The Fisherman’s Retreat – RamsbottomMichael the waiter was excellent and made us feel very welcome, give him a wage rise or bonus. 10/10 meal very enjoyable. Thank You.
Little Yang Sing – Manchester City CentreEasily the best pub in Tameside, excellent food in great pub surroundings with great service. V busy especially at weekends, recently had an expensive, expansive renovation, you will not be disappointed.
Waggon and Horses – StalybridgeWent last Friday with some friends and was really surprised at how nice this country pub was - candles on each table, large airy dining room, material napkins. Menu is very varied with choices from homemade Lancashire hotpot at less than £7 up to fresh fish / meat dishes at a bit more. We all had something different for starter and main and where really pleased with out choices. My partner had the homemade soup broccoli and stilton which was really tasty and I had the pate which was nicely presented, a good consistency and not overly creamy. Our mains were equally good I had monk fish tails with noodles and a Thai green curry sauce which was delicious and my partner the 5 hr cooked lamb shank which he said melted in his mouth. He had a homemade pudding too which he enjoyed. 5 courses between the 2 of us, drinks (wine and beer) came to £60 which we thought was really reasonable. Will definitely go again.
Swan With Two Nicks, The – AltrinchamWent for a belated birthday meal with my parents here. The food was gorgeous and would definitely go again.
Giovannis – Manchester City CentreWe have been going to Romano? for a few years now, all I can say it is the best Italian around, and we have sampled just a few! Excellent food and staff are friendly, in nice surroundings too, it? a must but do book!!! Keep up the good work Ricky (the manager)!!! from Anthony and Lorraine. x
Romanos – Oldhami been very impress by the standard of food, service every time i visit . I would like to recommend this restaurant to the fellow dinners who enjoy high quality food and hospitality. Great discovery in Stockport.... keep it up guys
Kantipur – StockportBeen to some fancy, more expensive places around Mcr and still think this is the best restaurant in town. Been lots of times and it's consistently of excellent quality. Went with my partner for our first meal out together and now go back for some anniversaries. Unpretentious place and waiting staff are always friendly and helpful. Cheers!
Jem and I Bar and Grill – DidsburyWe had always stumbled into China Town previously when we wanted Chinese, its easy to miss the rice bowl! What a nice change from the glaring lights and "all-you-can-eat" scenario you come across so often in China Town - the food was delicious and the range of choice was amazing! would particularly recommend King Prawn or Fillet Steak dishes although could not really fault anything! Service was attentive but discreet and the restaurant has a lovely ambience. will definitely be back!
The Rice Bowl – Manchester City CentreMyself and 5 friends arrived on Thursday night at 8.15. Upon arrival there was a glowing buzz about the place. every table was full. The waiting staff very attentive and on the ball. The food here is all freshly prepared including the pasta. Most of the group opted for the calamari. It arrived in this beautiful tomato based sauce. I honestly wanted to pick the plate up and lick it clean. Instead the delicious garlic bread was used to mop it up. For the main course we again opted for the vitello milanese. Whilst we were enjoying the starter, I? sure they were battering the veal ready to breadcrumb. I was right. When it arrived we weren? disappointed. The fresh spaghetti with the tomato sauce was lip smackingly unctuous. The veal cooked to perfection. One of the party went for the duck confit. The duck nice and crispy. This place is a Didsbury Gem. For dessert we ordered 2 desserts the chianti poached pear with a dark chocolate sauce. and the chocolate hazelnut cake. Both were equally amazing. Everybody should check this place out. I also suggest booking as it must always be full. A pleasure!
Azzurro Restaurant – DidsburyLeo? restaurant is still the truly Italian around Bolton. After all these years, the standard of service and the food that you receive is better than ever. The new menu is full of meats and fish dishes and the staff will always try to sell you the best. Still a great experience. The tiramisu is something else.
Leo’s – Horwichcasa nostra is still a great place where to go for a good night out .During the week ,the special deal and the live music are something that no other restaurant offers. Now they open for Sunday lunch (with a special deal of £13.95 for three course meal.) and the staff is very friendly. The food is fresh and very.... Italian!! I will always recommend it.
Casa Nostra – WesthoughtonOnce again, a great meal at Manchester best asian restaurant. No complaints.
East z East – Manchester City CentreWe went to the Punjab Tandoori after reading these reviews online and it lived up to expectations. We had keema dosa for starter and lamb kahari and chiken handi for main with the lightest naan we have ever tasted and beautifully flavoured pilau rice. The music was fantastic and the staff were really polite and courteous. The decor is a bit shabby but it really doesn't matter it adds to the ambience somehow. If you want authentic Indian food go here you won't be disappointed
Punjab Tandoori – RusholmeHave visited here 3 times now, once for a takeaway and twice to dine in. Food has always been fantastic - more authentic flavours similar to our holiday in India and fantastic fresh ingredients. The coconut rice must be tried!!!!!! Staff are always friendly, polite and make you very very welcome - they seem to remember every face that walks through the door which compensates for the slightly slower service which also does make a nice change compared to those other restaurants that throw you one course immediately after another. Not a posh establishment but great still great for couples and equally a large group of you.
Coriander – ChorltonThe best place in Bolton for a lovely meal. Staff are brilliant too!
Sunar Gaw – BoltonAll enjoyed the meal and the service was second to none excellent
Moorcock Inn – LittleboroughI have joined friends and family for a meal at Micker Brook many times and on each occasion have found the food and service to be second to none. The staff are always very helpful, polite and cheerful. The place itself is pleasantly decorated, nicely lit and very clean but homely and comfortable.. Washroom facilities are excellent. The outdoor surroundings are kept clean and neat with ample parking spaces. Every visit is a pleasure to behold.
