Visited Kafeneon for a pre-match lunch with a friend. Lovely restaurant close situation in the Bigg Market. Very friendly staff, great atmosphere and lovely food at a reasonable price. Will definitely visit again.

Another lovely meal at Kafeneon this weekend. Service was excellent, order taken quickly and arrived promptly, while the food was delicious as always.

Visited Red Mezze on a Wednesday night for a work dinner, food was lovely no complaints at all. Service was great and really good value for money.

Always great service, staff attentive but never overbearing. More importantly the food is always top notch, can’t fault them. Had the kleftiko this time and it’s up there with the best I’ve had in Greece or Cyprus *****

Always visit when in Newcastle. First port of call is to book a table when we arrive. Great food and service. Never had any problems with staff or food.

Enjoyed it so much I visited it twice in the same week, Once with my friend at lunchtime on Tuesday and then I took my husband there on Friday as I knew he would love it ( being half Greek ). Food was delicious and portions generous . I especially loved the deep fried Halloumi and the chips are to die for. The staff were friendly and cheerful which you don't always experience. We will be back !

Had dinner here with a vegan friend. They had a good menu for to choose from. Very tasty pastitsio for me, and butter bean stew for her. Reasonable prices, good portions and we weren’t hurried from the table, even though they were obviously busy

Went last night - had to physically get up and ask the waitress how much longer as we had been waiting over 30 mins for two wraps. She couldn't really give us a firm update. A more senior member of staff came over offering us some complimentary starters as we waited - unfortunately by this time we didn't want to wait a further 10 minutes or so. We paid for our drinks and left.

4 of us came to Kafeneon for my birthday meal yesterday - food and service was outstanding. Will definitely be back!

Exceeded expectations. The lovely team at Kafeneon were attentive but not overly ‘in your face’, very friendly. Food & cocktails were brilliant. Will definitely return.

This is our goto place to eat in the city centre. I've never had a less than excellent meal. The service is always top notch. The atmosphere has always been lovely but the new refurbishment has taken it to another level. If you've never been then you are missing out!

Two friends and I ate here on Saturday night, it was busy so good job we had booked. I enjoyed the moussaka, and my friends enjoyed the burger and the gyros, along with the sharing starter we all dug into. Excellent service and food delicious as always. Thank you.
