The Rising Moon – HydeWe visited during the 50% off food opening promotion. Unfortunately we were advised that the happy hour drinks deal could not be used in conjunction with that, but understandable that they have to make some money. On the whole, I'd say the menu prices are a bit too much unless there is some sort of deal. ~£12 cocktails and £9.50 for two tacos feels a bit steep and the bill can rack up quickly. However, with the 50% off it was great value and really delicious food. The service was mixed - our drinks order seemed to get forgotten a couple of times, but one of the team members was absolutely lovely (sadly I didn't get his name).
Boogalu – Northern QuarterI was first introduced to The Rising Moon by a friend in Hyde and on Sunday met up there with another friend from Sheffield. It is in a lovely countryside setting at Matley with interesting walks roundabout. The menu is very varied and reasonably priced. We both opted for the Topside of Beef in a pepper sauce which was really good. Nicely decorated with friendly, welcoming staff - highly reccommended
The Rising Moon – HydeNot the best meal. Had the lamb Sunday roast, the veg was very hard, the meat was fatty and it wasn't presented very well. My partner had topside of beef with pepper sauce. The beef was actually slices of processed beef not worth the money. Was sat on table 6 . Not good. Everybody walked past us and it was really cold in the draft.
The Rising Moon – HydeWe enjoyed a very tasty Sunday roast lunch.....tender roast beef with all the trimmings. Lovely friendly attentive staff....nothing is too much trouble. Well worth a visit.
Panama Hattys Grill – PrestwichWOW - went with family for a Sunday Roast. Fabulous food! Staff were lovely and ambience was good - we will definitely be back - a little gem of a restaurant!! Would highly recommend!
Fat Loaf – SaleVisited so many times and never disappointed. Amazing place with amazing food. Staff are lovely too. We will be back!
Chakalaka – Manchester City CentreTerrible :( me and my friends were so excited to visit after seeing the place advertised on Manchester Finest, but everything about this place was just bad. We had to wait ages to be seated, we then had to wait a further 10 minutes to receive a menu. When we had decided what we wanted to eat, it took another 15 minutes for the waitress to take our order. Took a good 25 minutes to receive our drinks. After this time, the waitress came back and told us the lamb taco was unavailable after we had already ordered it which I didn’t think was very professional. Our food arrived after 50 minutes, it was very small servings, cold and to be honest, quite bland. No cutlery on the table, so we had to ask our waitress for cutlery and napkins. Took a while for our plates to be cleared, when we asked for the bill there was an automatic service charge on which didn’t seem fair as the service was not good. We left feeling dissatisfied and still hungry so swung by Wing Stop on the way home.
Boogalu – Northern QuarterExcellent service, food as always!! Every time we come it is excellent!! Love it, well done guys x
Giorgios – Manchester City CentreFirst class service from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The food was delicious and the cocktails were amazing!
La Sentidos Loca – WiganAuthentic flavourful Indian cuisine within a traditional pub setting. Friendly ambience and staff. A really enjoyable meal and evening.
The Gatehouse Ale & Aloo – WorsleyFood was brilliant. We ordered 2 taco dishes (lamb and beef) and a loaded nachos. All were super tasty, the beef was really good. The lamb tacos were crispy and had a nice dip to go with them. We didn’t order any cocktails but they did look good for those who had ordered them around us. Service was lovely can’t really complain! We went at the time of the 50% off deal. I don’t think we would be willing to pay full price otherwise. The dishes aren’t huge, ~£9.50 for 2 small tacos which is quite overpriced… I’d say the £6.50 mark would be more affordable, but again, worth the price at 50% off! Would probably return and recommend to go for the weekly deals. Great food and good service. Thanks!
Boogalu – Northern QuarterAnother lovely meal here. I have ordered something different each time I have been and yet to be disappointed. I literally cannot decide which is my favourite. Had both pasta and risotto and all have been really good. The staff are always super friendly and there is a lovely happy atmosphere. My new favourite place to eat
