We used to go to La Roma when it was based at the King William in Bromley Cross and were very disappointed when Stefano had to move. We were delighted to find out recently where his new restaurant was and immediately booked for a meal. We were not disappointed. The food was even better than before, you are made welcome as soon as you enter the restaurant until you leave. We have a five year old daughter and she loves going to La Roma especially for the bread sticks and garlic bread with cheese. If you are an italian lover I would highly recommend La Roma for any occasion.

Have been many times never disappointed,quality food thats always fresh, staff friendly & helpful, modern style inside sets it off fantastic although outside looks unusual but don't let it put you off well worth a visit

We have eaten here a number of times and the food has always been excellent and the staff friendly and very helpful. The set lunch is excellent value.

Sottovento has changed hands, but for the better! The menu is much better now. The staff can't do enough for you. There's no rush and the atmosphere is relaxed.

I went to Greens for a Saturday lunch with my husband who is vegetarian and my 3 year old daughter. I have to say that I was not impressed by the person who greeted us. He looked at my child as if she was going to be a problem, which I was surprised about given that they have a children's menu. I would also point out that my daughter was extremely well behaved and quiet. On the plus side the food was marvellous and I would definitely visit again, but the welcome on this occasion left a lot to be desired.

My partner and I spent our first child-free evening in over three years at this new restaurant during it's first week of opening. We were not disappointed with any aspect of our four hour experience. The restaurant was busy but not uncomfortably so; the service was the right side of attentive without being intrusive and the food was exceptional with nothing whatsoever to fault it. - from the garlic bread we shared whilst choosing our meal to the desserts that rounded off our evening (Frederick's ice cream was definitely a bonus for me). If I had to make one minor criticism it would be about the wine list which, though not extensive, was a little more expensive than we're accustomed to. Our bottle of Barbera cost £22 when we usually pay £16-£18 and as this was a kind of celebration we were disappointed to discover that the bottle of Barolo (£39) was sold out leaving us to settle for an Amarone at £45. Thus the wine accounted for almost 50% of the final bill of £130 for the two of us! In fairness we were treating ourselves as ordinarily we don't use taxis and don't spend more than £20 on wine to accompany our meal so the average bill would probably be closer to £50. We shall definitely be returning, with kids, and would certainly recommend Santino to anyone who loves Italian food, with excellent service in comfortable surroundings.

We visited Sugo for the first time last night with our two children (9 & 3) and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening with fantastic freshly-prepared food and friendly attentive service from an Armenian waitress who listened to my partner's specific needs. The restaurant was relatively quiet compared to it's sister restaurant, Cappanina in Bury. which we frequent often. The menu is identical being printed for all four restaurants whose details appear on the reverse - there is only Zio in Nelson that we haven't yet visited and are unlikely to because of the distance. The food was truly excellent and for once both children finished their meals which enabled us to enjoy our own three courses accompanied by a bottle of Sardinian grenache or Cannonau as it labelled. We shall definitely be returning as although it the menu and decor are virtually indistinguishable from the closer Cappanina it was a winner with the children - possibly due to the little red Fiat filled with wine bottles in the centre of the room!

This place is an absolute gem, hidden away in Ashton. The staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming, the atmosphere is relaxed and informal, and the food is absolutely fantastic - by far the best Indian food I've had in the North West, with the possible exception of Sanmini's in Ramsbottom (which is considerably more expensive than Lily's). There's a fabulous selection on the menu, including authentic home-made starters/snacks like idli and sambar; and a delicious lentil pancake. The main courses are varied and authentic, and all vegetarian. Paneer features frequently, and all of the four main courses I've tried so far have been delicious. Portions are very generous, and at around £4 for a main course it's extremely cheap. The salted lassi is fantastic, the perfect way to wash down a curry - salty and acidic with a smattering of fresh green herbs. The Indian sweets are beautiful, home-made, delicious and very reasonably priced. With substantial starters, poppadoms, drinks, main courses and accompaniments, my meals usually come to around £12 a head - and that's invariably left me stuffed to the gills. They also have a very cheap take-away menu with things like vegetable thali and chapatis for under £4. There's parking at the front and an Indian food emporium next door. All in all, the perfect cafe experience! I've been going back regularly since I discovered it on Sugarvine, and can't recommend it highly enough.

Five of us had a splendid meal at reasonable rates. Wheel chair friendly and very people friendly too. Great pastry used in all pizzas meals and the extensive menu was as good as any big city restaurant. Well done, we'll be back!

Excellent standard of food, my favourite is the chicken tikka kebab that comes on a huge fluffy naan bread, very fresh, my favourite Indian in the area.

Don't bother - food not great and the service was appalling and bordering on aggressive! These people have no idea what customer service is, reading the previous reviews I am surprised they are so good! The experience for 16 of us tonight (All health care professionals - treated like rubbish) will not be going again! Don't like to be so negative but a really terrible experience - do not waste your money - because they offer no compensation for poor food or service! just lip!!

We are regular visitors to the Owls - along with various other "couples" who enjoy excellent food at very sensible prices. One of those couples, who are both strict vegetarians, absolutely love the food there and join-us fairly regularly. Indeed, I was just about to pick-up the phone and book a table for one day next week - when we will be dining there at lunchtime.

Had the worst meal of my dining history last night at this restaurant. I had cannelloni and it was extremely poor quality, the meat was pale grey and fluid like and the pasta underdone. The portion size was too small if it had been edible and today I have terrible tummy ache. I'm not one for writing reviews but the food was so disgusting I don't want anyone to ruin a nice night out by eating there so have gone out of my way to write a review. Utterly dreadful!

Brilliant little place, exceptional food, good solid service and ridiculous value for money. The bento box concept is excellent fun. My recommendation is get a bento box and call it quits there, get a starter only if you are very sure you've got a monster appetite. (I couldn't manage it all) The bang bang chicken salad is wonderful, and the steamed dim sum are luscious. a must visit, even if you aren't a chorlton local

Me and my other half frequented this restaurant, and I have to give it a disappointed thumbs down. The fish cakes where rubbery to the point of inedible, and my char-grilled prawns burnt to the point of stinking my fingers for the following two hours. The decor is much improved from the old greyhound though, and the front of house service is excellent. Shame about the execution of some very simple dishes, made all the more embarrassing by the complete lack of other custom in the restaurant. Don't bother visiting if you are a discerning thai food junkie.
