Highly recommended restaurant, friendly staff and gorgeous food. My daughter and I go for a tea time treat, really good value for money.
Fung Lok – Mossley HillThe food here is usually nice but last time I visited I ordered a piece of cake for dessert which tasted awful....it was most definitely 'off.' When I raised this with the manager she told me that it was 'supposed to' taste like that!! She also said it couldn't be 'off' as it was frozen, which is rubbish as frozen foods can go out of date the same way fresh foods can. She reluctantly removed the item from my bill, but due to the fuss she made I shall not be returning to eat there, which is a shame as the ribs and onion loaf are really lovely.
Damons – Mossley HillWe have eaten on several occasions at Cafe Sekander, and have always found the menu interesting with a massive choice of meals. They also let you bring in your own wine and beer for a small corkage charge, this helps to keep the bill very reasonable. I have no hesitation in going back there time after time.
Cafe Sekander – Mossley HillSuperb. Been a few times now and never been disappointed. Food service etc-superb
Cafe Sekander – Mossley HillTook our daughter here for her 18th Birthday. service was excellent, food was VERY good - (try the Cantonese king prawns-yum) would definitely return.
Eastern Diner – Mossley Hilloh my god what great food and service . the food was incredible .i recently ate in cafe sekander with friends who absolutely raved about it and and boy was i impressed, all i can say is fantastic
Cafe Sekander – Mossley HillI think this chip shop is the best in Liverpool for fish and chips.Massive portions, fresh fish daily, battered to perfection, and lincons maris piper potatoes that give that beautiful taste.Mouth watering. The owner has recently retired, but its still in the family,I think his son now has taken over, the quality has been maintained, the service is quick and efficient and the shop is spotless.Great shop.Mmm I'm hungry now!!!
Chris’s Fish and Chips – Mossley HillThe service in Damon's is very good. I took my two nieces there for their favourite baby back ribs, which were very tasty ( I managed to pinch one). However, it was probably my worst ever dining experience. I'm afraid the steak sandwich that I had was very poor quality and did not compare favourably to my local sandwich shop and was four times more expensive to boot. The kids loved their puddings but what child under seven years of age does not?
Damons – Mossley HillLovely food, lovely service - nothing is too much trouble for the staff there. My Mum, my sister and myself go regularly and it is always an enjoyable experience. My Mum doesn't like Chinese food, so she always has fish and chips which she really enjoys. Not only that, but they have a business man's lunch menu, which is three courses for under £6.00 - don't know how they do it, and they serve it until 5 or 6 pm. Thanks, guys for always making us feel so welcome...
Fung Lok – Mossley HillGood quality local restaurant with very friendly staff. I've eaten twice there in the last two weeks and thoroughly enjoyed the food. The prices are extremely reasonable, and personally I enjoyed it more than the meal I had at the more upmarket Indian restaurant nearby.
Madhari Indian Restaurant – Mossley HillThe new menus glitz and pomp set the food up for a fall, didn't deliver what it promised but the waitress more than made up for the disappointment and her Irish charm convinced us to give it another go this week and we were thrilled that things were much better. Would highly recommend the hot pot!!
Schmooze Wine Bar and Eatery – Mossley HillI recently visited the New York cafe bar, i ordered the salmon bagel when it arrived it was so hard i couldn’t even cut it in half and was scared of breaking a tooth on it i sent it back but after the time we waited for that didn’t bother to order anything else, my father ordered a steak baguette the meat was so burned he never even touched it, the managers attitude to my complaint was terrible in the middle of our discussion he answered the phone and turned his back on me, wouldn’t recommend you to take your worst enemy there maybe that’s why we were the only people in there.
New York Cafe Bar – Mossley HillI was introduced to Lefteris' Taverna during a recent visit to Liverpool to catch up with old friends. I must say this was one of the highlights of the weekend! I am no expert, but I know a thing or two when it comes to Greek Cuisine. (During my student days I traveled and spent a fair amount of time in Greece.) The restaurant interior is excellent, very inviting and comfortable. I found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful and the service was spot on. The food (The most important part!) brought back memories of eating out in Athens. I enjoyed some tasty calimari for starters, followed by a very generous portion of mousaka, accompanied with fries and rice. This was then washed down with an ice cold Mythos, a crisp, refreshing greek lager. The menu has a top selection of dishes which includes plenty of choices for Vegetarians. I am back in Liverpool over the Summer and look forward to returning to the Taverna once again. Totally recommended! 10/10. Ryan, Norwich UK
Lefteris Greek Taverna – Mossley HillI visited this restaurant 2 weekends ago and i was very disappointed. it has recently been renovated and the decor is nice. as for the food, it arrived late, cold and was not tasty at all. i do not recommend thins restaurant. the staff are awful and unfriendly.
Lefteris Greek Taverna – Mossley HillI visited this restaurant last week and although the food was ok it was fiercely expensive. although we were in a group and paid in excess of £600 for a meal they refused to give our deposit cheque back as 6 people hadn't turned up ( although they did give that table away anyway) then complained as the tip we gave wasn't enough apparently IN future ill stick to woolton.......much much better
Cafe Sekander – Mossley HillUsed to be a big fan of this great little restaurant, but it seems to have lost its way a little. Not sure whats happening here, I hope they regain their drive that they used to have but when I dined there last week I found the food quite bland and a strangely dull atmosphere. Give it a try because hopefully, it will return to it's former glory, but for the time being I'm afraid I won't be in a rush to return. Sorry.
Pauls Place – Mossley HillI was looking forward to dining at Lefteris, however although the restaurant was not busy the service was poor... We were left for too long to look at the menu and had to ask for a drink only to be told by the waitress that she was 'busy'! When our food finally arrived it was tasty albeit expensive, unfortunately when my friend got home that evening he was sick! Was it the food??
Lefteris Greek Taverna – Mossley HillI have dined here three times within the last year or so. The staff are fairly pleasant and the place is modern and with a quiet clientele. We had two courses each and a bottle of house wine which came to £70 - it seems Greek food doesn't come cheap on Allerton Road. The side portions could be bigger.
Lefteris Greek Taverna – Mossley Hill2 courses plus a piece of home-made dessert, £12.50. Available all-day Monday and Tuesday, until 6.30pm Wednesday and Thursday and until 5.30pm Fridays (excludes Bank Holidays).
