Cafe Lahore – OldhamExcellent! Local family Chinese takeaway with very nice food and large portions. You've got to try the fried crispy shredded chicken ( a bit spicy) and the singapore noodles!! Gorgeous!! Always served with a smile! Definitely recommend!!
Golden City – BuryWent to Nutters Restaurant, with my wife and friends. It is my wife's 40th Birthday on the 28th November so I emailed the restaurant. Andrew Nutter was kind enough to present an amazing dessert and came to have a chat with us for about 10 minutes, it was excellent. I have been a number of times, and the food is truly amazing. I have eaten at many top restaurants, Nutters is still my favourite.
Nutters Restaurant – RochdaleI Have been going to Smiths for about 10 years and would like to praise them for their consistency of excellent food and service. I have taken friends and family for special occasions and everyone comments on having such a good time- with the food, service and atmosphere. I heartily recommend Smiths and will be going back very soon.
Smiths Restaurant – EcclesRubbish, overcooked food, bland, horrible staff
Tapios Restaurant – MiddletonWe had our 20th anniversary do here. They close Mondays but opened specifically for our celebration. I love the Napoli region of Italy and the food is as good as being there. The staff are very attentive & the chef will fit in with any dietary requirements. Renato meets & greets each person as if they were old friends. I love chatting to him. The four pictures don't show the recently renovated upper floor, ideal for private parties. I recommend the spaghetti vongole(clams). My partner enjoys the pizza (they have their own pizza oven, not all restaurants do). I just wish it was walkable from Mossley as their wine selection is also excellent.
La Lupa – StalybridgeI went for the first time with my partner a couple of weeks ago. Excellent food, equally excellent service and reasonably priced. I chose something from the menu that appealed to my schoolboy sense of humour, I won't spoil it for the immature among you, find out for yourself. Enjoy a great evening
Phothong Thai Restaurant – Ashton Under LyneThis is English cooking (the phrase is "plain English cooking" but plain is not a word which can be applied here) at its very very best. Congratulations to a superb cook.
The Black Ladd – Oldhamvery pleasant better class wine bar /eatery. Excellent friendly service, very relaxed intimate atmosphere. My Caesar salad although very acceptable could do with more ingredients such as olives/tomatoes/cucumber/egg to measure up to those served elsewhere in Prestwich/Whitefield. As long as it attracts the right clientele this could be a very popular all year round place. Prices compare to those in similar establishments north of the city.
The White Room – WhitefieldWent to look for Sardar restaurant but found out its been moved to The Palatine Bar & Restaurant and it has to be the worst meal ive ever eaten.I spent £28 on a takeaway and would of been better off eating beans on toast. The chicken madras as soon as i opened it looked liked it had been heated out of a tin. There was no taste at all and just lumps of chicken in a tomato sauce. The nan bread was dry and burnt and the onion bhajis dry and tasteless. Overall a very very bad meal and im more disappointed because ive been to Spice on the same road twice and the foods amazing
The Palatine Bar and Restaurant – NorthendenOur favourite pub/restaurant for several years. Love the old favourites: especially cod and chips and liver and bacon. Great range of other dishes and sweets. Nice choice of wines and beers. Friendly and efficient service. As usual a nice antidote to a rainy, grey day was a trip to the Rigbye Arms today. Pheasant and wild boar pie and chips...... nice....Tetley's cask .......nice......
Rigbye Arms Country Inn and Bistro – WiganWent to Crazy Wendys last night for a birthday doo. It was our first visit. The whole karaoke/singing/ dancing atmosphere was great, but the food was terrible and very expensive for what we got. You could hardly move as it was packed to the square inch with people. We were sat near the door, which was extremely unfortunate in November as it was FREEZING with everybody coming in and out and going for cigerettes.... won't be going back to Wendys....
Crazy Wendys – Didsburyit is not a good place to eat, the food is greasy, the place is unclean and looks old and desolate. it clearly hasn't been taken care of. The service is also slow compared to other chip shops i have been to. i would rate it 0/5
Ali’s Chippy – RochdaleVery nice food would recommend
Full Monty – Ashton Under LyneWonderful food. Very varied and reasonably priced menu. Attentive service in pretty surroundings.
The Spice Lounge – WiganVery disappointing, poor service, terrible food.
Red Chilli – Manchester City CentreI ate in here with my girlfriend and some friends couple of weeks ago, food was very good and reasonably priced. Selected from the set menu, good choice for under a tenner!! Not sure i'd go back after seeing the toilets though!!
Bluu – Northern QuarterExcellent food, delicious, and good service, dishes always containing incredibly fresh and top quality produce. Only thing waiting time feel bit more, but well worth a visit. Is one of the most memorable restaurants in Manchester.
