Sandinista! Cafe Bar – Manchester City CentreAbsolutely Amazing Food, top notch standard of service. I recommend the ruposhi house special and they also do a scrumdiddlyumptious Asian style lamb shank!!! nom nom nom!!!
Ruposhi Indian Restaurant – BuryWe went as a couple to Momentum on the last Saturday in January. The place was very busy and although we had a table booked we decide to have a drink first in the small lounge bar. Service was slow as there were only two members of staff in the bar but we eventually got our drinks and sat down. When we were shown to our table the meal was served after a short wait. The food was delicious, my husband had the steak and I had the butternut squash risotto. We both chose the toffee apple and pear crumble for dessert and while I enjoyed mine I would have preferred to have an option to have something other than ice cream with it. However I must comment on the service in the restaurant as I was very disappointed with it. It took an age for them to bring the bill at the end and then they brought us the wrong bill!! It then took equally as long to grab the waitress's attention again to point out their mistake and then even longer for her to finally bring the right bill. Another long wait then ensued before we could actually pay. I appreciate that we were only a couple and the restaurant was busy with tables of 4 or more but we both felt ignored. If we were to visit Momentum again we would choose a week night when it might be quieter and the service better.
Momentum Restaurant & Lounge – Westhoughtona great place with a laid back atmosphere, quirky vibe, myself and my partner recently visited and will be back again and again, the food was delicious, it hosts a lancashire tapas menu with plenty of choice, from deli meat platters to homemade fishcakes, lamb kofta ad many other mouth watering delights...my personal favourite being the homemade fat chips, lightly spiced, cooked to perfection and served with homemade dip,the staff were helpful and friendly and the service was excellent, also the place hosts lots of musical delights such as live music on thurs, djs fri and sat and even a jam night on a Sunday!!! definitely the place to be!!!!!!!!
First Chop – RamsbottomIf u want a unique experience with the feel of a Manchester hot spot with the love
First Chop – RamsbottomDelicious, no-nonsense Italian cuisine in an informal cafe style setting. The menu served a standard range of dishes, and the ones we chose were cooked to perfection. The service was both friendly and efficient, and the prices are pretty standard, but worth it. La Lupa appears to have a local, regular crowd, and after one visit I can see why. We'll be going again.
La Lupa – StalybridgeGreat beer, great atmosphere, GREAT burgers!! Didn't try the tapas but what I saw going past me made me want to come back. This bar would really not be out of place in any European city. The service and the music were great too! I'll be back, time and time again!
First Chop – RamsbottomWonderful addition to Manchester, top notch cuisine, top class service. Not massively fishy so not sure whether you can call it a seafood restaurant. That aside flavours were amazing, professional service which was friendly without being too pretentious. Nice uniforms!! Decor is quite odd, needs photos or pictures, does seem somewhat bare. Overall very good easily the best restaurant in Manchester with regards to food & service just other little issues need sorting. Well worth a visit for sure.
Sole Seafood Restaurant & Bar – Manchester City CentreWe have eaten here several times now and the food has been very nice. Unfortunately, the last 3 occasions have been spoilt by the staff having screaming toddlers in the restaurant. Working all day and going out to chat and wind down - this isn't much fun. Sorry, we have given it 2 more chances, but we have decided won’t be going back again. Such a shame.
Spice Garden – RamsbottomWhat can I say, I've never submitted a review before but after my experience on Saturday night (and since) I felt compelled to relate my views on Viva Espana. My partner and I booked a table for 8pm, upon arriving we were greeted pleasantly, given our menus and ordered drinks. It was all downhill from there, it took close on 45 mins for our dishes to arrive, the couple on the adjacent table also ordered at the same time and also waited a similar ludicrous amount of time. When the dishes finally arrived the olives I ordered didn't arrive, frankly by that point I couldn't be bothered telling them though it didn't stop them from putting it on the bill. the food was reasonable, we paid the bill and left. Very soon after leaving I started to feel queasy and gradually became increasingly unwell culminating in spending most of the night being violently sick and having severe diarrohea symptoms and as I write this on Monday evening I'm only just starting to feel human again. I'm afraid I can only attribute this to something I ate at the restaurant most likely culprit being the mixed fried seafood dish. Needless to say with the substandard service combined with a severe bout of food poisoning I'd recommend anyone to give this place the widest possible berth.
Viva Espana – HorwichBellissimo! Thank you very much for the great evening we had on my wife's birthday. Great food, nice atmosphere and attentive service. The barbecue ribs are to die for and I had one of the best veal in years. My wife loves the chicken with paprika sauce. The service was polite and friendly, that guy Chris looked after us and made sure there's nothing missing. You were recommended by a relative and I'm glad it happened. I will see you soon for sure.
San Remo – AudenshawLovely restaurant, great food, good service, friendly staff very helpful when explaining dishes, Would definitely recommend a visit.
Ruposhi Indian Restaurant – BuryHad an appalling Pizza tonight at Pizza Express Bury with my daughter as the thin base tasted like cardboard (It was called something like Americano). The meat and veg were fine but the base taste was substandard. I did complain to the waiter but no action was taken. Never again.
Pizza Express – BuryLovely food never been disappointed recommend 5*
J J’s Hong Kong Kitchen – OldhamWe eat here regularly. Standard of food is very good - like Chinatown without having to travel to Manchester. Ambiance is good and service excellent. All in all highly recommended.
The China Room – WesthoughtonHaven't been for a while and used to enjoy it here but recent visit was very disappointing. Vegetable soup was blended to oblivion with little taste; gammon overcooked and tough; steak not cooked to order. Very poor standard. Will not be returning.
Rigbye Arms Country Inn and Bistro – Wiganfood was good staff were lovely..... the magician was not as good as the first magician we seen !!
Nam Ploy – BoltonWe visited the Punjab Tandoori on 27/01/2012 on the strength of the strong reviews we found in support of this place online, and none of the party of five left disappointed! This is a fantastic, restaurant despite the basic appearance from the street (admittedly the decor throughout is quite domestic)The staff however are friendly and helpful, serving drinks and poppadoms with tray within minutes of being seated. We started with the dhosas (£6 each), which are essentially the sort of pancakes you would serve up on pancake day, but without the lemon and sugar, and much crispier and more savoury. They were cooked to perfection and full of flavour. We shared 2 of these between 4 people, opting for the paneer and keema varieties. The keema was wonderfully fresh dressed with fresh coriander, and the paneer almost melted in the mouth. This was more than ample as a starter between 2 people. The party also ordered a seekh kebab, (2 kebabs served with typical side salad) which was slightly spicier than the norm, but nothing extraordinary. The restaurant serves many traditional punjab dishes, which you may not encounter in other curry establishments, so naturally we opted to try a few of these. They also offer the mainstream curries also, with the Tikka Massalla
