Excellent food couldn't fault any of it. Staff friendly but require more training, I suspect one was very new, but a minor point that did not affect an enjoyable visit.

The Last Inn – NewportWe visited the evening of Saturday 23rd sept. The waitress and waiter were friendly and helpful The food was very good and very well presented The atmosphere was laid back and enjoyable Would highly recommend
The Last Inn – NewportWe visited on Sunday 17 September having also been a couple of weeks earlier. The food was excellent. We all had Sunday Roasts which were excellent. We had assorted starters which similarly were excellent. The service from all the staff was very friendly and professional. We all felt that the food was tasty, well presented and great value for money. We would definitely return again as we had an enjoyable and relaxed experience in a nice environment with excellent food.
The Last Inn – NewportSunday lunch Veggie option was an excellent standard of food, plenty of fresh vegetables and great customer service too.
The Last Inn – NewportReally not great. Went for Sunday lunch and initially the service etc seemed really good. When the Sunday roasts arrived after a wait we were really disappointed that the roast beef and roast pork were both very over cooked. The Yorkshire pudding tasted like grease and waited 8 mins for apple sauce, horseradish sauce and some Extra gravy. Won’t be rushing back which is a shame
The Last Inn – NewportHad an amazing meal starting with the Meze Board then the Chicken Tikka Wrap with Kamakazi Fries, fantastic staff and lovely setting inside or out.
The Last Inn – NewportLovely staff and great venue for our family of 4. However, the best part was an extraordinary dessert designed for those who cannot decide - for £22.50 we shared a huge platter of all desserts on the menu; what a great idea! To cap it all, there was live music, which just added to our excellent evening.
The Last Inn – NewportWhile the food was excellent and excellent value I would hesitate to go again due to the extremely poor service. My husband and I arrived, had our food and drink order taken promptly, however after waiting nearly an hour and seeing a table who ordered after us receive their food we asked what was happening . We were told there was a 'technical hitch' and food would arrive soon. Two plates of food arrived - the wrong food, it was for another table who had ordered after us. I asked again and was told it was coming. It arrived and my husband plate was wrong, we had asked for no cauliflower cheese so it was taken back to be rectified, however, when I looked at my own the cauliflower was not cauliflower cheese, the menu was wrong. We were then asked if we wanted to see dessert menus which we did, however, sat and waited and waited to have our order taken and couldn't get anyone's attention so finally we got someone and just asked for the bill. We explained how bad everything had been and the server just mumbled something about the internet was not working correctly!!! Everyone else seemed to be getting their orders okay. I thought we might have been offered a cup of coffee as an apology, but nothing, but really I would just have liked the excellent food served in an appropriate time and correctly.
The Last Inn – NewportAmazing food! We booked a table for 5 at 6pm. Service was with a smile from a young lady called Evie. The female Manager was lovely too. I had the best, white fish and chips it was delicious. Looked more like a whale! Sons had the steak which apparently ‘was the best they had tasted’ hubby had the Last Inn pie and he said it was full of meat! Definitely be back 100% recommend.
The Last Inn – NewportSunday roast : booked a table for 5pm for 4 adults but no beef or chicken left only pork. Loud singer in the bar but thankfully finished soon after we sat down. The food we did get was very nice and reasonably priced
The Last Inn – NewportGreat food. Good atmosphere and good service.
The Last Inn – NewportWe were holidaying in the area, chose The Last Inn for our last 'holiday' meal and what a good choice it was! Loved the decor, the food was delicious and the menu provided enough choice to cater for our table of five. The Last Inn was welcoming and friendly and if we're in the area again, we will definitely be back!
The Last Inn – NewportI booked lunch at The Last Inn for a group of thirteen after walking in the Lilleshall area recently. The original 2pm lunchtime had to be changed not once but twice over the telephone as unforseen events disrupted the walk schedule. Nevertheless Zofia was very accommodating and we all sat down together to enjoy a lovely lunch even though it was later than planned. There was a good selection to choose from the Lunch / Main Menus and the food served was very good and vfm. If we visit the area again I would definitely return.
The Last Inn – NewportGood selection on the menu. Service excellent. Price fair for the quality. All dishes chosen were good, but needed a little more sauce on the pasta.
The Last Inn – NewportWent for Sunday lunch and had roast beef which was excellent. We did have a starter of chorizo bits which I wasn’t too keen on. They should have been crispy in my opinion. Other than that it was a good Sunday lunch
The Last Inn – NewportWe tried this place for the first time yesterday and we're really looking forward to it as Google reviews looked promising! We both had a pork roast dinner. Unfortunately it wasn't as good as other places we've been. The veg was hard, I think we both had only one or two florets of cauliflower cheese and the pork was sparse! On the menu, it said the pork came with crackling, sausage, stuffing. So we both presumed there would be a sausage on the plate as well (as there was a comma between the items listed). I asked and they said it was in the stuffing but the menu read as if it was an individual item. This should maybe be changed. Also, my partner has to ask for the crackling. To top it off (I know this was just unfortunate) but there was a dead daddy long legs inside my yorkshire pud!!! Which you had to pay £2.50 extra for!! It was replaced but still. Really sad to say but we won't be returning. We'd normally stay somewhere for a pudding but we just didn't feel the main was good enough to warrant spending extra money on dessert too!
The Last Inn – NewportI’m a tough critic, but I love that I stumbled across this place! Been here a couple of times now but I need to leave a review because the last time we came we weren’t exactly the easiest of guests… let me explain. My grandparents can’t eat a lot due to health reasons and I know sometimes restaurants / pubs are funny about adults ordering off the kids menu. The Last Inn and their staff accommodated our party so well and made my grandparents feel normal. My Nan actually suffers with high anxiety and struggles to get out the house, but the team gave us a quiet table in one of the booths away from a large party which was kind. We also had the dog with us and they’re so good with dogs here and yet the restaurant is kept so clean and has lovely decor. It’s not for everyone, but we asked if it was okay if my little Cockapoo sat in the booth next to us (on her blanket) and the lady serving us said of course. To top off the whole experience, the food was exceptional. Best we’ve had for a long long time. Thank you, we will definitely be back (if you’ll have us!) x
The Last Inn – NewportSunday roasts from £14.
