La Roma Restaurant – BoltonGreat food, very nice decor, and a great service. Taz and his colleagues are always recommending good dishes to taste. We have recommended this restaurant to all our family/friends. Try it!!
Red Lounge – AudenshawI really wanted to try Zouk had heard so many great things and read so many fantastic reviews. So me and my friends booked a table and what a great night we had! from the handis to the biryani everything was perfect, we received excellent service from the friendly staff. we had heard so much about the deserts i tried the mango cheesecake and the profiteroles, seriously they were just too good. Zouk definitely deserves all the great reviews its getting and i'd give them 10/10 without a doubt!!! way better than Akbars and eastzeast!!
Zouk Tea Bar – Manchester City CentreWe were disappointed with our food at this restaurant. I was expecting much better. The soup starter was very good indeed and served piping hot but the mains were below par. I had a rib eye steak which was a bit tough and tasted pan burnt. The jus that was with it tasted the same. My friends mixed grill was average aswell. How can you get chips wrong? They too tasted burnt, not overdone, but the oil must have been old. I noticed other diners' chips were the same. The brandy coffee was cold and I actually took it back into the kitchen. My veggie friend though said her food was very good. The pudding choice was not great so we skipped it.
Isinglass – Urmstonjust had a meal on mother day and the food was like very high quality and had a reasonable price. and after the meal they give us a free Amaranth, and i ask one of there waiter they said they give it free every sunday. i very happy and i will come back again. what about you? try once your life, you will enjoy it! buraq in Ashton-in-Makerfield it is the best Indian restaurant to eat.
Buraq – WiganWent on a Sunday afternoon and had a great meal, everything well cooked, presented and good value - £9.95 for 2 courses. Staff were very attentive and made us feel welcome. Would definitely go back. Excellent.
Topkapi Palace – Manchester City Centrelove it here- such a great crowd and on a weekend and love the Thursday live music. Had a few really good nights in here! Food great, simple, lancashire tapas- very yummy.
First Chop – RamsbottomWent to Desi Lounge on Valentine's day, had a really nice evening. It's one of the best restaurants I have been to for ambiance, the service was good and most of all the food was fantastic! Definitely recommended!
Desi Lounge – FailsworthWe went to Sanminis on Saturday night after having a taster at the Civic Hall in Rams bottom. It is the best Indian food I have ever tasted. The flavours and presentation of the food were incredible. The service was excellent. The menu was explained to us in detail by the owners. The food was cooked to order. I cannot wait to go back. The only problem now is I will be so disappointed with other Indian meals that it will have to be Sanminis all the time but then I want to taste all the menu.
Sanmini’s – RamsbottomI sent this email recently, I feel it speaks for itself - Dear Sir or Madam, I recently attended a hen night that had been booked in your restaurant and was very disappointed by the service we received. Firstly the booking was split across 2 tables and we were told this was policy but we had not been told this on booking. When we queried this we were told we could be on the same table when the people at the next table left. We were also told there was no point as the people put on the table would be as far away as if they were on the separate table. We insisted and we were put together. The orders were taken and the starters were then brought and some were incorrect. The waiter then tried to bully members of the group into eating the wrong order by saying “you ordered this” and “you will eat this”. Some people did cave in to the bullying. Some members of the group wanted to pay for their wine separately and had to ask 4 times for the bill to be brought. This was obviously such a problem because if the wine was not on the bill the service charge would be lower. The mains were brought and they were correct but the sides were not or were brought after the food had been half eaten. The service was so poor that we did not even stay for desserts or coffees. To then put a service charge of 10% (£36.20) on the bill is disgusting. Obviously, the renowned restaurant we had understood we were booking is only if you are famous, or in a party of less than 4. I had been hoping that the experience would have been enjoyable as I will be booking a hen night for next year and this restaurant was mentioned in the planning. I certainly shall not be doing now as the hen was disappointed and upset and still upset the next morning. Kind regards, Lucy McDonald.
San Carlo – Manchester City Centrerecently visited and cannot fault in the slightest very welcoming family environment, excellent quality and value for money have booked again twice in the near future
The Black Ladd – Oldhamthe food here is divine its a real good price and it s a quick delivery well to the local area.the pizza s are superb and their open till late... enjoy xx
Continental – DidsburyAbsolutely dreadful!!!!!!! Don't bother.
Nam Ploy – BoltonSeveral years ago, while doing work with Photronics at the GEC Plessey plant, I stayed at the Whitegate Inn and, as an American from Texas who found driving on the "wrong" (well....it was for me, at least!) side of the road awkward, I walked to work rather than renting a car. This resulted in my being stuck at the Inn many evenings, and I found myself tiring quickly of pub sandwiches. As such, I walked to find restaurants, thus stumbling on Dilshad Tandoori. I had never before cared much for Indian Restaurants, and timidly entered the first time. The attentive staff steered me towards chicken tikka masala - now one of my favorite meals....anywhere! Over the several months I stayed in Oldham, I regularly visited this WONDERFUL restaurant, trying several of the delectable selections from the menu. I have now eaten northern Indian food in several countries throughout the world and here in Houston, where I live. NONE have even come close to the great service and wonderful food at Dilshad Tandoori. To the fine folks at Dilshad Tandoori - if you happen upon this review, a great big "HOWDY" from Rob, the Texan who used to be able to walk into your restaurant and ask for "the usual" ......and you knew exactly what I wanted. How I wish you weren't on the other side of the pond! GREAT FOOD - GREAT PEOPLE - you cannot go wrong by going to Dilshad Tandoori!
Dilshad Tandoori – MostonThe food was great. I had a great time there. Like most people have already mentioned, the sashimi was very fresh. I think the sushi here are one of the best in Manchester so far. Appetisers such as the chawanmushi and the chicken karaage were delicious. The bento box was awesome, especially the japanese potato salad in it.
Tokyo Season – Manchester City Centrei have eaten here lots of times and it is fantastic value for money and really tasty!!!
Las Iguanas – Trafford CentreNAM PLOY - went to Nam Ploy on the 17th March 2009 after work and the meal was absolutely fantastic. I am going to go again for my birthday.
Nam Ploy – BoltonWe visited the Fishermans Retreat last week for a celebratory family meal and had a wonderful evening. Fabulous tasty food and really good service from all the staff. Can heartily recommend the steak, red wine and mushroom pie - delicious and this is one of the only places I know where you don't get pale frozen chips. These are real (pity about the calories)!
