Food excellent, we do enjoy vising Kafeneon.

We booked Kafeneon for a colleague's retirement do and it didn't disappoint! There were 20 of us and we were given a beautiful room on the first floor, so we had our own private little space. We were welcomed by the staff who worked hard to make sure that we had everything we needed and the food did also not disappoint. I have been to Kafeneon only a few times, but would definitely make a return visit. Thanks to Daniel for making everything work - it was just great!

Visited for the first time and will definitely be back! The food was amazing and service was fast despite the restaurant being fairly full with some larger groups in. Staff were really friendly and attentive - overall well worth a visit!

Myself and friends celebrated my 75th Birthday at Kafeneon Tuesday 12th September, 2023.Some of them had never been to a Greek Restaurant or had Greek Food. They all loved it, so much that we are all, and more going back on the 26th September for another Birthday Celebration the staff were fabulous, friendly nothing a bother Thank you all for giving me a wonderful night Most of us had the TWO GREEK COURSES FOR £14.95 Huge portions but wonderful

Absolutely wonderful! The food and staff were brilliant. We booked for food after the Great North Run and could not be happier. I noticed how great and accommodating the staff were with runners coming in late too after all the rain. Had the Lamb Kleftiko which fell off the bone plus a starter platter which was lovely too. Thoroughly recommend!

Went after Great North Run - had to ring as were delayed due to the flooding at South Shields but staff accommodated us without fuss. Had lovely meal and service was quick- definitely recommend.

Visit here following watching a social media post pre trip to Newcastle for GNR. Booking process was simple. Food was awesome! We went for some starters (didn’t need them) and the Meze platter to share. Came with a great selection and more than enough for us to share. Would absolutely recommend this for any one visiting the city. The restaurant was lovely and clean and staff extremely welcoming and attentive. With drinks, starters and mains it was very good value for money. All round a 5 star review!

First visit - my daughter loves Greek food and we treated ourselves on our weekend away for the Great North Run. Lovely friendly welcome, seated quickly, food and drink service both prompt. The greek flatbreads were amazing - I had halloumi, my daughter had chicken. Both were wonderful. We shared the churros for dessert which was also very good. Drinks good too. Thanks for a lovely evening.

Amazing restaurant, my favorite in town!

We couldn’t believe the size of the mixed Mezze starter - absolutely fabulous. The mixed grail main was cooked to perfection. The taste of the meat was amazing and so tender. We shared the starter and main and there was more than enough for 2! I’d even recommend the house wine. Service great too.

Service was great, the portions were big and it was so reasonably priced, we had a bottle of wine, 2 starters, 2 mains and coffee and it was under £50

Great friendly service and superb food.

AMAZING food, brilliant service, great value for money! Our party of four had 2x meze platter which was PHENOMENAL and too much for us to eat, a stifado and a kleftiko - everybody was really happy with their food choices. Special thanks to the kind staff who, when a table for four became free with a view, asked if we’d like to move bc it was highly requested table. So thoughtful! It made a birthday meal out really special so thank you. 10/10 will be back!

Lovely little trip for tea and a catch up with friend after work. Food was fabulous as always although the chips were a bit on the hard side which is unusual for here as usually amazing but apart from that fabulous.

A delicious meal (Meze). Friendly, attentive staff and a nice atmosphere.
