L’Aquila Sunny Bank – BuryDefinitely my favourite brunch/lunch venue in Didsbury!
The Art of Tea – DidsburyAbsolutely fantastic meal. Was put on a Thursday evening for a celebratory meal and I can’t fault anything. There was a group in, but when they found out we weren’t with them, the seated us immediately and brought the drinks to our table. I felt seen, looked after OMG was the food good!!!
Mario’s Pizzeria Ristorante – RochdaleSuper close to the theatre so perfect for a quick bite to eat before the show. Greeted by most of the staff when entering. Drinks and food ordered very quickly. I enjoyed my food, my sister had the risotto and said it was nice but lacked a bit of seasoning. After some salt she enjoyed it. Nice atmosphere. Lovely staff. Toilets down steep steps, very small but adequate. I’m the hall before the toilets there was a door mat, when walking through I stepped on it and went over on my ankle as it was covering a missing tile. Informed staff and but a wet floor sign on it immediately so people knew not to step on it. Good value for money for the pre show set menu. We had a 17:30 booking and we’re finished by 18:45, plenty of time for a 19:30 show.
Giorgios – Manchester City CentreGood food and service
Anatolian Grill – PrestwichFood was amazing as usual
The Drop Bar Cafe Restaurant – ChorltonPerfect meal, had the nicest meal and would definitely be back
Anatolian Grill – PrestwichLovely evening for my boyfriend’s birthday meal. We had never been and will definitely be returning.
Anatolian Grill – PrestwichHad lunch here for the first time, the food is very good, with lots of choice. The atmosphere is good but can be a little noisy when busy. We were welcomed by friendly staff and well treated. The service was quick and we enjoyed relaxing with friends and our meal which was very reasonably priced.
Cafe Italia – BoltonWe visited on a Saturday for a family meal after seeing the pub on social media and being intrigued by the concept. The woman who served us, who I assumed was the manager, was incredibly accommodating, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble despite being on her own. We all agreed the food was good but there were a couple of issues such as our mains not all coming out the same time and the starters not being very hot. We also were expecting chicken tikka in our curries but only got chicken. Only minor things though and we’ll definitely be back. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu.
The Gatehouse Ale & Aloo – WorsleyOur 3 rd visit, and again outstanding cooking. And very friendly and efficient service. The Fat Loaf is a hidden gem, and I am reluctant to share this secret with everybody, but the restaurant, chefs and serving staff deserve to be recognised. We will revisit soon, and our friend who joined us this last time also thought it was a great place. It was a bit quiet simply because we went on a freezing Thursday evening. Not many folk were out anywhere that night.
Fat Loaf – SaleAs usual, The Drop has come up trumps with beautiful food and a great vibe. We also love the cute mini shopping trolleys that the final bill comes in. Very cool. Henry was very attentive to our needs and answered all our questions about the food and drink patiently and with good humour. We’ll be back!
The Drop Bar Cafe Restaurant – ChorltonThe restaurant was very busy upon arrival at 5.40pm. It took half an hour to have our order taken and just over another half an hour to get our food. We had to chase up our food as we were going to the theatre and we didn't want to be late. A lovely young waitress sorted out our dilemma but we had to rush our food down. Lovely place, food and staff but allow plenty of time if you are going to the theatre.
Giorgios – Manchester City CentrePleasant friendly setting. Ideal for access to Palace theatre
Giorgios – Manchester City CentreGreat welcome, very attentive, good service, tasty food. Great place for a pre theatre lunch and busy for mid week lunchtime

Panama Hattys Grill – PrestwichOh my GOD! Everything about Chakalaka is amaaaazing! The food, the atmosphere, how friendly the staff are… everything is A+ I had the maize bites for starter, the lamb curry for main and the peppermint tart for dessert and I’ve been thinking about it all day since. Everything was made to perfection and tasted SO good. It’s definitely in my Top 5 means I’ve ever eaten. The staff are lovely and make you feel really welcome and the atmosphere is an absolute vibe! Great prices and a cute location, will definitely be coming back for more!
