Simla Inn Tandoori Restaurant – RoytonAbsolutely fabulous food, if it isn? on the menu, Mario will do his best to cook whatever you want!! Prawns and mushrooms in cheese, cream and garlic sauce and oven baked is to die for, but don? forget the garlic bread to soak up the sauce!! Does a mean salmon steak too!!
Mario Cafe Bar – WesthoughtonWent last night for our wedding anniversary. Chef was very accommodating with our dairy free requirements. Made us lovely red pepper soup followed by grilled halibut and plenty of fresh veg and new potatoes wife had excellent steak. Shame there is no early bird menu, as we would go more often. Price £50 incl wine but no sweets or coffee at our request.
Jem and I Bar and Grill – DidsburyBuffet City about seven pm on a Thursday night and there was a queue out the door on to Portland Street. It's a big place though and we only waited a couple of minutes. Once sat down we ate at our leisure and didn't feel rushed despite the crowds around us. There is a two for one deal on the Chinese beer (£2.20 a bottle) and the food was superb! Very attentive polite service; they cleared our plates when empty and we just got new ones to fill up. We had soup, starters and about three helpings of the buffet. There is a massive choice of curries, noodles, rices, meats, cold fish, sushi, crispy duck and pancakes, chips and all the usual Chinese extras. Plus puddings and ice creams! All food looks really fresh and is constantly being renewed. At £5.50 before 6pm and £8.50 after this has to be the best value eating experience in Manchester. Go!
Buffet City – Manchester City CentreVery good standard of food. Decor dated (70's?), not the place to go for a romantic meal, more of a cheap/family place. Good service. Good food.
Happy Seasons Chinese Restaurant – Manchester City CentreWhat Mario? lacks in ambience it certainly makes up in the quality of the food. It really is a shame it is not as popular as it should be.
Mario Cafe Bar – WesthoughtonJust wanted to say it was my first time dining at Isinglass with a very special guy and this meal made the evening even better top marks! Hope to see you all very soon for another great meal and night ;-) well recommended!
Isinglass – UrmstonGood place to take all the family brill value for money overall brill
Buffet City – Manchester City CentreI was recommended the Gaucho Grill by a friend, and I wasn't disappointed - I will also be recommending it. We went on a saturday night, we were the second sitting on the table but by no means a second rate service. The atmosphere was good, a dj with background beats filled this massive building and made you feel like you could almost be somewhere else! The food was delicious, we thankfully skipped the starters and went straight for two steaks and a couple of side dishes - and we struggled to finish. My husband was very impressed. Our waiter was attentive, polite and not over the top. We squeezed in a pudding - one to share! The bill was reasonable considering we'd also had drinks at the bar, and a bottle of the House Cabernet Sauvignon. It was definitely a meal to remember.
Gaucho – Manchester City CentreThere was great food, I had pizza and it was fab. My friend there had p?eacute; and was an amazed by it and had second course of it. The head of the restaurant was very happy and checking everyone food is ok and the staff are always ready to help get food or top up on drink. There is nice, simple music playing in the background. So go to it and be amazing P.S. Booking will be a good idea as at 7.00pm it is busy.

Browns Cafe Bar and Restaurant – BramhallAbsolutely fabulous, service is great and the staff are very friendly especially Paul and Maria. We have lost count of the times we have visited the restaurant and will return again and again. Highly recommended!!!!!
Frankie and Bennys – Salford QuaysI am currently based in Dubai, my parents live in Manchester. I've travelled around the Middle-East but the food here has to be the best I've tasted. Try the Baba Ghannouge and Kibbeh - these guys are masters when it comes to authentic syrian/lebanese cuisine - excellent and highly recommended.
Petra – RusholmeAfter a few bevies in town a friend and I were hungry and fancied a Chinese but outside of china town. I discovered that this little gem of a restaurant was still open being mid-week! After looking at the quite pricey menu I was expecting a small, piddly portion. Much to my surprise a huge bowl of chicken chow mien was placed in front of me and I could barely finish it. It was fresh and very tasty and accompanied the relaxed atmosphere in this authentic Chinese environment. A must for those who like a big portion as a winter warmer. Marvellous!
