New Emperor – Manchester City CentreI went to Tokyo Season for a late lunch on Sunday with my girlfriend. We have ordered a sashimi platter and a few forty percent off sushi. All food is fresh and in good presentation but very poor service. We asked for hot water to top up our green tea cups. The waitress seems don't know what we saying. She brought us tap water with ice. So we explained again, she rolled her eyes, raising her voice "Hot water is not free." With a fed up attitude. I wont go again for a poor service like this. As a customer we all want good service, nice food and value for money.
Tokyo Season – Manchester City CentreBeen in there the last 3 Sunday's and it is great! the kids love it and the staff are really helpful! we had the turkey Sunday dinner 2 for £10 today and it was great, just what we needed in this area a great family pub at last!!
The Moorfield – Saleamazing vegan night ...what a treat.do you do bed and breakfast too?
The Coven – WiganI went to momentum with my wife and daughter, The choice available in my opinion was limited however the food was OK, the vegetables were slightly over cooked. However I was very disappointed with the dessert. ordered, the ice scream accompanied with the dish contained plastic, a replacement ice cream was provided, this again contained plastic. A young lad apologized and was very sympathetic about the whole situation, This showed the excellent level of staff and allowed my evening to be very good one which my wife and daughter greatly appreciated. I will book again soon !!
Momentum Restaurant & Lounge – WesthoughtonMe and my mate Lynda are going there tonight, absolutely love the place. It's a fantastic atmosphere, food amazing and the staff are lovely. We go there regularly. It is the best in the area. Thanks. Cheryl x
Red Lounge – Audenshawhad a great meal there the other night. Had a great steak with chunky chips, it was spot on and also had the amazing cheesecake - left feeling proper stuffed. Overall great food and service, nice atmosphere, nice venue. I'll be back for the Moroccan skewers they smelled delicious.
Pointing Dog – CheadleSimply brilliant and that is just the menu. Everything about this quaint little pub is fantastic from the friendly husband & wife team who own it to the spacious and very cosy bedrooms. Well worth visiting if you like beautiful scenery as a background to an enjoyable walk or ramble. And Holmfirth, where the BBC series, Last of the Summer Wine was made, is within easy reach.
Waggon Inn – SaddleworthThe best in Urmston the Entertainment was fantastic Jerome Macmurray performed staff are Friendly and the food is always consistent compared to other I have been to thanks
Blue Raj – Urmstonmoorfeild is a great pub, and is now my LOCAL!
The Moorfield – SaleDid we just catch them on a bad night? My wife and I have visited RED on several occasions with varying sized groups and always found the food to be excellent so knowing that former RED staff had opened Momentum we thought it had to be worth a try.It ended up as a bit of a disaster. On arrival there was no one to greet us and when the barman eventually acknowledged us we were pointed to the bar area to wait. Everything then seemed to be running in slow motion. The drinks took an age to be brought over to us. We ordered and some time later we were shown to our table. it was 20 minutes more before our starters arrived so why were we sat at the table when the food clearly wasn't ready? Another minor point but the napkins clearly hadn't seen an iron but that seemed to be just our table. The salmon and cucumber starter that I had was, in my view, one of the blandest dishes I've ever had. I did mention this to our waitress ( there was only one for the whole place) and wasn't charged but no one asked what I found wrong. My wife had scallops and squid which she found tast but I don't like to see scallops sliced into thin slices. Perhaps indicates a cost saving effort? The mains then arrived and the wine I ordered to go with it arrived some time after we had started the mains. I had the rabbit cassoulet which was ok but nothing to write home about. The sauce tasted over-reduced and bitter. My wife had the liver which was a generous serving only matched by the caramelised cauliflower that filled most of the plate but was so 'sloppy' it was difficult to eat. The lime didn't fit either. The after dinner coffee was excellent - I believe it is supplied by Exchange Coffee and they are very good. The meal was a special occasion and I really can't remember a dining experience that has disappointed me so much - and I so wanted it to be otherwise.Sorry but I'm not coming back
Momentum Restaurant & Lounge – WesthoughtonHeard lots of good things about this restaurant... will be booking a table for the weekend...
Tokyo Season – Manchester City CentreOne of my favourite bars in the whole of Manchester, perfect place for a beer or tasty grub. Couldn't love it more !!!
The Parlour – ChorltonI've visited 3 times now with the most recent being this week and I would recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly. The staff are very welcoming and attentive; the chef in particular is a delight (he gave a party of 10 women a glass of baileys each as one of had a birthday, which was a lovely touch) and for the most part the food is very good with very fresh ingredients being used (for example the dips that come with the poppadoms are superior to that served in most Indian restaurants I have visited) and very reasonably priced. I don't usually eat lamb or beef at Indian restaurants, as it is often tough but here the meat falls apart at the touch and is delicious. The mild sauces can be a bit too mild for my liking and lack some flavour as a result but all the other sauces I have tried have been very flavoursome and tasty. Only the duck disappointed, on one occasion, as it was rather fatty. Overall I would say this is one of the best Indian Restaurants in Sale and I would strongly recommend it.
Zumar – SaleAfter finding the restaurant on Sugarvine 5 of us went for lunch last Monday. What a wonderful time we had. we don't usually eat oriental food for lunch but we will definitely be going back. We all had the set lunch which was very reasonable. lovely place, great food and good time was had.
