Food was very nice, my wife highly recommends the crab mac and cheese. The first waitress was really kind and very accommodating, but the 2nd younger waitress I suppose lacked experience, she forgot to take our starters away before bringing us our mains, didn't bring new cutlery till we asked and gave us empty condiments. More improvement points than us being negative as our whole experience was very good.
Slab Brasserie – MargateFood is outstanding! Staff go above and beyond! Absolutely love this place!
Slab Brasserie – MargateFood and service is amazing. Will come again when I come to Margate. Lovely venue inside and out, to enjoy great food and drinks under the sun!
Slab Brasserie – MargateAmazing food but had to wait a hour and a half just for starters , also we had to wait a while to order our drinks
Slab Brasserie – MargateMe and my friend visited yesterday really lovely food great atmosphere and staff very friendly would definitely recommend
The Med – MargateLovely afternoon in the sun with friends, food was great, price good and service excellent, our waitress was very attentive and friendly. We will be back
The Med – MargateMade a booking online through your website, all confirmed ok. Turned up at your restaurant at the correct time with my family and disabled aunt only to find it closed . Very difficult to walk round and find another open restaurant but luckily we did get a table somewhere else. Very disappointed with the service and won’t bother returning here.
The Med – MargateAbsolutely fantastic food, had squid starter followed by steak and polished it off! I would like to see a lobster option that was more affordable maybe half a lobster, or even a steak and lobster combo? Staff were lovely, my only criticism would be the actual restaurant inside could do with a general tidy round and smartening up to reflect the food and prices charged? some kind of canopy to shield you from sun without obscuring the view when dining in would be a great investment. Will definitely return tho as food compensated for everything else!
Slab Brasserie – MargateWe have visited this restaurant on several occasion, the menu is always changing with the seasons so you don't get bored, just love it. Highly recommend you try it for your self !!
Buoy and Oyster – MargateRecently visited the Bouy and Oyster for the first time for an evening meal. Very impressed with the design and comfortable layout of area. Staff greeted us and were very friendly. Our order was taken quickly, drinks were served and we were not kept waiting for either of our two courses. Our meal was exceptional in that it was beautifully prepared and presented. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will return again soon.
Buoy and Oyster – Margateianmanley.co.uk@ianmanleyThe Ambrette, MargateFabulous Indian fusion food that is not to be missed. Call me lazy, but I never try to find out too much about a place before I go there, apart from the obvious basics of what type of food it does, and where it is. That’s not saying I turn up blind, but I do try to pick and choose restaurants on recommendation rather than extensive internet trawling. I’d already been tipped off about Margate’s Ambrette when I bumped into Jacqui, an old colleague who lives in the town. “I’m thinking of going out for a meal when we’re in Margate for the weekend,” I said, “I can’t remember what it’s called though, something beginning with A, it does Indian fusiony type food.”“Oh the Ambrette,” she said, as quick as a flash. “It’s amazing, definitely go.”And that was that. I was booked. And hooked. Because she was right. It was amazing. So if you’re short for time, then please stop reading. You’ve already got the gist: I really liked it and think you should go there. Oh hello, you’re still here? Wonderful. Then I shall continue. I never think that Monday lunchtime is a terribly auspicious time and day to go out for a meal. It’s just not as buzzy as, say, a Thursday is it? Especially in Margate, which is said to close on Mondays due to the Turner Contemporary having the day off to dust down its Mondrians. When we walked in to the restaurant my worst fears were confirmed - we were the only people there. Still, the menu looked good and it meant the service was speedy and super attentive. But within 15 minutes a party of three arrived, then a foursome, then a couple celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary, another foursome and one more couple – Margate wasn’t shut, we’d just got there a bit early. The lunch menu was nice and simple, offering one course for £8.95, two for £14.95 and three for £19.95. We’d eaten out the night before at The Minnis Bar
The Ambrette – MargateGreat food and lovely staff. Fully recommend Yama's to friends and family . Gets a five stars out of five from me :)
Yama’s Thai and English Cafe – MargateI went to use this pub at 8pm this evening and got told by the bar staff that they was not serving drinks only to thier friends, and that no one could pay for thier drinks even the man who tried to pay for his drink, the bar woman gave him the drink rather than serve anyone else, I am horrified that this pub could even own a licence, all so they can clamp people's cars and charge £120 to get it back, how low will a pub stoop, and where we parked there wasn't even a sign, I have never been so insulted in all my life
The Britannia Pub – MargateFood ok nothing outstanding. I was told by owner that she had a large party of people coming in shortly and not to linger over my meal, Which made me feel uncomfortable the though out the meal. the owner should not put her problem on to the customers. I like to take my time over a meal as most people prices high for what it is average.
Mullins Brasserie – MargateWonderful location, fabulous food, friendly staff! Yesterday was about my fifth visit and each time i have brought along friends and family who also give Be-beached a thumbs up! I will continue to visit and recommend this great find! Cheers!
