, just what you need after a nice long walk.
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonExcellant food great atmosphere, Andrew and jackie and kevin are Great!
Tapios Restaurant – Middletonwent for a meal on 2nd of may 2011 had to wait half an hour to get a table,so was hoping for some good food and what a let down it was, nachos for 2 to start with but needed a magnifying glass 2 see the cheese on top, then we had steak and duck main course steak was o.k. came with Caesar salad chips you don't get any veg, the duck again OK the skin not crispy which is nice when u have duck some salad and burned roast potatoes which it came with had to ask for hoisin sauce which they forgot wish i had not bothered because it was not nice at all, but wait i can recommend the garlic bread with cheese best part of the meal. I would say do not waste your money cost £35.00 ive had much better meals on a two for £10.00 deal would never go again.
Wiggin Tree – WiganVisited this restaurant many times and has been excellent UNTIL tonight. Menu changed - okay can deal with no steak!- but service and attitude of the one waiter was APPALLING. When we complained, he was rude and suggested that the kitchen was busy. There was only one other table occupied so busy was not really the word I would use. The food was not of the great quality experienced on past visits and they couldn't even get our order right - it really was not complicated (lamp chop and chips - instead, we got lamp chops, salad and roasted veg) Disappointing and shall not be returning
Due Fratelli – ChorltonWas known until recently as Detox-Retox. But has been re-branded Bistro 1847. 1847 being the year the vegetarian Society was formed. The bar offers a fantastic range of cocktails, spirits, wines & bottle beers, all of which are suitable for a vegetarian diet. Great imaginative food which is exclusively vegetarian, and some superb Vegan options, even my meat eating friends were also pleasantly surprised with how good the dishes were. Will definitely be back!!
Bistro 1847 – Manchester City CentreStarter - scallops x 2 plus homemade pork crackling and foam !! Very good - Not enough and far too expensive (£6.95) Main - Home made steak and ale pie. Gravy too thin and oily, Steak needed cutting up more and pastry just for show !! 2mm thick and about 20cm above the filling !! Sorry but I like to eat pastry when ordering pie !! Dessert - Home Made Chocolate Fondent Pudding & homemade ice cream. Fantastic !!!!!!!! Service & ambiance Good/bit slow, regulars looked at us as if we shouldn't be there.
Shoulder Of Mutton – RamsbottomWe visited Viva Espana for the first time on a Wednesday night. It was a good job that we'd booked, it's such a tiny place. Very homely, authentic music adds to the atmosphere. The food portions were larger than expected so we ordered too much. We will have to return so that we can try a pudding, as the menu looked very tempting. All the tapas we ate were very tasty. Parking just across the road and good service. We definitely recommend.
Viva Espana – HorwichThe self proclaimed "purveyors of real ale, fine food, splendid wine and atmosphere" - Spot on description I'll say! Prices pretty reasonable too. Must try out their sister establishments ODD and ODDEST
Odder – Manchester City CentreExcellent dosas / idli. very reasonable prices. great place to try south Indian food. Very pleasant service. Only gripe is poster on wall stating they don't give tap water, and 50p for bottled water. Such a shame as tap water is standard in most Indian cafes. That aside, I will certainly revisit and try the thali
DosaXpress – DidsburyAlways enjoy going to the restaurant - the food is so tasty and the atmosphere is good. The service friendly and we always have a wonderful meal!
Piccolino – DidsburyI was expecting authentic Spanish cuisine, what I got was truly flabbergasting. Frozen surimi crab claw that had been PRE-BOUGHT, ready made and frozen (Do a google search on frozen surimi and look at images) which was tasteless and pure white imitation crab meat (no fresh crab to or fresh anything to be found at El Rincon except the side salad of half a tomato and 2 slices of cucumber on one of the plates!). Everything was covered with tinned tomatoes on every dish, and all dishes tasted the same except for the frozen meatballs, the meat was tasteless but I got a hit of chilli with the tinned tomatoes this time. The same with the squid it was chewy and clearly pre-frozen. Very disappointingly (because this place could be so good, and has gone very downhill) the management have obviously decided to cut corners in an effort to turn over tables. Service wise everything came within 5 minutes of ordering and as we had barely taken the last contents of a dish the plates were whisked away from us within a split of a second. The wait staff were constantly hovering making it a stressful evening (we were in and out within 40 minutes!)
El Rincon de Rafa – Manchester City Centreyeah its too good.......Staffs are very friendly, nice and hospitable....Food is also awesome...... KMR
Red Lounge – AudenshawI have enjoyed curries for more than 30 years & this has to be the best Indian Restaurant in Manchester. I have been here many times & the dishes are very varied in taste. Meat quaility is excellent & spicing is truly exotic & interesting. There are flavours of fennel, fenugreek, cardamom etc. The Lamb Rogan Ghosht & Pilau Rice here are the best I have eaten for years. The exemplary service puts other Asian restaurants to shame. The only sensation you are likely to get along the Rusholme curry mile these days is of poor overcooked meat combined with varying degrees of cheap chilli powder...
