Ruposhi Indian Restaurant – Buryfood was good staff were lovely..... the magician was not as good as the first magician we seen !!
Nam Ploy – BoltonWe visited the Punjab Tandoori on 27/01/2012 on the strength of the strong reviews we found in support of this place online, and none of the party of five left disappointed! This is a fantastic, restaurant despite the basic appearance from the street (admittedly the decor throughout is quite domestic)The staff however are friendly and helpful, serving drinks and poppadoms with tray within minutes of being seated. We started with the dhosas (£6 each), which are essentially the sort of pancakes you would serve up on pancake day, but without the lemon and sugar, and much crispier and more savoury. They were cooked to perfection and full of flavour. We shared 2 of these between 4 people, opting for the paneer and keema varieties. The keema was wonderfully fresh dressed with fresh coriander, and the paneer almost melted in the mouth. This was more than ample as a starter between 2 people. The party also ordered a seekh kebab, (2 kebabs served with typical side salad) which was slightly spicier than the norm, but nothing extraordinary. The restaurant serves many traditional punjab dishes, which you may not encounter in other curry establishments, so naturally we opted to try a few of these. They also offer the mainstream curries also, with the Tikka Massalla
Punjab Tandoori – RusholmeI visited your restaurant with the tangent party on 26/1/12 for the first time, I was very impressed with menu and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I will definitely be visiting again.Eileen
The Fat Pig – WesthoughtonMy last experience at this restaurant was AWFUL! I have been to this restaurant many times and generally receive an adequate standard of food and service. My most recent trip i received neither and left shocked at how rude the staff were. Our issue was that we booked a table but after 30 mins waiting, still hadn't sat down, despite 3 other parties (without booking) getting their tables before us. We questioned why they said there was a table (when we rang up and booked) and why we couldn't sit at one of the empty tables - we received a plethora of rude responses. This was before having our change thrown across the bar at us at the mere suggestion of leaving. There was a total lack of respect, customer service, and common decency. We go to restaurants to pay for a good meal / atmosphere/ service; this restaurant left a lot to be desired and the staff seemed totally unaware of the concept of the service industry and the premise that the customer is always right. We ended up leaving the restaurant and eating elsewhere. will definitely not be going back in a hurry. Unbelievable that restaurants treat their customers so badly.
Basmati Restaurant – Wiganset in a small town with lots of individual shops this restaurant is a little treasure. We ate in however it seems lots of people also order takeaway. The staff are very friendly and the food very good quality. The mixed starter for 2 was excellent. The main courses equally as nice. I went for a garlic/pepper chicken dish and my partner the prawn with ginger, peppers, chili very satisfied indeed. good choice of menu as you can pretty much select any dish with any meat/fish.
Spice Garden – RamsbottomHave been to momentum at least 10 times now and it just keeps getting better the new 2 for 1 bar snacks is what has prompted this review i had the chilli squid taco with mango salsa and it was to die for!!!! me and the girls sat there from 5-7 drinking 2 4 1 cocktails eating 2 4 1 snacks it was a total bargain of a night out, I've also had dinner there in the evening with my hubby and it was again surprisingly cheap compared to other places in the area, considering the standard of food ...the sea bass is amazing!
Momentum Restaurant & Lounge – WesthoughtonWe went to Nicks last Sunday, 15th January 2012. I had high expectations as I had been to the restaurant on Chorley Old Road. I was not disappointed. It was a Sunday menu, roast beef, chicken, lamb, seabass. I had the chicken and my husband had beef, really generous portions, lovely meat, thoroughly enjoyable. The service was also good seeing as there was a party of 15 of us. Will be booking again soon. Lounge bar was also a good touch downstairs
The Fat Pig – WesthoughtonThis is a real hidden gem. Great authentic and reasonably priced Korean food. Decor understated slightly traditional, staff in Korean style uniform. V polite, good service, great Bibim Bab! The food is prepared fairly quickly so don't expect a 3 hour long experience, but we have eaten here 7-8 times and never been disappointed. Enjoy!
Koreana – Manchester City Centrewe have not been to the far pavilion for five years after reading the reviews on this sight we decided to pay a visit i have got to say the service and food was excellent we will be eating in or getting our takeaways from you in the future well done
New Far Pavilion – SwintonMy husband and I had a fantastic meal here on New Year’s Day – 1 January 2012. The restaurant has recently re-opened under new ownership (previously called Naseeb). We hadn’t booked, but we were offered a table straight away and made to feel very welcome by the manager and the staff. The restaurant is small but very comfortable; the décor is nice and they have a carpet so it’s not as noisy as these modern echoing “tiled” places! We had poppadoms and chutneys as a first course; the poppadoms were nice and fresh and the chutneys were delicious served on a little platter, mango, raita, onions and lime pickle. For out next course we had a mixed starter each, the kebabs were really nice, spicy and hot. Both were generous portions and served with salad. For our main courses we had a chicken kharai and a lamb Madras. Both dishes were lovely and hot and the meat was delicious. Again they were both very generous portions, served with rice and a sweet nan bread. I particularly like the Madras as it had a very good traditional style flavour – some places don’t quite get the spices right but this was perfect. We had wine with our meal, just the house white but it was a good quality and we enjoyed it.Throughout the meal the service was excellent, we didn’t have to wait between courses and the staff seemed friendly and courteous. We felt we had a lot of food, it was good value for money (under £40) and it was a nice evening out, we would definitely go back here.
Jaypur Balti – SwintonExcellent food, good service, very good wine list, pleasant decor, value for money, what more can I say, will be returning and recommending to friends
Double Tree Indian Restaurant – AltrinchamFor the most authentic Japanese flavours, the winner is far and away Yuzu, which was the only restaurant that made me think of Japan, of the people I knew there, and the restaurants in which we ate.
Yuzu – Manchester ChinatownThe lambs chops just are the best !!!
Turkish Delight – ChorltonTurkish Delight is at the top of my list as Turkish restaurants go in Chorlton. The menu is top notch and my friend and I could not wait to be seated, its a very popular place in Chorlton and well loved for the top food that is on every day of the week. TD is a fave place to be after work and the take away is fab, but as it was a special occasion , we spent it there celebrating, the meal was exquisite , we shared our starters, my friend had a medley of prawns that had us drooling and the same went for the vegetarian starters ! we opted for Lamb on a bed of onions and mushrooms - and was cooked to perfection. The service and value for money is amazing, and it shows, this family run business is in a niche of its own, and rightly so, its integrity and passion for food cannot be surpassed. It really is true to its name and certainly is a ' Turkish Delight'! Thanks for a great evening guys!!!!
Turkish Delight – ChorltonGreat place, dined twice this month & can't praise highly enough. Met Adam (manager) & Simon (chef) really genuine down=to=earth guys who actually seem to care, encourage feedback & want to succeed. Great food, top service, just what Manchester needs
Sole Seafood Restaurant & Bar – Manchester City CentreVisited this new Italian eatery a few times now and have basically fallen in love with the pizza... I know its all about the experience, decor and the welcome, but that for me just seems to be there every time I go in, but the pizza - wow! Is all I can say.If you are going to the Opera House, staying at the Hilton and fancy a change of restaurant, or are exhibiting at one of the exhibitions in Manchester, Per Tutti with its clean modern lines and decor, open kitchen fun atmosphere and simply, brilliant traditional Napoli pizza it is a winner. If you haven’t tried Per Tutti yet, it’s 50 yards down Liverpool Road, which is opposite The Hilton Hotel on Deansgate in Manchester . Enjoy
Per Tutti – Manchester City CentreMy Husband and I have visited Green's on a number of occasions and this restaurant never lets us down. Once again a fabulous visit, the menu choice was brilliant I almost couldn't make a decision. In the end I went for the red pepper and goats cheese pate which was served with the most delicious rye bread, my husband opted for the black pudding scotch egg which was also delicious, for mains we choose the Moroccan chick pea parcel and sausages and mash both of which were outstanding. Service and atmosphere both also great and at around £20 per head including our drinks it doesn't get much better than that!
