Levers Fish and Chip Shop – OldhamAwful experience, used to love going here a few years ago, took a recent visit but really gone down hill. food and cleanliness terrible.
Moorcock Inn – LittleboroughWent with friends on a Sunday lunchtime, brought a menu home to show husband and he couldn't believe the choice! The food and service were superb and everyone agreed that it is by far the best tapas in the area, won't be long before I'm back again - in fact, at these prices, I can go every week and work my way through the menu!
La Salsa – HorwichThe food is great - try one of the massive burgers! Staff are young and friendly... great for a pub lunch in the week, fab with friends in the evening or a great place for a family get together on Sunday with a super Sunday Lunch. Best thing that's opened in Bramhall in a long time and a good pub is what it needed !
The Victorian – BramhallNot been there yet but thinking of taking a group from the meeting for staff christmas lunch
Rajdoot Tandoori – Manchester City CentreThe food is absolutely amazing!!! The best club sandwich I have ever had by a mile. If you want good food in a relaxed, elegant environment then you will love The New Victorian.
The Victorian – BramhallA group of us ate @ Zaika on July 20th, we were at the Gmex for the Manchester Furniture Show. Wow my taste buds are still tickling !!!! I have passed my business card to the owner & I have literally begged him to open a branch of Zaika in DC. The tasting/banquet menu made our lives a lot easier, can u imagine 19 gents ordering individual starters & mains...:)) Nightmare... :)) We will be back in the New Year, WELL DONE ZAIKA, its just a shame you don't deliver to the States..
Zaika – Manchester City CentreBeen to Leo's a couple of times and whilst the food has always been great and the atmosphere good, I can't help thinking it would be better if there were less tables. Crammed in again near the bar, bumped once or twice (again), it really is a shame that too many people are squeezed in. Perhaps at a less popular time(we were there at 8pm), it wouldn't be that bad? Obviously you go for the food and this is good. Enjoy.
Leo’s – HorwichLast Saturday, my husband and I visited San Remo for the first time. I have not enjoyed an Italian meal so much for a very long time -we received a warm and genuine welcome and the food was out of this world! Even the side vegetables that came with our superb steaks were perfection. Staff are helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. I can't believe we have not frequented this lovely restaurant before.
San Remo – Audenshawtry jacksons pie shop at the pub the pies are exceptional, and u cant beat the fish and chips.well worth the money
Jackson’s Boat – SaleI went to the owls restaurant last night with my girlfriend, and my 10 year old daughter, i would not take my dog there. i have been to 2 for 1 places with ten times the class. and i however hate 2 for 1 places. the food was rubbish, badly run, the chips where like school chips, mass produced rubbish. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND
The Owls At Standish – WiganThe fillet of beef was fab. However the veal with parma ham !! The parma Ham was cut like bacon and inedible. As for the veal,it was simply off !! It had a sour smell and taste and pink look that you get when beef is off as no matter how much you cook it,you cannot get rid of the pinkness.Just awful again !! I have been 3 times and every time it has been poor !! Never again !!
Leo’s Restaurant – MontonAs a regular customer for the past three years I have enjoyed meals at Velvet as I work within close proximity. Of late I have encountered several reasons that have lead me to decide not to return to your restaurant. These have included (in recent weeks), waiting 45 minutes for food and then being told that someone else has taken our order, when we received the order after nearly an hour, the order was not complete. On another occasion three out of four people being served and the other person in our party having to wait a further 15 minutes, and today when ringing in advance to order our food, the order we received was wrong. When going to pay for our bill by card and after several minutes of going back and forth being told that the card machine does not work. The waiter than asked the other people in our party if 'anyone else has cash' which was extremely embarrassing. As if this was not inconvenient enough I was asked to go and 'get cash back from somewhere else' to pay. When I suggested that I bring the money later in the afternoon I was told this would only be possible if I left my card details, including the security number. I was made to feel like I was refusing to pay or that my card had been declined, which was most certainly not the case. The outstanding bill was for £17, I think that the service was appalling and inappropriate for this amount, and I am certainly not going to give my security number to strangers in a restaurant. In the end I went to another bar and got cash, for which I was charged, and then the waiter did not offer me my change, for which I had to ask! I am disappointed and quiet frankly fed up with the poor customer service in your restaurant and will no longer continue to bring my custom. I would appreciate a response to this email, to assure me that someone in your team values the customer experience.
Velvet – Manchester City CentreTHE SHAME OF THIS COUNTRY IS ANYONE CAN WRITE ITALIAN CUISINE,WITHOUT BE ITALIAN AND NEVER EVER BEEN IN ITALY.THEY CAN BE FAKE AND SALE FAKE ITALIAN FOOD AND DONT GO IN PRISON. BUT IF YOU SALE FAKE ROLEX ? I THINK YOU FACE A PRISON. THIS HAPPEN COZ YOU BRITISH PEOPLE DONT HAVE ANY ROULES ABOUT, THAT ' S WHY MANY OF YOU IN 2010 STILL GET FOOD POISON COZ SKILL-LESS PEOPLE CAN GET THE KITCHEN WITHOUT CONTROLL,THAT 'S WHY MANY ITALIAN BUILDERS AND DRIVERS AND FARMERS STILL WORKING IN ITALIAN RESTAURANT,AND IN THIS WAY THEY ALLOWED FOREIGN PEOPLE TO THINK THEY ARE ITALIAN CHEFS,EVEN IF THEY DO NOT DISTINGUISH A SECONDO FROM SECONDINO OR MACCHERONI FROM PENNE ( LISCIE O RIGATE).
Giovannis – Manchester City CentreFabulous experience !! Lovely ambiance ... Brilliant service ......exceptional food .......good value for money and breath taking location .....Loved it!!!!
Rams Head Inn – Saddleworthhi i dined in akbars three weeks ago as i am regular visitor there an have been 4 ages even before Manchester opened an have been to most of their branches but was disgraced when i went to what i saw. As i am a muslim i pride on going to a halal establishment. an i was totally shocked to what i saw in there i saw pork steak being served on the table behind me. which is pink meat an can't be halal in any way in our religion so i will definitely not be dining in any akbars now cause i could not eat in a place that has meat cooked there so all you muslim people i urge you to go places that serve halal meat not akbars it is a disgrace to them to let that happen
Akbars – Manchester City CentreThe R&C has a varied menu and caters for all tastes. We are regulars and have been for two years. Very friendly owners involved on a day to day basis with friendly staff. Last night's hotpot and beef lasagna were wonderfully tasty but if you are into steaks or Turkish specialities the standard is excellent.
