This is with out doubt one of the best bars in Manchester, the beer may not be cheap but its the best europe has to offer. And the place is so chilled and relaxed, the old place has a great sense of humour too

Bar Fringe – Manchester City CentreWaht this place makes up for in good beers it lacks in atmosphere, the place is full od pretensious, student types who think they are better everyone else. A definite need for some atmosphere here!! But the Beers is great
Sand Bar – Manchester City Centrethe food is outstanding, but like everything in life you have to be willing to pay for what you want, it sure aint cheap but it sure is worth it
Yang Sing – Manchester City CentreThis is a top place to eat and you will come out bloated, this is the way it should be!!
The Old Wellington – Manchester City CentreIt does not get better then this, in terms of atmosphere this is second to none and certainly the most authentic place to eat for chinese food
Happy Seasons Chinese Restaurant – Manchester City CentreAfter a disastrous experience at another chain of Italian restaurants, this was a pleasant surprise. The food was delicious and the service very prompt so we were not rushing to get to the theatre. Highly recommended.
Pizza Express – Salford QuaysThe best Italian Food in the Stockport area. The staff, service and atmosphere is excellent and definately well worth a visit, although I suggest you book in advance.
Al Fresco – StockportA great restaurant right in the middle of Cheadle Hulme. Great after a night out. The food is absolutely fantastic - probably one of the best indian restaurants I have ever eaten in.
Garam Massalla – CheadleAte well, drank (toooooooo well !)Great place exceptional service.good beers wine a bit pricey.Oveall a great night
The Oxnoble – Manchester City CentreI love the south indian cuisine and the fact that it's a bit different to all the other curry houses. The staff are nice and friendly and you're not overwhelmed with annoying political posters for stupid rallies. [e.g. stop the war etc etc] . A tasty non-political curry!!
Punjab Tandoori – RusholmeI live dangerously close to this place. Dangerous because I could eat here every night! It really is better than anywhere I've tried in Rusholme, and trust me, I've tried most. And if you dont want a "Sit Down Dokers" there's a Takeaway next door that is equally incredible! The only downside is that I dont think they do deliveries! Recommended dishes Starter: Prawn Puri (best ever) Main: Fish Bahji
Khandoker – DidsburyFancy a full fry up with a bottle of Chablis on a Sunday morning? You can at Saints & Scholars. A group of us rolled up at lunchtime on a Sunday birthday hangovers intact, ordered a full english with Chablis & Beaujolais for the red wine drinkers and stayed for the afternoon. The staff were friendly and joined in with the birthday celebrations. The fry-up was the best this side of Manchester.
Saints Bar and Kitchen – DidsburyThe best place in South Manchester to meet friends for an early meal, catch up and fill up!!! The service is friendly and efficient, the menu is constantly changing and delicious and the wine choice is excellent.
Lime Tree – DidsburyThe BEST Thai Restaurant in the North West (and I've tried a few). The interior design, service and food all took me back to my holiday in Thailand, authentic in everyway! Great for a couple or a group. Stunning food, excellent choice of wine, friendly helpful staff, I can definitely recommend this restaurant.
Jitrada Thai Restaurant – SaleCosy friendly atmosphere, although so small that it took three failed attempts to get a table! Excellent seafood and pasta dishes. Average service, good wine list.
Chez Nous Bistro – Saleneed to improve more.
Lal Qila – RusholmeThe platters are the best option here...plenty of choice, plenty of content and very rarely any leftovers. The dolmades are gloriously oozing olive oil while the kofte are firm and pungent with garlic and herbs. Eating at Dimitris can be a tribal, ritualistic occasion or an intimate dinner for two with memories of holidays in Crete or Zakynthos to rekindle the culinary magic. The service remains friendly while being understandably frenetic and the ambience is everything that most Greek, Cypriot and Turkish tavernas can only aspire to. The next best thing to eating al fresco in Rethymnon!
Dimitri’s Tapas Bar Taverna – Manchester City CentreI consider myself somewhat of a connoisseur of the Indian cuisine having been known to have my favourite chicken sizzler, hot masala sauce and both pilau rice and naan bread some 10 days on the run. Having eaten so many curries from various differing restaurants in my time ranging from the reputed Shere Khan, Shimila Pinks and Royal Naz to name but a few, none of which have come close to equalling the quality of food and presentation that the Lal Qila has produced on every occasion. 10/10 will be somewhat of an injustice to this marvelous establishment.
