Blue Nile – BramhallVisited Tuesday night, expecting great things after reading the rave reviews on this site. Decor - lovely. Staff - welcoming. Smells- lovely too. Food - 'It was alright' described by my son and I tend to agree. Had similar service and authentic Thai food elsewhere in Manchester.
Chaophraya – Manchester City CentreFantastic curry house...forget Rusholme, this is the real deal! Ive been eating here regularly for 15 years, I can? fault it
Al-Faisal Tandoori – Manchester City CentreWe visited Chaophraya on Sunday evening and have to agree with all previous reviewers and say that everything about this restaurant is outstanding. The service is fantastic - we arrived at 4.30 and were told we could either eat in the bar from the bar menu (which is very nice for a bar menu and you can sit and watch them cooking in the open kitchen and there are some lovely booths to sit in) or we could wait till 5.00 and go in the restaurant. We decided to wait so they brought us some complimentary Thai crackers whilst we waited which helped with the hunger pangs! The building itself is beautiful and the restaurant inside is gorgeous - lots of authentic Thai furnishings and pictures. Also the menu shows some very old pictures of Thailand in the 1800's which was fantastic to see if you have been to Thailand - to see whats different and what hasn't changed. The staff are all very friendly and chatted to us about where we had been in Thailand and where they were from etc. As for the food - well I could have closed my eyes and been back in Thailand - it was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious - I could not fault any of it. This restaurant has everything - looks, ambience, service and stunning food. Also, the price is very reasonable - £45 for a two course meal for two with wine. HIGHLY recommended - can't wait to go back.
Chaophraya – Manchester City CentreExcellent food and a very friendly atmosphere. Would go back again and again.
Bistro West 156 – DidsburyAlthough a little pricey, we found the food fantastic as was the service. We got engaged the last visit we made, and will probably return on each anniversary. Couldnt reccomend highly enough, so much better than most of the places in rochdale.
Bellavista – RochdaleWe want to express our thanks to the manger at the restaurant who after there was an altercation near our table, gave us a refund on our drinks ,then this week sent us an invitation to dine there again for free. Which we definitely accepting.
Gaucho – Manchester City CentreThe food is delicious, they do not overload the recipes with to many hot spices, you can really taste the ingredients. If you love Indian food I would definitely recommend you try the Sunar Gaw.
Sunar Gaw – BoltonOur evening here was a complete delight, the food was the best Indian I have ever had - I cant wait to go again!
Royal Balti House – BoltonAttended a wedding here on 20th April. What an excellent place to host a wedding reception. A really lovely time was had by all. food and the service really good.
Stock Restaurant – Manchester City CentreMy family and I eat here on a regular basis (as do a lot of my friends) and I can honestly say it is well worth a visit. The food is excellent and there is plenty of choice. It is all very fresh and the portions are just the right size. They do a cheap deal between 5pm and 7pm on weekdays but the price is very reasonable anyway.
La Torre – UrmstonI have been twice now to this restaurant, once to lunch and once to dinner. On both occasions we had lovely food and excellent service. The cost was very reasonable. On each occasion the place was very quiet and I cannot understand why. The food here is probably the best in the area and they deserve to be a lot busier than they are. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant.
Rozafa Taverna – StockportThe greatest steak I have ever eaten, it just melts in your mouth. And the meat fridge is certainly something to see, I can;t think of any other places you can so readily see where the food comes from and the place it is all put together. The owners are really friendly and you don't feel like you've gone out to a restaurant for dinner, you feel like you've been invited to a family's dinner.
The Fisherman’s Retreat – RamsbottomKeep up the excellent work! Thank you for a lovely lunch time after time!
Little Yang Sing – Manchester City CentreA WONDERFUL PLACE TO EAT. FANTASTIC FOOD AND WONDERFUL STAFF. WE GO HERE EVERY WEEK AND THINK IT IS EXCELLENT
East z East – Manchester City CentreWhat a very pleasant place to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon. My group of eight received a warm welcome and good service. We did get a meal served wrong but it was quickly and politely rectified. I did notice a complaint from another table but the man complaining was very abrupt and rude to the manager and staff in turn. I always say you should treat others as you would like to be treated. If your complaint is genuine they will sort it out and look after you. We make it our Sunday meeting place and tend to see a lot of familiar faces, that must speak for itself. Thanks
