Vincenzos – Newcastle City CentreThe lady friend and I went Tapas crazy on Friday and hit El Torero and we were not disappointed. A great atmosphere, quick service and fantastic food We ordered seven dishes all of which were superb. From the juicy King Prawns in chilli and garlic to the Mussels in white wine. Together with a bottle of red wine and a dessert to share the bill came to £33.40. The dishes come separately as and when they are cooked, which I liked, as it made the whole experience less daunting. I left after two hours feeling 2 stones heavier and slightly suntanned FANTASTIC!!!!
El Torero – Newcastle City CentrePricey but on a quiet night, its a good place to spend with friends. Come weekends though its full of pretentious and fake crowd flaunting any signs of wealth in order to out do each other. Good service though.
Apartment – Newcastle City CentreIts simple and the foods good. Can't fault the place.
Mario – Newcastle City CentreThis place is alright. It? by no means a GREAT restaurant but not a bad one either. If your easily enticed by a CHINESE guy imitating a JAPANESE CHEF juggling eggs in between cooking what is essentially a variation of Chinese food, whilst surrounded by the odd youth team graduate footballer then so be it. However, if you?e after a true traditional Japanese food sushi experience, you should have gone to Nagomi on Stowell Street before Newcastle? uncultured crowd closed it down through their ignorance to try GOOD food. Anyway, on a different note, Hanahana is quite fun when you go with a large group of friends and the owner and chefs are happy to indulge in SAKE drinking sessions past closing time. All in all, it? worth the higher price, just for the experience and entertainment.
Hanahana – Newcastle City CentreIt was absolutely fab!!! The food was lush and the swinging music really got me wanting to dance!
Frankie and Bennys – Newcastle City CentreThis place is absolutely fantastic, it puts all the other Chinese restaurants to shame. 10 out of 10
Landmark – Newcastle City CentreGreat atmosphere, warm and welcoming. The Italian manager does the rounds of the tables and is great with kids. Good variety of tasty food.
Vincenzos – Newcastle City CentreThis is a great restaurant, exceptional value for money: 3 courses, two bottles of wine and two bottles of water for only £60 (2 people). The staff are friendly - the only thing is some of the tables are extremely close together but this is the Italian way. A firm favourite!
Zizzi – Newcastle City CentreOne of the best Chinese restaurants that I have been to and the prawns on the banquet are to die for they are so fresh and tasty. The whole meal was very enjoyable and if in Newcastle would go again. Like the previous review the only down side is that smoking IS allowed.
King Neptune – Newcastle City Centredined here whilst working in Newcastle recently. fantastic starter of local cheese fritter and tomato jam. the tenderest piece of beef i think i've ever had. bailey? pud was not in keeping with the quality of the rest of the food. i think it had been microwaved. all in all though a terrific meal.
Blackfriars Restaurant – Newcastle City CentreThis little place is terrific the whole restaurant is lit with fairy lights candles and dim wall lights makes it look very romantic and Italian. The meal was brilliant really nice food and very very well prices we had a nice surprise at the bill it was really worth it. I would recommend this place to anyone who is in Newcastle and would visit again if in the city.
Uno Trattoria – Newcastle City CentreI booked a table for our anniversary and can honestly say this restaurant has ambience, quality and style. The prices were very good as well as the service. Would recommend.......
Puccini’s – Newcastle City CentreThe best food I have eaten in Newcastle and i've been back 5 times..! Can get quite busy and noisy tho
Paradiso – Newcastle City CentreThe most relaxed atmosphere and most beautiful of any restaurant I?e been to in Newcastle.
Blackfriars Restaurant – Newcastle City CentreGreat food here. The salt and pepper prawns were perfection. The guys who own it are great too !!! Portions could be bigger however !!
Landmark – Newcastle City CentreAmazing lunch in cafe royal with fantastic steak and classy atmosphere and an amazing selection of cakes and coffees.
Cafe Royal – Newcastle City CentreDuring my visit to Puccini? in Newcastle I fully enjoyed it throughout the evening, we were always made welcome, although at the end of the night we felt that we were rushed out. staff explained they needed the table back, however it was good overall.
