Dalat – NorthendenBrilliant food and sangria!!! We went a few months ago and was really impressed. Not many people in when we went which was probably a good thing, if your thinking of somewhere to go for quick service and nice food I would highly recommend
Los Amigos – Stockportthis is without doubt the best cafe in south manchester. the coffee is first class and the food is fresh and tasty, add to that the fact that the staff are welcoming and you have a great little hideaway in didsbury.....tell all your friends
Thyme Out Delicatessen – DidsburyThis isn't so much a recommendation, rather an honest opinion. Sajna are very hit and miss in my experience. The pizza's have been massively undercooked before and much of the menu is unavailable for order. Beef burgers have never been available each of the times i've attempted to order them! The staff are nice enough though, but once again sadly, the prices aren't anything to write home about. The (obvious) amount of money spent on the waiting area would have been better spent on the ordering of the unavailable ingredients.
Sajna Indian Kitchen – DidsburyThis place is superb. The food is authentic and amazing. The staff are really friendly. It is ridiculously cheap and you get 10% off on top!!
Dalat – NorthendenA picturesque setting outside , a warm cosy ambiance inside add the two main ingredients friendly, welcoming staff and the fabulous tasting food and there you have it the perfect recipe for dining out. Having visited many times since opening, as a couple, with children, large party with children and large party of adults the quality and standard of the food is as good today as it was on that first visit " Excellent " Being a vegetarian, at this restaurant is not a problem. If there is something on the menu that you fancy but it contains meat the chef is only too happy to adapt it for you. Anyway, I haven't got any more time to be sat here, I have to get ready to join a birthday party of 8 and where 's the party at ? Yes, that's right La Roma.
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonFantastic, really, really worth going! A Group of us from work had heard about the new ZOUK and thought we'd give it a try, this Wednesday- when we got there we were told it was a special night 'Comedy night' there was no seats left, but we begged and somehow they sorted it out! Comedian a bit on the poor, but the food and atmosphere made up for it. Where taking the MD for his 40th next Saturday. Warning BOOK Friday, Saturday night! There always fully booked unless you go early evening or after 9.30pm.
Zouk Tea Bar – Manchester City CentreSugo is without doubt a fantastic local restaurant. The service and food are first class. Bee and Phil are always on hand to ensure that everything runs smoothly. We have been on a number of occasions and look forward to our next visit
Due Amici – WorsleyWell, what can I say! I went to San Carlo for a meal with my Fiancee as a birthday treat on Saturday 16th May. We had heard great things and read lots of glowing reviews. We arrived at the restaurant for our table which was booked for 7pm. I very lovely lady told us they were very busy and it would be a little later than 7pm and asked if that was OK, I said yes no problem, it was very busy and the atmosphere was great. We went to the bar to get ourselves a drink and wait for our table. We were then told that the whole of the Man United team were in the restaurant celebrating winning the Premiership that very day. As a United fan I couldn't believe my luck and then realised why it was so busy! The staff were fantastic, regularly updating us on the progress of our table. We were stood by the entrance/exit as it was so busy, then the restaurant manager came over to ask everybody by the reception/exit to make way for the United team as they were now leaving. Just then a 'security' chap came right passed us with the Premiership trophy, which everybody was touching including ourselves. Then all the players one by one came right passed us and we shook hands, gave kisses and hugs to all the Reds, absolute bliss! Shortly after, once the restaurant had got back to normal we were told our table was ready. The service was excellent and the food was second to none. The staff are great and the atmosphere, I guess even when United don't visit was great. Great place and will be going back very soon. A must!
San Carlo – Manchester City CentreI have had quite a few meals at Nutters, but I went recently and recommended it to some friends and colleagues. Somebody said to me, "Are you sure it is still as good as your first visit"? and I had no hesitation in saying I am absolutely confident it will be. After our meal everybody (party of 8) said how they had never had such a good all round experience, food, atmosphere, service etc. I strongly recommend Nutters restaurant.
Nutters Restaurant – RochdaleThis restaurant is in a lovely location, surrounded by trees and overlooking a river. The Italian staff could not do anymore to help you. We had a bottle of Montepulciano, three courses and coffee at £50 for two, bargain!! The menu was brilliant, lots to choose from and when the food arrived it was fresh, really tasty and piping hot. We had Bruschetta and chicken livers to start, both gorgeous. We went for Canelloni and Penne all Arribiata for main, both delicious. For dessert, we had Torte della Nonna and Strawberry and Amaretto gateaux. (very alcoholic!) The service was brilliant and the food was so good we will be going again, you should too!
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonGo to Dalat ! It's fantastic food (Ped Pad Khaprao is my favourite) with warm and friendly service. Its the best restaurant in Northenden by far! Dr L
Dalat – NorthendenWe've been the last couple of Saturdays and must admit, food, service, wine are all excellent. Surprised how little it cost also - will definitely be going again soon!
La Torre – UrmstonI live local to the restaurant and have eaten there several times over the last year. The staff are always pleasant and the beer is always cold (they have Peroni on tap with glasses to match!). The food is excellent value for money. My girlfriend nearly always has the rigatoni gratonati because its delicious. I am more varied and rotate my choice of pizzas which are always excellent. And you get an after eight mint with the bill! In summary a great location for an Italian restaurant which compliments the lovely staff and great food.
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonEating at Glamorous is a really mixed experience; on one hand, the sheer scale of the place is impressive, the menu is fairly extensive and the food is pretty good. On the other hand, it's in a dog-rough location, you get mithered by people trying to sell you things from food trolleys at your table all the time and it's really quite dirty in places. The chairs in the reception / waiting area are absolutely filthy with all kinds of stains, as is the carpet. The food is pretty good without being sensational; it's definitely of a higher quality than those eat-as-much-as-you-want self-service Chinese buffets, but it's - in my opinion - just the same as an average Chinatown restaurant. All in all, a little disappointing.
Glamorous – Northern QuarterWe came as a party of 12 to the Stock Restaurant yesterday to celebrate a birthday. The table was booked for 8.30pm. We sat down at our table at 9pm. Our starters were served at 10.10pm and our main course at 11.15pm. Food: Had the food been hot when it arrived at the table (which it wasn’t, in particular the steaks, duck and chicken), it would certainly have been cold by the time the 2 waitresses served the whole table. This applied to both starters and main meals. My chicken livers were bitter and just off cold, the king prawn taglierini bland and dry. Service: Extremely poor: 4 bottles of wine had been pre ordered for our table for our arrival. No one seemed to know about this and we were repeatedly given the wine list (though not offered ANY drink for the first 45 minutes after our arrival or any indication of the time delays) The door manager had a most unusual style of address in that she appeared not to acknowledge any conversation directed at her. The waits between ordering and food arriving were unacceptably long, despite the restaurant being only half full towards the end of the evening. Generally the staff seemed harassed, without care and disinterested if not downright rude. Starting our main course at 11.15pm at a table booked for 8.30pm was extremely disappointing not least as most of us were unable to eat it. A service charge of £29 was automatically added to the bill. This was a special birthday celebrated with special friends and family and we were determined to enjoy our time together in the beautiful building, but the occasion was not helped in any way by our experience with the food and service at the Stock Restaurant.
Stock Restaurant – Manchester City CentreWent last Sunday evening, really great atmosphere, friendly staff and fantastic food!
Pinchjos – DidsburyWe were upset when Happy Seasons closed having eaten there dozens of times,it being the best Chinese food in the area (and the cheapest !!). However we are pleased to say the new owners food is just as good ( soya chicken better!!!) and more of it. My few months of misery have ended and the fruitless search for Chinese food of equal quality is over. Long live the new Happy Seasons !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
