The best Chinese restaurant I've ever eaten in. The whole package is great, and the staff are superb. It should be on everyones top 10 places to eat in Manchester.

Choy Hing Village – SaleBooked a table on a Saturday night. Arrived early and the helpful staff juggled things around to seat us. Great service throughout, really helpful and friendly people. Food is presented very well and the whole gastropub experience is very relaxed and enjoyable. To find excellent food and service in a "pub" environment is a real treat - we'll be returning soon.
The Oxnoble – Manchester City CentreVery good standard of cooking here, sea bass in salt crust was excellent, the onion and potato tortilla was reordered three times, that moreish! You'll take a hit on the plastic, but then quality costs. El Rincon watch out. Definateley one of the top five restaurants in town for consistency, and I've eaten regularly at most of them. Give it a go.
Evuna Deansgate – Manchester City CentreAt a busy Friday lunch time, the staff kept their cool, were friendly and efficient, and the food was excellent. About the same as pub food in price but far superior in quality and choice. If you enjoy a bit more noise and bustle then you might expect in Bramhall, you'll like Beluga.
Beluga – BramhallA fantastic evening, a really frienly atmosphere complimented by excellent food, great wine and friendly & helpful staff.
San Marino – BoltonI have eaten here for years - sat at every table - 4 different girl friends then the wife and now the kids come too - enough said.
Bay Of Bengal – LittleboroughFabulous food and drinks. The price was the best in the city center. The staff were well mannered and pleasant (shame about the uniforms), especially that lovely camp young male manager with the dark curtained hair. I'd go back there again just to be served by him. Julian x
Sinclairs Oyster Bar – Manchester City CentreNot really traditional, the food was something you would expect down any old pub.
Sinclairs Oyster Bar – Manchester City CentreIm a frequent visitor to the Living Room. Good atmosphere, especially at wkend. Only downfall people seem to be a little bit pretentious because its a celebrity hangout but hey its the place to be seen, what else should i expect......
The Living Room – Manchester City Centrefabulous place!
Lead Station – ChorltonI have been going to China City for a few years now. I go 2 - 3 times per month. The food has always been excellent, and the chef is very accommodating to your requirements if you don't like something, or even if you just want something added into your dish. The staff have been constant, with the odd change over the years, so they get to know your face after a couple of visits. Everybody is always made to feel very welcome and seated promptly unless they are busy (always on a weekend) when you will be asked to take a drink at the bar until a table is free, which is not normally too long, unless it can't be helped!! The food is the best Cantonese and Hong Kong style that I have personally ever tried. I recommend the Spring onion pancakes, the sesame coated lemon chicken with lemon sauce, the deep fried pork in O.K sauce, and the lamb and spring onions, but then I can only recommend everything depending on your own tastes. I personally think this is the best food and menu I have ever eaten/seen in a Chinese capacity. You must try it at least once, and I guarantee you'll be hooked!!
China City – Manchester City CentreThis restaurant is a "class act". It takes the concept of the Indian buffet to a new level and is far better than the Rusholme equivalents. Serious money has been spent on the building and its furnishings. Nawaab is a place to go back - incredible value for a fixed £10 a head.
Royal Nawaab – LevenshulmeI took my girlfriend to the gaucho grill for her birthday after reading some of the reviews on this web page, we had a great night. Everything about the place was quality, especially the steaks, the best food i have ever had!! The deserts need a bit of attention, but that didnt take anything away from the evening! the wine is a little pricey but again with the recommendation from the waiter, that was superb!! For a special occassion, the gaucho grill would be my choice!
Gaucho – Manchester City CentreAmazing
San Marino – BoltonA great value meal and company
Rigbye Arms Country Inn and Bistro – WiganMe and my girlfriend frequently visit the bella vista as the food is exellent as is the atmosphere, linked with the beautiful views and the reasonable pricing, the bella Vista is an exellent place for all occassions!!. Only the service is a slight downfall, as sometimes you are left waiting, never for the food but for the clearing of finished meals. Overall i would highly recommend this place.
Bellavista – RochdaleLa Scala is an astounding restaurant, the staff and service you recieve is very good, and the food well enough said, this is a must to go restaurant, especially for the steak and vino 101%
La Scala – Westhoughtonthe food was very good and the service was excellent, we shall dine there again the girls looked after us very well
