We visited on a Saturday lunch time for a belated birthday meal for my son. The food and service were excellent and the staff were attentive and friendly. The "icing on the cake" was when the staff overheard it was my son's birthday and produced a fabulous birthday themed dessert for him! Couldn't recommend this place any more highly!

Nice food, great service by the friendly staff, the lighting was poor so couldn't really see what I was eating I ordered a £27 steak I'd of liked to see what I was eating.

It was my birthday and went for Sunday lunch . £20 for 3 courses . Couldn’t fault it . Was lovely. Staff were friendly and efficient also .

Christmas Day Lunch 6 course The food was delicious but disappointed there were no sprouts with our main course , love them or hate them, a must for a Christmas lunch. We did not get the canapés or sorbet as stated on the 6 course menu but not too bothered as what we had was plentiful. All in all it was a lovely day and experience, the staff and atmosphere was very good.

Spent NYE here and the food was absolutely beautiful. Ladies serving were lovely. Couldn’t fault it! More on the pricier side but we expected it!

Food undercooked cold and expensive. Place smelt damp. No service Manager very rude Will never return.

Booked via website, I was contacted to check we were still coming on the morning. All great. Arrived to be told chef was finishing in 10 mins so I was rushed to order. No Xmas menu to order from. Food was OK.

Very good food and good service/presentation , love the setting of the place . Only thing that Let It down was the cleanliness of the toilets sadly , had a horrible smell from the Mens and the toilet roll holders weren’t full , that’s the only thing wrong , the rest was fantastic

Thank you for an excellent Christmas lunch. The food was delicious and service was first class. Great atmosphere and a very warm welcome from very friendly staff. Even though the staff were clearly very busy they went out of their way to keep checking that we were happy with everything. Great day. Thank you.

We had a fantastic evening at Vine. The food was amazing and the staff were brilliant.

Absolutely to class, delicious food, fantastic service and for what we had was good value. The that member was excellent, attentive and chatty and happy to serve. No rush between courses giving time for a break. Tasty and hot food and excellent beer. Looking forward to our next visit.

Had table book for 7.15 as soon as we arrived greeted by friendly waitress who promptly showed us 2 our table! The food was outstanding couldn't fault anything! All the staff are lovely friendly and attentive!

Vine is our go to place for a girls night out. This was for a Christmas party and as usual we weren't disappointed. The three course Christmas menu was out of this world and great value for money. Excellent food and service, thanks for a great night.

Our first time at Vine, we had just moved house and this is now our local restaurant and what a restaurant it is. We decided to go for the sharing platter of lobster and steak, it was not until we ordered that I saw a little tank full of lobsters which I learned that I had created a demise for one of these creatures but boy was it worth it. Starters were incredible, we had goats cheese and scallops to start and they were beautifully presented and really well designed to take full advantage of the plethora of tastes from both items. The main course then arrived presented amazingly again, this was my first time eating lobster and it tasted wonderful with a great sweet taste, the steak was cooked to perfection and just melted in your mouth. Mac and cheese was phenomenal and chips tasted so good! The decor was fantastic with an old style subway decor and the server was fantastic and very attentive. Overall a great experience and we will 100% be going back.

Disappointing. This place is on our doorstep so I really wanted to love it - but it just didn’t deliver. Inattentive bar staff upon entry - despite the place being very quiet. - felt like we were intruding. Not great for front of house! Early bird menu - very limited & still not all options available. Went for fish for main course & was full of bones but in fairness, this was corrected immediately & another fish prepared. Food ok but nothing special/ we were there during Teesside restaurant week but at normal prices I’d have thought it not worth the money - and the a la carte menu looked expensive but also very limited in choice. Just something missing with the atmosphere. You get the feeling the place doesn’t really know what it is, but just doesn’t really work. It’s not dress up or dress down. Not fancy or casual. Would maybe work better as a bar rather than restaurant - beer & gourmet burger bar maybe? Whatever … I won’t be going back in a hurry or recommending to anyone. A real lost opportunity for what could be a lovely venue in a great spot.

Nice lunch,though,we were the only two in the restaurant.Sign of the times,I suppose! Started with oysters,which we enjoyed.Main,prawn linguine;prawns were cooked to perfection! Dessert,however,was off the scale! Never seen Pumpkin Pie on an English menu before! Tried it,and was blown away! Superb! The chef knew what he doing!

Steak was lovely!
