Papa G’S Grill and Bar – The PrintworksThis place had been recommended by a friend who ALWAYS knows the best places to eat. We were not disappointed! Unable to go out as often as we'd like for evening meals this is now our number one takeaway too. Very tasty generous portions.
Yakisoba – ChorltonFantastic restaurant. Food is excellent and good prices.
East India – StockportI love Turkish delight iv recently moved away from Chorlton and have had to take the 4 mile drive from urmston back here !! food is fresh as it gets , theres no let up with the take away side its restaurant quality in a plastic bag ! , great price , great staff both restaurant and counter. houmas is divine the lamb is so so tender iv had kebabs from all over manc but this is by far the best real Turkish kebab iv eaten in a 100 mile radius, score out of 10 ? its gotta be 11 !! all this talk kebabs , where are my car keys?
Turkish Delight – ChorltonLovely food, great atmosphere
Bouzouki By Night – Manchester City Centrethe food is excellent ( especially the chatins )and so are the waiters there, all dressed up in black showing a glimpse of how handsome the pakistani men are.especially da one on the till.....
Mogul – WhitefieldI love Japanese food and was taken here by my boyfriend . the food is presented beautifully and tastes wonderful. Great place for a romantic night.
Yuzu – Manchester ChinatownBrilliant chippy. Reminds me of how all fish & chip shops used to be! Great service, good portions, and quality grub!
Sykes Fish and Chip Shop Cafe – SwintonWent with my wife last Friday on the strength of recommendations here and was very disappointed. They were very busy (7.30pm) and the staff were on a mission to get us fed and out the door asap from the word go. The menus had food from previous diners in between pages (yuk!) and once we had prised them open it was pretty standard fare. The poppadoms were actually very good and not the standard ones that are generally brought in. Starters (bhaji and samosas) were OK but both our mains were were the wrong side of average. I had chicken chat phat off the specialities section and my wife had lamb jalfrezi both were frankly horrible and we both left 50% + and we weren't questioned by the waiter as to why. the place couldn't handle the volume of people dining that night which may explain the poor quality but I won't ever return
Great Kathmandu – DidsburyThe most authentic Japanese food I've had in Manchester (and I lived in Japan for 5 years). Highly recommended.
Yuzu – Manchester Chinatownwe visited Ciao Bella last Friday on a wim basis and as a change from China Town. Both of us were extremely taken back by the friendly staff and the quality of the food.... My favourite restaurant in Manchester used to be Alberts Shed I can now say that Ciao Bella tops their very high standards and has become our top restaurant in Manchester. I would recommend that anyone gives this restaurant a chance as you wont be disappointed...!!!!
Ciao Bella Restaurant – Manchester City CentreVisited for the first time a couple of nights ago. Went in on the off-chance with no expectations. There were 5 of us and every main & starter was delicious. Innovative dishes and great flavour combinations - all cooked very well. Service was great - friendly but not too much. Food wasn't slow but wasn't super fast either which is perfect for me. Price was right/value for the quality of the meal. Would def recommend and will be returning.
Bistro West 156 – DidsburyCosy pub atmosphere with fantastic food, which far exceeding our expectations. The mutton & leek suet pudding was so nice, as were the chips which were the best I've had in a while. Sticky toffee pudding was lovely and light, (although it comes with custard, we asked for the homemade ice-cream & they were happy to oblige). Good selection of real ales, and the walk back down the hill into Ramsbottom finished off the evening nicely. Will definitely be going again.
Shoulder Of Mutton – RamsbottomVisited Sagnam Friday night and was surprised to see that they have cut the restaurant in half, but was really pleased with the excellent service and food ,place was almost full 8ish,and of course the price was spot on 40 quid ish for 4 plus a takeaway, inc a mountain of free poppadoms for starters ,well done Sagnam.
Sangam Restaurant – Rusholmetried this for the first time last Saturday, absolutely fantastic. service, atmosphere, drinks, all 3 courses brilliant. going again tonight! much better than the other 2 Italians nearby..
