Manhattan Pizza Co – Newcastle City CentreOne of the only eating establishments in Newcastle to be recommended by CoeliacUK. Gluten free and veggie menu superb - service a little slow but atmosphere superb!
La Tasca – Newcastle City CentreMy Partner and I both agreed this was by far the best restaurant of its kind we had visited. The menu was extensive with many variations of regional dishes. The venison cooked with chillis and tomato was fantastic! The food overall was well presented and the staff very attentive. At £73 being the total cost for two (including £23 for a bottle of Chablis) I considered this good value for the location. I will be returning.
Vujon – Newcastle City Centrewent for dinner to el coto recommended to me by some friends was not disappointed , such great atmosphere staff very friendly , food very tasty great value for money its a must try !!!
El Coto – Newcastle City CentreFriendly staff and good service
Mamma Mia – Newcastle City CentreOnly £10 per person for banquet meal on an evening, which includes prawn crackers, soup, shredded duck with pancakes, main course with egg fried rice, the KING PRAWNS are huge and delicious, and the curry is fantastic, worth every penny
Happiness Inn – Newcastle City CentreReally good pizza and excellent childrens meal deal. Thoroughly recommended for a family lunch or early evening.
Marco Polo – Newcastle City CentreI wasn't looking forward to going in to this restaurant, however to my surprise this restaurant does provide a great dining experience. The waiting staff and managers were all very attentive and friendly. The food was reasonably priced and the quality was surprisingly good too. I would recommend this restaurant for either a party or a quick lunch. 8/10
Frankie and Bennys – Newcastle City CentreA great setting on the quayside with a tardis-like interior! Food is always good, with some lovely specials usually available. Always enjoyed it here, and excellent for larger parties. Occasionally have trouble getting through to book though, but worth the effort!
Prima – Newcastle City CentreAbout to return for my second visit here, having been very impressed the first time! Delicious food and a lovely restaurant with friendly staff. Quality find.
Raj Tandoori – Newcastle City CentreExcellent service and the restaurant was lovely and relaxing. The food was excellent from the garlic bread and olives to the gorgeous desserts. Authentic Italian food with a modern twist, it will be hard to decide what to have. I would recommend the goats cheese starter, any main pizza or pasta and the banoffee pie as a dessert. Can't wait to go again!
ASK – Newcastle City Centrelove the food at the cluny...yummy homemade food and a lot of options for veggies! Service can be slow when it gets busy, but can have afew drinks while waiting... Perfect!!
The Cluny – Newcastle City CentreLove this place, lovely nachos and potato wedges. Would recommend them. And nice, decent wines. But, got the Tapas - they were nice but nothing special - meatballs were lukewarm, prawns didn? taste of coconut or chilli, the chicken one had one mouthful of chicken in it, and the beef was pretty small portion as well. So...recommend it, really like the place...and I go there a lot, but Tapas are just average.
The Salsa Cafe & Tapas Bar – Newcastle City CentreLove nandos... nice atmosphere for a chain style place... the food's tasty and inexpensive. Always have a good time in here!
Nando’s – Newcastle City CentreI've been to Zizzi Restaurant on a number of occasions on business and found the experience nothing more than adequate. The food was ok, although there are far more Italian restaurants in Newcastle that offer better food, although the menu is reasonably priced. If you're looking for a reasonably priced pizza/pasta restaurant then this will do fine, but if you're looking for a good authentic Italian restaurant look elsewhere.
Zizzi – Newcastle City CentreFirst of all I would like to point out that I have visited both Fujiyama and HanaHana and can easily say that Fujiyama is the better of the two by a long way. I would recommend going with as many people as possible and each person ordering the set meal, ours included king prawns, steak and chicken along with a number of other japanese courses. The entertainment on offer at fujiyama is on a par with the food. If you haven? been before, all your food is cooked in front of you at your table by your chef (who must also have enough qualifications to work in a circus) you will be entertained for hours and may also be called upon to help with the cooking/entertainment. I cannot recommend this place enough, I have also visited the Hartlepool restaurant which is as good as the Newcastle place.
Fujiyama – Newcastle City CentreExcellent all round meal and service with very friendly staff and a new manageress who is quite a chatty character - which makes you feel a "special' guest at the restaurant. Will be returning to La Tasca soon - well recommended.
La Tasca – Newcastle City CentreExcellent service, atmosphere, everyone friendly and accommodating from Manageress downwards. Would recommend this to anyone for a relaxed meal with good food.
