Great food, nice atmosphere. Best of all - the waitress! Lovely smile, helpful and attentive. It makes such a different going to a restaurant and made to feel looked after.

Bistro West 156 – Didsbury'' I went with friends to celebrate my birthday to Jem and I 4th Jan 2011, the food was delicious every body enjoyed the food, the staff were friendly and efficient excellent service, we will be going back it's in our hot book. '' Evon
Jem and I Bar and Grill – DidsburyEverything I wanted - and more. The food was fabulous - the risotto with fillet steak was mouthwateringly succulent and full of subtle flavours. The pizza bread with garlic and rosemary - simple but delicious. Whitebait was perfect - so many places serve it over fried and greasy - this was exquisite. Portions are generous! The staff are delightfully friendly and attentive without being overbearing. They checked if we needed a break between each course. Whilst the restaurant was rapidly filling as we ate, we never felt rushed. We were treated like guests in someones home. Children in the restaurant were treated equally well. I was impressed how the staff engaged them as well as the adults. The evening set menu was also great value for money. One of us had the set menu whilst the other went off the a la carte. Both of us felt we had had value for money in terms of superb food, friendly atmosphere and superb service. What more could you ask from a restaurant? Go try it. Don't wait for a special occasion. A visit to this restaurant will turn an ordinary weekday evening into a special occasion.
Farina – AltrinchamMost recent visit last night. Great venue, sitting in the front of the restaurant beats any other seat in Chorlton. Always a nice atmosphere and busy, good selection of beers (inc guest ales) and wines. Quality of ingredients used seems to set this apart from any other pizza eatery I know in and around 'town'. One gripe on this visit was I felt my base wasn't quite crisp enough but to be fair it's normally spot on. Keep it up
Croma – Chorltonabsolutely love viva espania, excellent and friendly service, warm atmosphere, for someone who would describe myself as a fussy eater there was plenty to choose from, with it being tapas i tried things i wouldn't normally go for and enjoyed it all.highly recommended!
Viva Espana – HorwichWe called into the Chinese Delight on an off chance 5 years ago on the same night as Ben and Angela took over this restaurant. This was the best off chance we had ever taken, I have traveled the Far East extensively throughout the 80s and 90s and eat in many of the worlds top Chinese restaurants like Hutong and Ye Shanghai in HK to Din Tai Fung in Taipei. What we can say is the good at the Chinese Delight is even better than these, and the hosts can never do enough for you. Don't let the location or building kid you, thus restaurant should be at the heart of chain town.
Chinese Delight Restaurant – BoltonCachumba's menu is 'world' rather cuisine from one fixed country, but the underlying element in all dishes is deliciously spicy, whether it be Sri Lankan, Malaysian, Indian, or Moroccan. The food is simple and exquisitely tasty, and moreover a treat for vegetarians; a selection of three dishes, khoubz bread (a flat bread much like roti, but drier like pitta) is enough to satisfy and silence two people with only 'mmm' and the sound of licked fingers passing between you. The Ugandan Mtoki (fried green banana, as a savoury dish, in a spicy sauce) is a delicate treat. We also sampled a beautiful Coconut lentil curry dish, and a darkly rich aduki bean curry. Those of you who prefer meat and fish can select from prawn, chicken and lamb dishes that my carnivore pals have always found finger licking good. All desserts are home made and include a selection again of world items (kulfi, halva) and also include stodgy Brit faves with an Asian twist (Mango and Berry Crumble), or just total Brit-ness (Sticky Toffee Pudding and custard). The environment is unpretentious, cosily lit, but one criticism - it is always FREEZING COLD. Which is why we prefer the take-away service.
Cachumba – DidsburyWent here around 7 o'clock this New Year's Eve before going out drinking. The food was great, very authentic Thai cuisine - the starters (duck spring rolls and vegetable and chicken tempura) were delicious. The main (we both had noodle-based dishes) were great too but I find Asian starters are always better. The bill was average (about 60 pounds incl. drink) and the service was quick, sometimes lacking in attention but there wasn't enough staff to cater for everyone in the restaurant as it was NYE. Overall, a lovely meal, would definitely go again.
Koh Samui Thai Restaurant – Manchester City CentreSwadesh really does set the standard for others to follow. Brilliant food that tastes home cooked and where all ingredients appear fresh. Great value two course early evening deal. Dhal and biryani are best I've had for years!
Swadesh – Manchester City Centrei would like to thank all for supporting us see u soon at caspian.
Caspian – RusholmeA great place to eat, especially for vegan/vegetarians! I have a youngster too, who found the quirky decor stimulating, could choose nutritious food as well as a treat or two off the extensive menu! The shop also is great for children, and the child in the adult!
Oklahoma Cafe + Gift Shop – Northern Quarterthis place is great, very spacious if you have a wheelchair or pram, the hot and sour soup is a must. Don't be put of by the expensive decor, this place is great value for money
Shanghai Palace Restaurant – WiganWe have eaten at Farina on many occasions (last time the night before New Years Eve 2010) and have always found the staff very friendly, knowledgeable and the menu choice (including extra wall-board items) varied and excellent. Prices are acceptable for a quality restaurant and the house wine most acceptable by glass or bottle. I recommend this restaurant.
Farina – AltrinchamI LOVE BILASH BALTI HOUSE IN SWINTON!!!!! It is the best Indian by far in Manchester and believe me I have tried a fair few. Indian food is my absolute favourite so consider myself quite fussy. Bilash is THE BEST. I could eat any dish, the staff are kind and funny, always welcoming and giving excellent deals on take away. Food is excellent...did I mention that? I am going for my engagement party this weekend! Love it!
Bilash Balti House – SwintonI would highly recommend the Simla Inn Tandoori Restaurant in Royton. I have tried and tested that many different places and this is definitely the best one so far, the staff are really friendly, great atmosphere/ambience and fantastic food, with a huge variety to choose from on the menu. I can't wait to go back as they have the best onion bhajis ever mmm.
Simla Inn Tandoori Restaurant – RoytonI had a meal at the Double Tree couple of days after the official opening, I must say I was very pleased with the food and service 10/10 The interior was very colourful, and the restaurant had a nice warm atmosphere. I would recommend the Double Tree Restaurant to anybody who likes good traditional Indian food.
Double Tree Indian Restaurant – AltrinchamThe food is acceptable. however, it's VERY expensive. I found no motivation to go there the second time since there are many better Thai restaurants in town. Chaophraya Thai restaurant is much better. The food and service there are great and it's also ranked the 5th best restaurant in the Manchester. Also, Phetpailin and Try Thai in China Town are also a lot better with affordable prices. Furthermore, the manager of Koh Samui is very rude and mannerless (the dark and bald guy) , i went to tell him that it was very cold at my table. He ignored me and pretended that he didn't hear me.
Koh Samui Thai Restaurant – Manchester City CentreMy sister and her husband invited us to Double Tree as a Christmas treat.... and treat it was! This is a swish stylish neighbourhood restaurant with modern decor comfortable chairs and Villeroy & Boch tableware. Traditional dishes sit along side the contemporary ,all vibrantly flavoured and attractively presented by charming, friendly and skilled staff. Watch out Dilli !!!! This newcomer is dedicated to offering value for money. we loved it and will be back with more friends.Try the Bengal Haandi and Granny style lamb madras yum!
