This is my favourite restaurant in Newcastle, I eat here several times a year. Ive never had a bad meal.. love the meze it never disappoints. Best Greek food outside of Greece.

Excellent food and service. Staff very friendly and place very warming. Would visit again next time at Newcastle.

We went for a family birthday meal. The four of us shared a wide range of dishes. Everything was freshly prepared and very good. We also had cocktails and desserts which were all delicious. I’m sure we’ll be back and this could become our new local favourite.

Another fabulous authentic Spanish tapas meal. Stunning quality ingredients beautifully cooked and presented and generous portions. Excellent value and service

Table of 4 Xmas catch up booking 4.15 Saturday. Usually excellent service as have been many times. Restaurant was very busy and took longer than usual to take our order. When our meal arrived the chips were Luke warm and not the usual size portions. We’re charged the wrong amount as charged fir the evening menu prices and our bill had to be corrected. Also had to try and keep getting waitress/ waiter attention which is again unusual as usually very attentive. Will go again tho as the food and service usually really excellent.

Felt nice and warm when we first went in but got cold throughout the meal. Weather was freezing and we sat beside a window, will sit further in next time. Lovely waitress, food filling, will visit again.

We were a booking of 10 and the service and food was amazing. We have all visited several times and each time has been an excellent experience from start to finish.

The food here was exceptional. Really enjoyed it. The service was great and the atmosphere didn’t disappoint. The staff was really nice and they set up the table for a 50th birthday celebration and catered for us with a smile, I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. And I will definitely be returning!

Great meal and service highly recommend

Food was great and the venue was also great. I had an issue with waiting over 25 mins after my table was cleared for the bill. Did not see my waiter in this time. When going to the front desk it was made to seem like my fault that I was kept waiting and the lady was super rude and did not even apologise properly

The restaurant mid week was busy which is always a good time. We ordered the starter meze for two and the main meal meze for two and everything was delicious. The food served was massive and very tasty. I’m sure we’ll be back and I’ve already told a few people All about the Restaurant Service was excellent, and so, were our Aperol spritz’s!

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Red Mezze. Brilliant food and service as well as being good value for money. Will definitely be going back and recommending to friends.

Fantastic authentic Greek food at a reasonable price, good friendly service. Food was brought to us very quickly, no waiting around.

26/11/23 arrived early & they still accommodated us without any fuss, gave us a nice quiet table, spent time answering all our queries regarding both food & drink, the food was really great, service faultless in all excellent value, we will certainly visit on our next visit to Newcastle.Thank you for a lovely night.

Booked online so easy, then had to change the time which meant a phone call. I phoned changed time , found the staff brilliant and most helpful. From the moment my friend and I entered the restaurant nothing was to much trouble. Lovely eating area , staff very attentive nothing was to much trouble. Food absolutely delicious, amazing portions sizes . Price definitely valve for money. We certainly will be returning and would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Another delicious meal at Kafenion. Staff efficient and attentive as usual. We’ll definitely be back.
