Cafe Sekander – Mossley HillSadly not a recommendation. Not aware when we that it had only been open 5 days (impulsive night out). I expect new places to have teething troubles but this was much more. Waited ages for drinks (not many of the waiting staff appear to understand much english). Waited ages again for the food. Disappointed what arrived. I had the combo starter. Sweet potato in tempura batter, even normal batter would have been better that waht we got...nothing like tempura. Won Tons were really limp and soggy. It appeared to me that most of the items were bought frozen then cooked, however that is not reflected in the prices which are expensive considering the poor quality. Towards the end of the night a small blonde lasy appeared and things speeded up. May she was manager, or owner. If only she had been there earlier, things might have gone more efficiently. Menu talks about how authentic the food is. Cannot agree, it was like a chinese with more spices added. The only good thing I can say about the place is, nice decor. Shame about the food.
Chaba Chaba Thai Restaurant – Mossley HillFirst time visit to Pauls Place today. Exceptional quality food and cooking !! Will spread the word among my fellow gourmands ! For celebrations and regular visits this small attractive restaurant is a must for all who appreciate the real meaning of ' good food'.
Pauls Place – Mossley HillExcellent food and excellent staff. This venue has a top choice of genuine Greek food and the price isn't to bad either. Make sure to book though as it gets very busy
Lefteris Greek Taverna – Mossley HillWhat a great restaurant. The food is amazing and the portions are excellent. The service was spot on. We went in a couple of weeks ago and met the manager, very polite young lady who went out of her way to make sure our night was perfect. 10 out 0f 10 without a doubt. We look forward to returning soon
Schmooze Wine Bar and Eatery – Mossley HillIf you want an excellent meal visit PAUL'S PLACE - we did 10 of us and we could not fault either the menu or the service, even the vegetarian amongst us The variety of dishes on the menu was more than enough to satisfy our tastes - starters, main meals, and desserts, Had never been before but will certainly be going back, nothing was too much for either Paul or his staff. Thank you Paul for making our evening
Pauls Place – Mossley HillDefinitely worth visit, my husband and I go here regularly, Try the prawn stuffed peppers, they are to die for!! Great value and really good food.
Cafe Sekander – Mossley HillExceptional food - my wife and I have been to many of the best restaurants in Liverpool, but Paul's ids by far the best food - only a small place and basic decor, but the food is always exceptional - I really can't speak too highly of Paul and he deserves greater recognition - he out performs the so called named restaurants in Hope Street, and his clients know and appreciate this.
Pauls Place – Mossley Hilli have been going to this chippy for 10years as it is my local, they do the best fish and scallops i have ever tasted and there Chinese food is better than most.
Chris’s Fish and Chips – Mossley HillHighly recommended restaurant, friendly staff and gorgeous food. My daughter and I go for a tea time treat, really good value for money.
Fung Lok – Mossley HillThe food here is usually nice but last time I visited I ordered a piece of cake for dessert which tasted awful....it was most definitely 'off.' When I raised this with the manager she told me that it was 'supposed to' taste like that!! She also said it couldn't be 'off' as it was frozen, which is rubbish as frozen foods can go out of date the same way fresh foods can. She reluctantly removed the item from my bill, but due to the fuss she made I shall not be returning to eat there, which is a shame as the ribs and onion loaf are really lovely.
Damons – Mossley HillWe have eaten on several occasions at Cafe Sekander, and have always found the menu interesting with a massive choice of meals. They also let you bring in your own wine and beer for a small corkage charge, this helps to keep the bill very reasonable. I have no hesitation in going back there time after time.
Cafe Sekander – Mossley HillSuperb. Been a few times now and never been disappointed. Food service etc-superb
Cafe Sekander – Mossley HillTook our daughter here for her 18th Birthday. service was excellent, food was VERY good - (try the Cantonese king prawns-yum) would definitely return.
Eastern Diner – Mossley Hilloh my god what great food and service . the food was incredible .i recently ate in cafe sekander with friends who absolutely raved about it and and boy was i impressed, all i can say is fantastic
Cafe Sekander – Mossley HillI think this chip shop is the best in Liverpool for fish and chips.Massive portions, fresh fish daily, battered to perfection, and lincons maris piper potatoes that give that beautiful taste.Mouth watering. The owner has recently retired, but its still in the family,I think his son now has taken over, the quality has been maintained, the service is quick and efficient and the shop is spotless.Great shop.Mmm I'm hungry now!!!
Chris’s Fish and Chips – Mossley HillThe service in Damon's is very good. I took my two nieces there for their favourite baby back ribs, which were very tasty ( I managed to pinch one). However, it was probably my worst ever dining experience. I'm afraid the steak sandwich that I had was very poor quality and did not compare favourably to my local sandwich shop and was four times more expensive to boot. The kids loved their puddings but what child under seven years of age does not?
Damons – Mossley HillLovely food, lovely service - nothing is too much trouble for the staff there. My Mum, my sister and myself go regularly and it is always an enjoyable experience. My Mum doesn't like Chinese food, so she always has fish and chips which she really enjoys. Not only that, but they have a business man's lunch menu, which is three courses for under £6.00 - don't know how they do it, and they serve it until 5 or 6 pm. Thanks, guys for always making us feel so welcome...
Fung Lok – Mossley Hill2 courses plus a piece of home-made dessert, £12.50. Available all-day Monday and Tuesday, until 6.30pm Wednesday and Thursday and until 5.30pm Fridays (excludes Bank Holidays).
