Blossom’s Indian Bistro – Newcastle City Centrei have been going to latifs restaurant for almost 8 years! The food is great and hasn't dispointed me yet, The staff are very kind and Mr Latif himself is such a loving man he is a wonderful person, Also Mr.latifs sons are waiters at the restaurant They are such nice kind people, The place can be quiet at times but i usually go with my friends or my dad, it doesn't matter if the place is quiet because the staff are have really good funny banter. I think i will be attending this restaurant for the rest of my life
Latif Balti Restaurant – Newcastle City CentreHaving just slated the Sunday supplement offer, I should update. The Mal Maison contacted me following my e-mailing them to complain and I was offered a sunday night room immediately for the advertised £10. Apparently their offer of a £10 room (if you spend £75 in the brasserie) has finished and it is now £25 however Sugarvine is still advertising the £10 price. So well done Mal Maison for customer complaints service.
Chez Mal Brasserie – Newcastle City CentreWe went to mimos on a sunday for a late afternoon pint before heading home but found out that they had a comedy night on. we ordered some tapas which was really nice, especially the mushrooms and prawns. We had only ever been to the hyena club but found the comedy really good, a guy called Liam was really really funny and the last guy with an austrailian accent was f**@ing hilarious. The man didnt say if there was another one tho, hope there is!
Mimo Bar & Kitchen – Newcastle City CentreWe went to the restaurant after great reviews, it was my nephews 21st Birthday. First of all the waitress spilt food down my back, then we waited over an hour for our starters to come one starter came which was my partners he waited for the others to arrive but had to start without us, my starter came when they were cooking the main meal. The food was tasty but not worth the money would never go again!
Hanahana – Newcastle City Centrejust had the best mushroom risotto ever - lovely relaxed place and stunning prices for the centre of newcastle
395 Pizzeria – Newcastle City Centrewent on friday waited over 1 hour for starters when they came cold, main meal was even worse waiters very helpful but the owner was an absolute disgrace I have gone to other sambuccas for years but will not be going back there stay away
Sambuca Pavillion At Heaton Park – Newcastle City Centreway too over booked, service very slow, waited over 1 hour for main... was going to have a dessert but didnt want to wait again so just got the bill...loads of other people have complained tonight...
Sambuca Pavillion At Heaton Park – Newcastle City CentreWas ok was not aloud to order tap water as a drink
395 Pizzeria – Newcastle City CentreStill the best restaurant in Newcastle!! We were in Cafe 21 on 12/5/12 as a party of 10 for my wife's 40th birthday. The food just amazing. I had oysters to start just to try something different and they were beautiful. My wife has the crab lasagne which I thought might be a by heavy but it certainly wasn't. I had a little forkful and it was so light and sweet that I wanted it for myself!!! We both had steaks for main with me opting for the sirloin and my wife opting for a fillet. Both cooked to perfection and packed full of flavour. Not only is the food beautiful but I have to take my hat off to the staff there too. Friendly, attentive and they really seems to know all about the dishes they were presenting to our group. If you want a treat and not pay over the odds for it too then Cafe 21 is the place to go. £50 a head and that included at least 6 bottles of wine on our table. Can't wait to go back
Cafe 21 – Newcastle City CentreHad a fantastic time there last night - fab food, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Will be going back soon.
Sambuca Pavillion At Heaton Park – Newcastle City CentreI came for dinner with friends for the first time and was not disappointed. I had the prawn linguine as I love prawns. Lovely place lovely staff. Will be celebrating my birthday here
Babucho – Newcastle City CentreVisited sat 21st april 2012 for sister's birthday. The meal was exquisite and the staff were extremely pleasant and attentive. One of the best meals i have ever had and certainly the best meal I've enjoyed in Newcastle x well done Old Siam wish you every success with this venture!
The Old Siam – Newcastle City CentreVisited this restaurant on Sunday after making a booking for 'Sunday Lunch' on the previous Wednesday. Four of us arrived and were told before we sat down there was no Sunday Lunches left. We opted to select from the menu as we didn't want to create any fuss. While waiting for our order there was Sunday lunches being served but gave them the benefit of the doubt that they had ordered before us. My daughter ordered Roast chicken with vegetables and gravy (nearly sunday lunch) We were still there at 4.30 which was not a problem but new customers were served with sunday lunches? I asked the guy in the bar why it had happened and he told me the people had ordered very early and reserved sunday lunches. I explained I had particularly asked for them when I booked he just shrugged when I said that was rubbish and bad business, he said "I don't think so Madam" I repeated what I said and walked out. Bad attitude and not a good explanation will not be returning.
