Happy Seasons Chinese Restaurant – Manchester City CentreForget Rusholme or the City Centre, if you want the best curry of your life come here. A friendly family run business that serves Nepalese/ Indian food. Seems like the cliental ae all regulars and more like friends then mere customers! The curries were delicious and not the usual slop with 3 pieces of meat floating in the middle that you get in most Indian restaurants. The menu is extensive and well priced. We recommend that you try the unique Nepalese dishes on offer as they are simply gorgeous! I recommend that you try the Chicken Chilli and the Momochas. On our first visit, we could see couples, business people and families all obviously enjoying the atmosphere and cuisine. The waiters are all Nepalese and serve the dishes with a flourish and were very attentive. We have been half a dozen times since, for quiet couply meals and also took the whole family. Can get very busy on weekends, so recommend you book first. Had a very good extensive wine list and the home made Kulfi icecream dessert has to be tasted to be believed. Miss this place at your peril! 10/10!

Koh Samui Thai Restaurant – Manchester City CentreWell - where can I start! If you are a bit like me - a late 80's person, you will love this place. It's right back to the good old "dine and disco" - fabulous! You really need a few of you to go here - about 10 minimum. You book your table - order your food a few days in advance - good choice of food by the way. Enter on the night and just wait for a bit party. The food is served quickly and efficiently and is of excellent quality. Staff are attentive and keep drinks topped up always. Then when everyone in the restaurant has finished eating - the disco starts! Tunes are not for the modern clubbers - more the old time clubbers from the 80's - things like Come on Eileen etc... real feel good tunes. I went with a party of 20 - and have just booked New Year's Eve there - a party of 10 and I am sure everyone will have a great time. First Class!!!
Amici – StockportFantastic food and very reasonable prices. Quite a small place and very busy on a weekend so booking is essential. Feels a bit cramped but well worth it for the food.

Choy Hing Village – SaleFood is excellent, service is promt, even when busy. The fixed luchtime menus are excellent value as are dishes off the general menu. Salt and pepper squid with sweet and sour sauce was delicious. Have been several times and will go back again.
China City – Manchester City Centrewent with a party of 10 and had a really enjoyable night with excellent food and service
Lal Qila – RusholmeExcellent restaurant with it's own style. A variety of dishes which makes returning as fresh as the 1st vist.
Pond Quay Restaurant – UrmstonAfer diving in off the street, from a cold and rainy night in Manchester we wondered what to expect. Well it was not at its busiest but the staff made us feel at ease right away. The food? No other option for us but the seafood banquet - Sharks fin & crab soup, salt n pepper squid, steamed scallops n the shell and a huge baked lobster (just for starters!) were all beautiful. Four main courses completed the set including king prawn and mange tout and steamed lemon sole, the sole was extremely delicate. Steaming hot sake finished it all off nicely - oh and the beautifully chilled fresh fruit platter. £80 all in for two of us, including the cigarettes they popped out to buy for us. Very nice, we'll definately be back.
