Ciao Napoli – BoltonUtterly brilliant! With so many restaurants in West Didsbury it might be difficult to decide where to go but The Bistro never lets you down. Wonderful food, service and great value for money. I visit with friends, family, work colleagues and work clients and always enjoy the evening. The menu is terrific and the specials always offer even more variety. Whenever you visit you are always made to feel welcome by all staff, including the chef! Thank you once again for such an enjoyable night!
Bistro West 156 – DidsburyOMG this is wine geek heaven! Downstairs there is cellar after cellar and case after case of fantastic Bordeaux, Burgundy, Grange etc. You could spend literally hours (and thousands!) in here and I almost did both. This place more than gives Byrnes in Clitheroe a run for its money. The thing is though, unless you are in the know you would never think to go downstairs into the cellars – they should definitely promote this more in the store.
T. Wright – HorwichWent last night to Isinglass after what must be a 6 year gap and was very impressed with the new outfit. We'd only gone twice after it first opened because we were so underwhelmed by what had been on offer on both those occasions. Despite being new the place was drab and uninspiring and there seemed to be a bit of an obsession with kale on the menu - not a veg that's ever really done it for me! This was hugely disappointing because in a sea of curry houses, this had promised to be the bright culinary star that Urmston has lacked for years. It's now been taken over by a brother (Anthony) and sister team and Wow - what a difference! The place is brighter and both the food and service were very good. They've got some new wines coming in including an Amarone, and are going to start serving Prosecco by the glass which is for me a gauge of any halfway decent restaurant. I won't go back to anywhere that doesn't so Isinglass can look forward to lots more visits from me on this alone, however, it deserves visiting for far more than this. If like me you've give given it a wide berth over the last 5 years because of it's previous lacklustre facade, interior and food, check it out soon - I'm sure you won't be disappointed now!
Isinglass – UrmstonI had one heck of a great meal at this fantastic restaurant the other week. The sushi/sashimi platter was excellent, and the Beef Teriyaki was supreme. I shall definitely be visiting again, and hope to do so regularly.
Tokyo Season – Manchester City CentreWhat a little gem this is. The Veggie and Vegan selection is fantastic and created by people who know how to be creative with the ingredients. It's worth a trip to Wigan simply to pop in.
The Coven – WiganI went to San Carlo on Thursday for a late lunch with a friend. I have been very satisfied by the quality of the food. I had lobster which was fresh and prepared to perfection. First, I was a bit unconfident to order seafood because of a bad experience in another well known restaurant few months ago but I saw the waiter bring a lobster to the table next to us and it seemed really nice. Indeed, it was delicious! Finally, I have found a restaurant that can offer good value for money and a good service.
San Carlo – Manchester City CentreThis place is a hidden gem. I have dined here a few times, and each time the food has been spot on. My girlfriends and I had Sunday lunch today. All ingredients were fresh, home cooked and delicious. A cut above many places where we have dined, and definitely the best in the local area. The service was great and with the air con now in place we had a superb time. Will be back again soon.
Stables Restaurant – HydeHi Luvs, taking the lads to Taybarns with it being all you can eat they fill their self up for the day
Wigan Taybarns – WiganGreat food relaxing ambience friendly staff. I am regular now
Juan Sanchez Bar de Tapas – Chorltonthey have new chef and the food is not the same
The Harrows – RochdaleGiorgios is simply super! I went for a meal out with my nan and we we're so impressed! The waiter 'Guiseppe' was so on the ball and his wit was magical. Such a lovely man, nice manners, tall and true Italian 'dark'. His eyes were full of the passion of the med and his skin a lovely sun ripened olive. I loved his deep gravelly accent. it made the food taste good. mike
Giorgios – Manchester City CentreVery disappointing on our last visit we have eaten here before and enjoyed it however on our last visit the service was appalling. the waiter had virtually no knowledge of the menu and kept having to leave to ask questions in the kitchen. When the meal did come the veg was different from what was ordered and sauces were no served at all. the food was mediocre all in all I would NOT recommend
Rigbye Arms Country Inn and Bistro – WiganWe have been going to Mint Bar for our Full English Breakfasts on Saturdays for some time now as we were guaranteed great quality ingredients, a real treat. Unfortunately not so on our last couple of visits, along with the name change there appears to have been a change of stockist also. Poor quality and extremely salty bacon, cheap sausage and black pudding means we wont be returning, such a shame that it appears that profits based on low quality ingredients have replaced what was a brilliant brekkie!
Mint Bar & Grill – ChorltonHi john. cant find your web site to put comments on about the wedding meal you did for arron &gemms wedding on the 25 june. the service was excellent and very professional carried out every one as commented on how much they enjoyed the meal and service that you provided many thanks mick& chris would recommend you to anyone excellent service

Orange Grove – FallowfieldI pass this restaurant daily. Never thought it would be any good. What a narna I am. Tried it on Saturday with friends. It's fantastic. The Rice Bowl In Manchester Doesn't come anywhere near it. Parking isn't any problem. I know where I will eat Chinese again.
