Claycutters Arms – Newton AbbotAlthough not exactly on the beaten track, this is well worth the effort to find.. a good choice for both carnivores and veggies too! very amenable to your dietary needs. you have to go there!!
Elizabethan Inn – Newton AbbotJust an update to what I have previously submitted...They owners have now changed, I havn't visited the restaurant since but I hear that they now have a coffee seating area and there has been a few changes in the menu but apart from that it is still very recommended. Stay tuned for more updates.
Brookside Restaurant – Newton AbbotI have visited this Restaurant many times now and have had three birthday parties there, the staff are great and is mostly family. The restaurant used to be on the other side of the grounds but they decided to build a brand new restaurant which seats just as many as the old restaurant but the whole feel to the place is airy and fresh, the decor is modern but should suit most people.
Brookside Restaurant – Newton AbbotMichael Caines at Gidleigh Park is cooking the best food in Britain, to say that our meal was stunning in every way would be an understaement in the extreme, words fail me. If you haven't been yet go, get your credit card out and enjoy it. awesome.
Gidleigh Park – Newton AbbotNot actually a restaurant, just a typical village pub with a menu although they specialise in Indian food. Also if you like old cars the landlord owns several classic cars.
Anchor Inn The – Newton AbbotWe thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. Superb food and service at Dinner - the best duck ever. Only slight disappointment was breakfast, slow service and very small portions.
