Prima – Newcastle City CentreThis is my all time favourite place to eat and everyone I've introduced to zizzi loves it too! Great pizza and pasta at reasonable prices in a lovely atmosphere!
Zizzi – Newcastle City CentreHave eaten here several times and always had a really great evening. The atmosphere is very chilled, staff are friendly and relaxed plus the food is great , loads to choose from and good value for money. What more could you ask for!
The Salsa Cafe & Tapas Bar – Newcastle City CentreThe restaurant was great, the food was lovely too. The best thing was the pub and nightclub available so if you fancied having a sit down with a drink you could then once your food had settled you could go clubbing. What more could you want?
Apartment – Newcastle City CentreOur family have been visiting Pani's for years and introduced all our friends to its unique atmosphere. It has a great lunch menu but the evening menu too is really special. Lots of happy and delicious memories.
Panis Cafe – Newcastle City Centrethis was quite expensive but very nice .it was outstanding
The Crows Nest – Newcastle City Centrefantastic menu and great atmosphere. Highly recommended to any vegan, vegetarian, or broad minded carnivore!
Sky Apple – Newcastle City CentreWell, you get what you pay for, so if you are looking for a treat, make el torero one of your shortlist. A good idea if you are not too sure about Spanish cuisine is the tapas, which is just over £10 per person - a good selection of all things Espanola, and plenty of it- cold, hot, sizzling, steaming, crunchy, fresh - a very enjoyable evening.
El Torero – Newcastle City CentreThis has got to be the place to go .I went with my pals, 23 of us no booking they were quite full but they served us quick and nice *****
Latif Balti Restaurant – Newcastle City CentreService excellent and ambience superb - plenty of space between tables. Lamb and halibut were superb - Wine top rate - deserts excellent. 2 Adults and 1 kid £95 - without starters but including a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. Produce local and well sourced - this goes some way to explain the relatively high price for Newcastle. Chicken & Chips, lemonade & ice cream for our 11 year old was not good value for £21.75! Chicken was unfortunately dry and overcooked - but as this was a non-menu item we didn't make much of a fuss. However, we will definitely return with other adults. In short - Excellent for adults but leave the kids at home.
Blackfriars Restaurant – Newcastle City CentreNot just a meal but real entertainment as well. Excellent for parties and larger groups. We've been there about 7 or 8 times so far and the kids love it. Food is freshly prepared in front of your eyes - sushi excellent and the rest of the menu up to a very high level. Around £85 for 4 - pretty good but you can spend a lot more if you've a got a really big appetite or want a few drinks!
Fujiyama – Newcastle City CentreOnly one visit - valentines day 2005. Probably not a fair reflection as there was a special menu and price for the evening. Food was truly outstanding - many many small courses over a few hours with nice breaks for a chat and a drink. Cost more than I'd usually spend but it was a special occasion and as such very good value for money. We had a look at the full menu whilst we were there (seemed a bit fancy There wasn't much choice if you don't eat red meat and have a nut allergy. Maybe they were trying too hard to impress - I would have preferred what we were served that night over the a la carte menu - maybe they've changed over the summer - We must go back and see. I'm sure the chef would produce excellent food if what we tasted was representative!
Barluga – Newcastle City CentreOne of the kids favourites - well above average for Chinese food - good choice - portions very large so don't order too much - not much choice of deserts though. We go back again and again
Waterside Palace – Newcastle City CentreFood was very good and portions very large! Service great as were the surroundings. 2 cool bars too.
The Living Room – Newcastle City CentreAfter previous Experiences with a certain teppanyaki restaurant 4 doors away from Hanahana's I was dubious about going to this one but once i entered, my partner and I felt welcomed and well pampered. Service was quick and food was a marvel. Chef was chatty and waitress service was excellent. Highly recommended as the best teppanyaki in Newcastle/Northeast! Wonderful surroundings. Will definately go again. Go for the Lobster!!
