Absolutely brilliant!!! As an Indian I'm really fussy about "Indian" restaurants, but this place is one of my all time favourites. Food is authentic Nepalese, great tasting and great value. The staff are really friendly, service quick and always with a smile. I travel 30 miles to get here because I think it's worth it.

Bellavista – RochdaleReview of Akbar's restaurant, Manchester. I visited at the end of December 2009. Although the service was good, and the starters were fairly decent, the main meal was a complete let down. I ordered chicken dish. They used a mixed bag of chicken meat. The menu clearly described the dish as being made from chicken breast meat. That was clearly not the case. They had used other parts of the chicken e.g. leg etc. Also the Naan was a bit stale. Overall, just a bit too much on the greasy side.
Akbars – Manchester City CentreOn the 25th of December 09 me and my friend went to lotus. I was amazed they served banna leaves meals. I had lovely tasty banna leaf meal. We had alot of varieties, different types authentic malaysian and south indians dishes. The meal was served in a banana leaf with varities of vegetables, poppadom. My selection of dish was prawn cooked in red malaysian sauce with crab curry
Lotus Restaurant – NorthendenOur first visit to this Malaysian and south Indian cuisine. The choice was excellent both as far as the Malaysian and South Indian food was concerned. The starter satay, honey chiken wings, chicken 65 and the fish fry was superb. the main course nasi pataya, nasi goreng kampong and the fish briyani was something not to be missed. An elderly man at the restaurant took so much of effort explaining the menu to us as first timer and we immediately knew what to order. The service and the taste of the food, I would say is first class. I would personally recommend this restaurant to any one.

Chorlton EateryWe had banana leaf lunch Southern Indian/Malaysian style on Christmas Day and I must admit that the variety and quality of the food served definitely did satisfy my cravings. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys or want to try authentic Malaysian and Southern Indian specialities.

Dalat – NorthendenI have been going to Jai Kathmandu for the best part of 9 years, I have taken all my mates there, and have had a number of family functions there. The food is brilliant, i am vegetarian and the choice provided for vegetarians is brilliant, the Paneer Shaslik , Aloo Tikka pieces, mutter Paneer and dips are all fantastic, the sauces compliment the food very well, especially the mint sauce. If you are thinking of taking friends or family to this restaurant, dont think twice, Fantastic, service, family run, and excellent quality of food.
Jai Kathmandu – NorthendenThis restaurant is a little bit special. It is part of a small family owned chain. I took my wife and Dad here on Mon 21st of Dec 09. I already know about Bruno Cabrellis Ice cream which is probably the best you can get, which is made by them. The atmosphere in there is fantastic for a Monday night. While we were there Liz Dawn from Coronation street came in, A famous local artist came in with Family and Bruno himself added to the evening, being his cheerful and friendly self. The food was fabulous, we had a range of foods from fish to pizza, but the sweets are something else especially the ice cream. They make it themselves!!!!!

My favourite Kebab shop/Restaurant in Manchester. Everything is freshly prepared daily, the chickens are boned whole and rolled for the kebabs. Even the doner is prepared in house by top quality Lamb. They even mince their own neck fillets for the kofta. If you haven't been... you need to.
