Top restaurant, visited for the first time last weekend - cant believe we haven't been here before. Will certainly be recommending to friends and family
Siam Village Restaurant – StockportOne of the best and most consistent Chinese restaurant's in Manchester. Good atmosphere.
Pond Quay Restaurant – UrmstonWe regularly go to la Roma as a one stop shop. Easy going- fab staff- great food- service is amazing and the best puddings!!!!! Plus real authentic Italian staff can't beat that.
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonOk, granted this is a tapas restaurant that offer a fairly reasonable menu, however the quality and variety of the dishes left a lot to be desired last Saturday afternoon. The same sauce seemed to run through most of the chicken dishes, most of the dishes were bland and unimaginative though the whitefish and calimari were not bad. We could taste the cooking fat in the potato dishes and well, do not get me started on the cleanliness. Our table was so sticky that my partners book actually stuck to it when put down, as did our napkins, glasses and bowls. Definitely a place we will not be in a hurry to return to.
La Salsa – HorwichI used to eat in here every week!! What a brilliant chippie this is, I highly recommend getting yourself down here to try their lovely fish. I don't live in Manchester any more so I do miss my weekly fix! Thanks for all the good food guys keep up the great work
The Battered Cod – Didsburylove this restaurant great food great atmosphere what more could you want try it
Due Fratelli – Chorltonwe have eaten here a number of times and has always been excellent service and food! i would recommend it!
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonBooked a table and the pub booked us in on the wrong day!!! 'Squeezed' us in, then less than two hours later when we hadn't finished our meal told us they wanted the table back in 5 mins!!! Good service, I think not! When challenged the Landlord was very unsympathetic and said we could pay him £15 a head to keep the table all night?! I think we'd spent more than enough if this was his attitude! Apparently all bookings made before 8pm only have a table for 2hrs- and are you told this when you book a table? Well we certainly weren't. Spoiled the celebration of my sister's birthday and engagement, will not be recommending or returning. Although you do seem to get reasonable treatment if you're a regular, but as to new business- don't seem to give a stuff. Will be booking at the Roebuck next time.
Old Original – OldhamIt does me
Red Lounge – AudenshawLovely restaurant! Last Tuesday I went with my colleagues from work to eat at San Remo. It was very crowded but nothing affected the food quality and the service. The manager was on his own but did very well, we were served on time and he made time to make a joke with us. The food was very good and we couldn't believe it wasn't pricey. The early bird menu is awesome! We'll be back for sure!
San Remo – Audenshawwent for my birthday 12.03.2011 and what a fabulous night, service was as usual brilliant, food was the best, the price couldn't be beaten. Usually its just for 2 but this time for 8, nothing was a problem for them , made for a really memorable evening. thanks so much leo's x
Leo’s Restaurant – Monton10/ 10 best ruby I've had for an age go there its good
T-Spoon – HarpurheyGood standard of food, but a lot left to be desired! Recently went to celebrate a birthday in a group of 10(2 young children included) had booked in advance and was really looking forward to good Japanese food having read the reviews. Although the food was good, we had to keep reminding the staff about drinks and any extras we ordered, even though the restaurant was not full. Finally although we asked at the beginning to pay separate bills, we had to wait over 45 mins paying the bill, 15mins waiting at the table and another 20 mins plus, stood waiting around whilst the waitress tried to work it all out. Very disappointing, especially as this meant our friends with the children had to leave ahead early as the children were getting restless having to wait so long. I left feeling extremely disappointed that on a special occasion we left wondering if we had been overcharged as the waitress could not explain the bill and seem to work things out properly on the calculator and the bills individually seemed expensive. But after 40 mins we just wanted to go. Good food, but definitely would not go again if more than 3 or 4 people, as being a bigger group seemed to be problematic to the restaurant
Tokyo Season – Manchester City Centrebeing Iranian my self its such a shame to see such a nice place has been let down by the chef ,the service wasn't that good back home this wouldn't even be accepted as a sandwich bar never mind the restaurant shame
Shiraz Restaurant – NorthendenWe didn't eat but enjoyed excellent whisky Sours in a cool atmospheric environment. Will return for a meal but I here they do a mean breakfast too.
The Alchemist – SpinningfieldsNot only the best place to eat in Stockport.....but probably the best place in Manchester....(in my opinion)!! This place is so understated....simply a doorway and a flight of stairs leading to a very 70's style retro cafe. One is usually greeted by Tony...(so disappointing when he isn't there)...warm, welcoming and humourous.....(those who aren't sure about his table-side jokes...must be boring old souls, for sure) He's an amazing, quirky guy...adding something very special to the overall atmosphere of the place. The food, needless to say, is simply superb....fresh, flame-grilled, delicious....decidedly healthy....and just perfectly Greek...and as if that isn't enough....it's reasonably priced too! Although I highly recommend Rosafa, at the same time, I feel almost loathed to do so...reason being, I know that once the word is out...folk will be hiking over from Didsbury/Hale and other such far flung places, (on their hunt for hip/cool)... spreading the word and convincing themselves they discovered the place!! (final word?...too cool for words...and..... emmm...I got there first!!!!)
Rozafa Taverna – StockportOne of the worst restaurants i have ever been to, the decor, menu, service was dated and not in a good way, the food was awful, mostly inedible. there was about 20 of us in our party and they could not handle our food order, our food arrived at different times, some 20 minutes apart and it was overcooked, greasy and quite expensive! i honestly cannot think of one good thing about this place. An insult to real Italian food
