Best Indian in Manchester. Not just me that thinks it, so do the Asian Curry Awards!
Ziya Asian Grill – RusholmeZiya fitted our large party in late on a Friday night. The food was well worth the wait! Excellent succulent Jalfrezi and Saag Aloo. A very busy place with a strong Asian clientele that says a lot about the place!
Ziya Asian Grill – RusholmeZiya is one of the few restaurants in Greater Manchester that is actually Indian rather than Bangladeshi or Pakistani. As a result the food is not typical. More important that Ziya's food is first class. I enjoyed pistachio tandoor chicken to start that was so succulent and flavoursome, the best starter I have had in an Indian restaurant. I then had a Chettinad curry to follow that was aromatic and full of tasty herbs and spices. The service was very good and I liked being able to see the chefs at work. I think they are the only restaurant to have a balcony in Rusholme , so a great place to watch one of the most unusual and colourful streets in England!
Ziya Asian Grill – RusholmeWow this place is beautiful nothing like it in manchester and the food is to die for stunning. Had the lamb biriyani and also some fish pakora and some mushroom rice , the best Indian I've had ever in Rusholme and Manchester. This place beats East z East and Akbars and Zouk hands down..Very reasonable prices to just same as most places and they have a private dining room upstairs for bookings and parties. I just booked it for a girls night out for 16 of us for a birthday and they've done me a personalised menu for 20 quid a head, can't wait. 10/10 well done the staff are really friendly too, go check it out ,love the decor and the toilets are stunning.
Ziya Asian Grill – RusholmeHorrible and cold food. Visited 08/09/14 for my birthday meal. We ordered chicken wings for starters they arrived wittiin minutes and were cold and came on a sizzling platter with raw onions. For mains my husband ordered a burger which had lamb, chicken and beef and I ordered a t bone ranch style steak. Was looking forward to it but when it arrived everything was like warm and did not taste very nice at all. For sides I ordered veg and roast pots. They veg was cold and tasted like they had been in the freezer and boiled and the potatoes were equally horrible. The steak had hardly any meat on. It was very fatty and tasted sweet. Disgusting. My husband burger felt like leftovers for the filling. The beef burger was cold and crunchy and the lamb had no taste. It was disgusting. I paid so much money for horrible food and my birthday was ruined. Never going there again
Ranch – RusholmeI am following these ppl everywhere the staff lovely and food is amazing the steak is just yummy, couldn't fault it one bit. ;)
Ranch – RusholmeDreadful. Arrived at 21:04 in the evening on a Sunday. I'd say there were 6 or 7 tables with customers and I wouldn't say that's busy. We ordered drinks which took 20 minutes to arrive. And then we ordered our food. As we ordered our food a young couple arrived. This is when things started getting pear shared. Considering we only ordered some burgers and drinks we would think it wouldn't take too long for them to arrive. It got to 22:00 and we began to get slightly agitated and were told our burgers are being made. At this point I complained to the staff who told me that it was very busy and they were struggling. Looking around I could see it was a very very quiet night in that particular restaurant and I pointed this out by saying "it doesn't look very busy." To which the member of staff replied "that's your opinion". We were then told the burgers are almost ready. After another fifteen minutes a friend was now very upset. He decided to call two of the staff who completely ignored us and walked straight past. It was at this point we cancelled our meal and were told we had only been in the restaurant half an hour. God I wish it was only half an hour but we gave them the benefit of the doubt for an hour and a half. The customers that arrived after we had ordered had ordered, got their meal and had eaten in the time we were sat waiting for our meal. I would recommend people to carry on walking past Ranch and go elsewhere. Absolutely awful. At 22:37 we walked down the road to a Turkish restaurant called Antalya. Fantastic staff. Good food. Arrived in 15 minutes. I would never ever go back to Ranch.
Ranch – RusholmeThe Jerk Chicken I had was the real thing... Wow to the taste!! Worth every penny, best Caribbean in Manchester. Getting my dinner there tonight!!
Marleys Caribbean Restaurant and Bar – RusholmeBest biryani in Manchester. We travel all the way from North Wales just to eat at Shaygan Halal Takeaway, 153 Dickenson Road, Manchester and it is well worth the 1 hour journey as the food is authentic and delicious.
Shaygan Halal Takeaway – Rusholmei like this restaurant, i have to talk to the owner of this restaurant IFTEKHAR SAHIB please Email me.Thanks!
Shahenshah Restaurant – RusholmePlace nice, food great, service superb, price reasonable.
Kebabish Original – RusholmeHello, I think the Punjab is fantastic! The food was delicious! The service was excellent! Definitely would recommend it! You have to make a visit!
Punjab Tandoori – RusholmeWe visit the Spicy Hut regularly. The food is fantastic and the staff are friendly and entertaining. This week they made a special chocolate curry for our 5 year old daughter and it was fantastic. When they saw how much I liked it they brought out a chocolate jalfrezi for me to try - it had to be one of the best curries I've ever tasted.
Spicy Hut – RusholmeTerrible experience actually saw a cockroach run from the kitchen Did not even stop to finish food owner denies everything do not eat here
Ichiban Noodle Rice and Grill – Rusholmewe have been to petra many times and we love it .great food lovely staff. will be there again for valentines day
Petra – RusholmeWe visited the Punjab Tandoori on 27/01/2012 on the strength of the strong reviews we found in support of this place online, and none of the party of five left disappointed! This is a fantastic, restaurant despite the basic appearance from the street (admittedly the decor throughout is quite domestic)The staff however are friendly and helpful, serving drinks and poppadoms with tray within minutes of being seated. We started with the dhosas (£6 each), which are essentially the sort of pancakes you would serve up on pancake day, but without the lemon and sugar, and much crispier and more savoury. They were cooked to perfection and full of flavour. We shared 2 of these between 4 people, opting for the paneer and keema varieties. The keema was wonderfully fresh dressed with fresh coriander, and the paneer almost melted in the mouth. This was more than ample as a starter between 2 people. The party also ordered a seekh kebab, (2 kebabs served with typical side salad) which was slightly spicier than the norm, but nothing extraordinary. The restaurant serves many traditional punjab dishes, which you may not encounter in other curry establishments, so naturally we opted to try a few of these. They also offer the mainstream curries also, with the Tikka Massalla
Punjab Tandoori – RusholmeBrought Groupon Voucher, Drinks and food over priced, bland and staff unhelpful. Ordered a grilled chicken bento box and the waiter came back and said they only had the fried chicken (meaning the chicken is not battered fresh more likely frozen). As the grilled chicken was unavailable the waiter offered the fried instead when it came the batter was a dark red brown colour an over fried, inside the chicken was tasteless and jelly like and the curry sauce it was in was gelatinous goop. The bento box comes with green beans or some vegetables mine arrived with iceberg lettuce leaves, I questioned the waiter and he said that lettuce is vegetables. He agreed to bring some vegetables and came back with a salad of cucumber, tomatoes, and onions. I asked him have you any vegetables he said the green beans were not in season (you can get them in the supermarket all year). Cutting the story short I left without eating or paying!
Ichiban Noodle Rice and Grill – RusholmeI came to Manchester last year in September, and I've tried all restaurants that claim to be Indian cuisine based, this one place is what authentic Indian food is..!! they have been able to bring the actual taste of Indian food that i enjoyed all my life in spiceless northwest which is overtaken by worthless donners and stuffs that reflect not an ounce of what Indian people eat, apart from being so unhealthy. anyways, i have tried this place a couple of times, they have nice preparations, especially south indian dishes, i really wonder apart from them there in no other south Indian cuisine serving restaurant. the seating is comfortable, and you can spend some quality time here especially since they have liquor licence. Also they have Indian beer on draught, which to me, did not taste authentic, but all the same i cant negate it of its Indian correspondence. the owner is a fine gentleman and a connoisseur for food and personally takes interest in the preparations. staff is alright, not that delightful as the name is. still 5 star for food, 3 star for service, and 4 star for ambience. per head cost is £10 approx, in a group. A nice checkout and a dependable option for authentic Indian food.
