Not enough staff on duty which meant a 2 hour wait. Food was tasty but by that point we’d lost the will to live.

The Lookout Bar and Eatery – NewquayNot enough staff on duty....had a long wait Food nice and good value for money Too many dogs in restaurant .
The Lookout Bar and Eatery – NewquayFood was lovely and staff very friendly but waited over an hour to be served sandwiches & jacket potatoes in a quiet restaurant.
The Lookout Bar and Eatery – NewquayWe have stayed at the Atlantic Hotel twice and we are going again in October 2015, we find the staff very friendly, rooms are lovely and food is excellent.
Atlantic Hotel – NewquayHave been here on bistro nights and it really is something special! Amazing food, Newquay's best kept secret....

Hendra Fish and Chip Shop – NewquayNever eat here! I never thought it was possible to get service as bad as we had at Indigo Bay Restaurant at the Bedruthan. The food was nice, but it was the worst dining experience I have ever had. Definitely NOT worth it.
The Herring Restaurant @ The Bedruthan Steps Hotel – NewquayAnother superb meal at S.Dicks. We didn't realise how big the portions were last time so we simply ordered a few starters this time between us! Staff can make or break an evening and they are so pleasant and not constantly interrupting your meal here. Couldn 't manage a pud but saw some huge ones appearing from the kitchen. 40 30 mile round trip for us but as Wadebridge is so dire I don't mind driving. 10 out of 10 everytime!
Senor Dicks – NewquayFantastic! Portions are simply enormous and so reasonable. I agree entirely with another comment that Rock/Wadebridge would do well to follow where Senor Dicks leads on a good night out with smiling knowledgeable staff.
Senor Dicks – Newquaygreat atmosphere and fantastic staff
Bunters – NewquayGreat views from the beer garden at the back of the pub. Good food, big portions and decent prices. Have spent many hours here and will be again this year.
The Fort Inn – NewquayHave just enjoyed a wonderful lunch, at very reasonable prices at The Scarlet Hotel, Mawgan Porth. Even on a windy Cornish spring day the views are stunning and the hotel itself is unique. The service was excellent, informal, friendly yet professional. The food was excellent, right sized portions, organic and fresh at at £20 for 3 courses including wine, a bargain. Would definitely go back and recommend it to anyone.
The Scarlet Hotel – NewquayWe really enjoyed our meal at the St Pirans, the food was very well cooked and presented, the staff were very friendly. Good value for money
St. Piran’s Inn – NewquayWe were staying in Plymouth for two nights, 18/08/09 - 20/08/09 but ended up traveling to the mawgan porth area. The beach was absolutely amazing lots of features and very high currents, really good fun if you can swim. both lunch time and dinner time on both days we ate at the Fire Restaurant, what an amazing place, the menu was outstanding, the decor was really nice to have around and the waitress, well she was truly awesome, really friendly, good service and was completely flexible on ordering, she brought out small tasters, combined drinks and even sat down with us for a chat. The girl that served us was telling us that she was visiting mawgan porth and found the restaurant and went in asked for a job and started the next day if anyone needs a job, great place. Even for me a 17 year old it was still an awesome place how ever old you are there is something for everyone. There is one downside working at Fire, the waitress hadn't been home for 9 months, so that can be an issue. After my family had eaten at Fire she and I went off for a walk down the beach just a few meters away from the restaurant that was really nice, and got to know her very well. I would defiantly Travel from the midlands back to mawgan porth, an amazing place to visit and I highly recommend it to everyone. We are going back in October again for a week this time and staying in Mawgan Porth and I can't wait to eat there again. Ed
Fire Bar Bistro and Grill – NewquayWe were lucky to find this place whilst out for a drive for lunch on our holidays. What a wonderful find. We were so impressed we returned the next evening, the place was busy but the staff were first class matching the food. The finest pork I have ever tasted. 10/10 Cant be faulted
Smugglers Den Inn – NewquayHello Stavros & George, Man.. what can I say. Being half Greek myself, living in North London, and traveling to Cyprus/Greece, plus lot's of the Greek Islands.. I was absolutely amazed by the hospitality from the Proprietors (George & Stavros) and professionalism from the staff... and lets not forget the food, ALL classic Cypriot/Greek dishes with authentic ingredients, with the freshness of the local fish and meat dishes on offer. It's worth a visit.. I recently had a weeks holiday in Newquay.. and went there 3 times. The restaurant is also open for early lunches, so a light Greek snack is worth it's while before indulging yourself into Newquay's high life!!! WICKED!!!!! Jason
Stavros Greek Taverna – Newquayone of the worst meals ive ever had bland and tasteless definitely not what a Indian should be
New Maharajah The – NewquayAfter going to Newquay for a long weekend from London, what better than to be in a fabulous resort after having a day in the surf than to go to a brilliant restaurant like Stavros Taverna. The food was wonderful, and having eaten in many Cypriot tavernas in London this was up with the best of the best. Stavros was a peach making sure, as in true Cypriot style that everyone was having a good time. The atmosphere was great. I can highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.
