Sul Lago – OldhamAs always, excellent food, service & ambience. We have never been disappointed in our visits to Sokrates & are always treated in a respectful & friendly manner. Tonight was a Birthday meal for me & my family and I cannot think of a better way to spend a Birthday! Many Thanks to all the staff at the Winter Hey Lane Taverna!!!
Sokrates Taverna – HorwichI love El Rincon?!! The best meat paella and wonderful patatas bravas the gambas pil pil the best I have ever had!!!! Go on a regular basis and are booked in for next Saturday. The best Spanish tapas bar ever..
El Rincon de Rafa – Manchester City CentreI am currently based in Dubai, my parents live in Manchester. I've travelled around the Middle-East but the food here has to be the best I've tasted. Try the Baba Ghannouge and Kibbeh - these guys are masters when it comes to authentic syrian/lebanese cuisine - excellent and highly recommended.
Petra – RusholmeAbsolutely fabulous, service is great and the staff are very friendly especially Paul and Maria. We have lost count of the times we have visited the restaurant and will return again and again. Highly recommended!!!!!
Frankie and Bennys – Salford QuaysAfter a few bevies in town a friend and I were hungry and fancied a Chinese but outside of china town. I discovered that this little gem of a restaurant was still open being mid-week! After looking at the quite pricey menu I was expecting a small, piddly portion. Much to my surprise a huge bowl of chicken chow mien was placed in front of me and I could barely finish it. It was fresh and very tasty and accompanied the relaxed atmosphere in this authentic Chinese environment. A must for those who like a big portion as a winter warmer. Marvellous!
Tai Pan Restaurant – RusholmeI have now been twice in 2 weeks as the first time was so good I needed to return ASAP. We were taken by friends the first time and the first thing that hit me after walking into the restaurant was what a fantastic host the owner, Wing is. He asked everyone's first names and bearing in mind this was a Saturday evening and full to capacity remembered all our names correctly throughout the night. The attention to detail of the restaurant is fabulous and the staff dressed in authentic Chinese attire and wearing white gloves to serve you is something special. I thought I had eaten in some of this country's better Chinese restaurants but I have to say this place stands above them all. We were seated in a very nice booth where the ladies had poufs next to them on which to place their handbags. Hot towels to cleanse were brought out immediately. The menu choice is fantastic, the food even better. If you are a lover of Chinese food I defy anyone to find fault with this place and if you haven't yet eaten here you must go as soon as possible. We eat out 4 to 5 nights per week. This is probably the best restaurant ever.
Wings – Manchester City CentreI have been there a couple of time now and have been impressed every time. Would recommend to any body.
Sul Lago – Oldhambrill view! nice place for all ages of people
Sul Lago – OldhamTogether with Sam's Chophouse one of the finest english cuisine you can get in town. The menu consists of amazingly nice 'Fish and Chips' or the famous 'Steak and Kidney Pudding'. Although you have to pay more than average it is well worth a visit even at lunch time.
Mr Thomas’s Chop House – Manchester City CentreAfter reading all the rave reviews about this place I was a little disappointed, the food was good, not as good as I was led to believe, seemed very under staffed, polite and courteous when you could manage to get someone? attention, not the staffs fault, management should sort out this problem, maybe I went on a night that was to busy, recommend going in mid week not sat if you like good service as you may get better service if there is less customers.
Koreana – Manchester City CentreThe best tapas in town you can get! I go there on a regular bases and I would always recommend it.
El Rincon de Rafa – Manchester City CentreWe went to San Carlo one Friday evening in September. The atmosphere is really lively as soon as you walk through the door. There was a great range of dishes to choose from, and none of us were disappointed with our choices, everything was perfectly cooked. The service is excellent, there was no waiting for dishes to be cleared or too long a gap between courses. The price is not the cheapest of Italian restaurants, but we came away feeling we had really good value for money. Definitely one to return to.
San Carlo – Manchester City CentreA Chinese restaurant that is one of the best in Manchester not given the credit it deserves due to its situation out of China Town and distance from the city centre. Traditional Chinese service of food that equals the best in some of the renowned restaurants of both Manchester and London China towns.
Jade Garden – Didsburyvery very good
Sul Lago – OldhamI love this restaurant, so many choices for mains on the menu, pizza, pasta and secondi are all wonderful. Great wine and puddings are delicious...try the chocolate fudge cake...it's massive! Gets very busy at weekends, but have always had good service, try it!
Piccolino- Caffe Grande – Manchester City CentreFirst time visit after reading the earlier reports on here and we were quite impressed. Parked directly outside and found it a stunning building with some excellent interior architecture. After a couple of drinks at the bar we were shown to our table which was in a sort of booth. We had a seafood platter to start which was excellently presented with lobster, king prawns, scallops etc. The quality was excellent but slightly expensive at £48. Again we had fish for main course which was delicious. The place and quality of food is excellent and well worth a visit but at over £100 for 2 of us was slightly on the expensive side as a substitute for the wife cooking but its a beautiful place for any special occasion and we will definitely return.
Stock Restaurant – Manchester City CentreWine was fantastic; food was a let down, felt under seasoned and watered down for an English palette. Would love to see it as more of a traditional tapas place - where you can get just a drink or food - they would still make the money as the wine is great. Wine waiter was knowledgeable, friendly and cute.
