Having been a curry fanatic for many years, this is the best takeaway I have ever had the pleasure mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. In fact I will order one now.

Scrummy food, authentic Chinese hospitality.

i love the cluny so much. there cider is good and their falafel is brilliant. only problem is, keep losing on the bloody quiz machine. lolololol

Sorry this is not a recommendation ...........this is constructive comments about the Bistro which looks lovely on entering with lots of great features, its just a pity the food lets them down.The choice was very poor. My started was good beetroot with very little feta and a few leaves, my partner had pate this looked better than taste as it was just a slab of garlic. Main course....choice a bit poor but settled for Onlet steak medium and my partner Fish and Chips......................my steak was very rare I had asked for medium , I couldn't eat it, and the chips were tiny bitty end of frozen chips . My partners meal was frozen fish and chips . We left after that , we did complain and they removed the service charge which I think we should not be paying anyway. I have since spoken to a colleague who went the day after with friends, there was four of them and they had the extact same experience .Bistro looked great food not so good very rare meat and frozen chips , they also complained but nothing was done. Now come on Hotel Du Vin get your finger out and turn out some decent food listen to your customers . If your going to have a restaurant which has had lots spent on it then you should provide top notch food to compliment the surrondings

Consistently good food,family atmosphere and child friendly. We have been customers for 20+ years now (Previously 'Mario's' in city centre) so really pleased when La Vita opened in Heaton. From Pasta and Pizza to the specials on the board you will be guaranteed something delicious at a wide range of prices - happy hour is cheap enough for every student.

This is one of my favourite restaurants I have visited. The location is superb as it is just a quick pleasant walk to the bars afterwards if you wish to extend your evening! We were greeted by pleasant staff and the service was very prompt, despite it being a busy Friday night we were not waiting long at all for our excellent food. (Which is so reasonably priced). So flavoursome and leaves you wanting more! I will definitely be returning this weekend when I go to Newcastle.

We were transit at the national bus station from Edinburgh to Nottingham. It was noon. next bus only start 1hr 30mins time. So hungry, and were looking for halal food. luckily we saw Taste of Persia. Guess what? Food was superb, hot and tasty. I don't find in my country Malaysia. I wish to come back again one day

Authentic, 'real' INDIAN food. Although not a criticism of other food claiming to be Indian (more Cox's Bazaar), close your eyes and you can imagine yourself back in India. Enjoy 5*****!

WOW, Ended up here on my hen do and had a fantastic time. Great fun atmosphere. Hopefully be back in Newcastle soon to visit Bar 38! Thanks for a great night guys xxxx

Good delivery, helpful ordering over the phone, fresh tasting food. All in all was very happy with my whole experience and will be repeating it on the regular...

Although the food was excellent, the waiter we had was very rude, abrupt and not helpful at all. Unfortunately this soured the outstanding quality of the food. The portion sizes are large and this particular waiter was adamant that taking away untouched dishes due to misinformed portion sizes was not allowed so order lightly and add as needed. I will not be going to this restaurant again despite good food, I do not agree in paying for poor service.

I just wanted to say a big thank you for helping to make Shaun's 30th Birthday celebrations last Saturday a huge success. Everyone said how lovely the food was and also the atmosphere and what a good choice it was! Please pass on my thanks to your head chef and waiting staff who all helped to make the night memorable. The service was superb, by far the best service we as a company have ever received at any venue we have been to.
