Dalat – NorthendenMy friends & i discovered this restaurant a couple of years ago now, & absolutely love it!! From the lovely, fresh cooked food, the wait staff & the owner who constantly wanders round chatting to the guests, checking on the food & generally making people smile. Its a nice cosy atmosphere & a great place for either dates or group catch up nights. Everything is reasonably priced & there is a good variety of foods & wines to choose from. I am currently in the process of arranging a night out with old friends & this will be our first port of call & I'm really looking forward to it, cant say enough good things about this place!!
Saporito – PrestwichThe best Indian food ever I had, do not forget to order Lamb Kadai and Fish Tikka..It attracts me every day..
Jai Kathmandu – NorthendenAt first I was impressed with Planet Spice. They were honest about delivery times (1hr!) and on first impression, the food was good. Unfortunately, there happened to be hair in the food. We binned all remaining food except the contaminated dish and complained to the management. At first we were pleased with the professionalism of the management who were happy to issue a refund upon us returning the food. The manager called again shortly after to inform us they would not issue a refund, but offered a replacement (why on Earth would we eat again from their kitchen?!). They assured us that on the outcome of relevant tests, they would issue a refund on only the contaminated dish. We refused and will be taking this up with the relevant department at the Council. What a waste of £15. Don't order!
Planet Spice – SaleI would recommend SUl Lago to all lovers of Italian food. Good service and good food also just booked for new year eve excellent evening with dance and fireworks ciao
Sul Lago – OldhamHaving enjoyed many an evening at La Roma when it was located at Chapeltown Road Edgworth I was delighted to find out that they were still in business. Nothing had changed apart from the location, the service was spot on as was the food. The menu had all the Italian dishes which you would expect plus some more unusual ones, a hidden gem that is well worth a visit.
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonWithout doubt one of thee best restaurants I've eaten in Manchester up there with my other fave The Market. Took a trip there last Friday with my better half and opted for the early bird set menu which turned out to be an absolute bargain, from the delish soup, perfect rissoto and sublime dessert. Coupled with great decor and atmosphere, reasonably priced wine menu, miss this place at your peril!!!!
Damson – StockportTook my other half and mum here for a birthday treat, very average tapas and small portions (for tapas dishes),expensive and as previous recommendations same sauces seem to re-appear,disappointed to be honest. Not a patch on El Rincon!
Evuna Deansgate – Manchester City CentreAte here 2 weeks ago will be the 1st and last time. Love Greek food but this place seems to have lost any sense of Greek identity with some weird dishe's !
Bouzouki By Night – Manchester City CentreHad a great time and more important great food!!!!!!! traditional Persian restaurant in Manchester would go back again.
Shiraz Restaurant – NorthendenWe dined there last week and had sushi, which, not being an aficionado of Japanese food, decided that it was OK,just that. Very friendly prompt service by the young lady in traditional dress. I do not like though being asked whether i want to add a tip when I am paying by card, which I was. Also I thought the entrance stairs could be a little more appealing. Other that that we will give it another try.
Tokyo Season – Manchester City CentreIf you are looking for the best way to spend a Friday night anywhere in the Saddleworth area, my wife and I highly recommend the Bulls Head, Delph. The Tapas is superb, the sangria will blow your socks off and the friendly environment is second to none. We go twice a month for a friday night blow out. Well recommended!
Bulls Head Inn – SaddleworthThis was a culinary delight! My boyfriend and I called in for a quick lunch, and were so pleased we went back for dinner the following evening. As regular travellers to Italy we were highly impressed by the quality of food and service on offer. I cannot recommend this restaurant more highly! Stafano and his team made every effort to ensure we enjoyed our evening, despite not having a prior booking on a very busy evening! The wine menu has a lovely range, whether you want to splash out or just have the house (white & red are both great!) but mostly we recommend the Diano d'Alba, which needs a little time to breathe but is amazing on the palate! Try to save room for a starter, main and dessert, and you will not be disappointed!!!
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonLovely place to eat out. Excellent food, friendly, welcoming staff and a comfortable ,relaxing environment. The Morrocan Lamb is delicious and they do a great Sunday roast too, though your probably best booking at weekend as it gets very busy.
King William – BoltonSimply the best Japanese food in Manchester. The sushi and sashimi is super fresh and the beef sashimi is truly amazing. You MUST give this place a go.
Tokyo Season – Manchester City CentreMyself, two other adults and my son visited Efes on 14/09/2009 for the buffet. You pay according to the time slot you visit. There is so much variety to choose from such as salad, bread, pizza, lasagna, spaghetti, different choice of rice dishes, onion rings, various meaty dishes, cold salads (e.g. potato salad, pasta salad). To finish there are profiteroles, plus two other cakes or for the more health conscious grapes and melon. As it is buffet style you eat as much as you like. Four very hungry people tucked in and found all our tastes "satisfied" and as a vegetarian I didn't feel left out. The restaurant has a relaxing feel (we visited at around 5pm) due to the subtle background music. We left with full tummies and it only came to £28 for all four - Bargain!
Efes Restaurant & Taverna – Manchester City CentreVisit 3 times in aug/sept very good & very varied food served promptly by smiling &cheerful staff, food is very nice.i will come again.
Cherry Tree – HaleWent there on a Saturday night which was very busy, did not have to wait as we were immediately attended and seated in our table. Excellent service, competant waiters who were friendly and able to explain the dishes to us. The Tandoori haddock and the Lamb Nihari is a must have. The nihari is one of the best curries I have ever had. Would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a great meal out.
