Jai Kathmandu – NorthendenHad a great time and more important great food!!!!!!! traditional Persian restaurant in Manchester would go back again.
Shiraz Restaurant – Northendena superb restaurant. This restaurant has all 5 YES: Quality- Quantity-Service - Price-Time (if order delivery or takeaway). My family keeps coming back to Dalat almost every week. The best !!!
Dalat – NorthendenGreat food and service! The thai papaya salad and Vietnamese rice spring rolls (bo bia) were both excellent and completely tasted authentic unlike most other thai/viet restaurants more local. Very impressed and will be back again sooon in a few weeks for sure!!
Dalat – NorthendenThe curry is ok but staff is not really helpful.
Jai Kathmandu – NorthendenDalat Thai- Viet restaurant is the best Thai - Viet restaurant in the UK. The food is really great. Service is excellent. Price is ridiculously cheap. Really bring me back to Thailand's experience. I really mean it. Try it now and you'll never regret.
Dalat – NorthendenHad a great time wonderful food great service lots of tasty dishes to order from. The best Persian restaurant in town.
Shiraz Restaurant – NorthendenThis is the best Thai restaurant that I have been to in the UK The tam yum soup is just like in Thailand I would recommend this lovely place The service is great also
Dalat – NorthendenThis place is superb. The food is authentic and amazing. The staff are really friendly. It is ridiculously cheap and you get 10% off on top!!
Dalat – NorthendenGo to Dalat ! It's fantastic food (Ped Pad Khaprao is my favourite) with warm and friendly service. Its the best restaurant in Northenden by far! Dr L
Dalat – Northendenfantastic Persian restaurant, a real 'hidden gem' in south Manchester. great starters including chicken livers in pomegranate sauce, great kebabs and Persian stews, both with exquisite rice with a touch of saffron. if you haven't visited Shiraz before, get there now, you won't be disappointed
Shiraz Restaurant – NorthendenThis place really is the closest thing to eating Thai cuisine apart from actually being in Thailand! The pad Thai is spot on and there's a range of Vietnamese dishes too. Authentic food, affordable prices and friendly, warm service make Dalat my favourite Manchester restaurant. Definitely worth a visit if you like proper Thai food.
Dalat – NorthendenGreat staff, delicious food. Very authentic with delicate flavours and a wide range of choices. Probably the best Thai restaurant in Manchester.
Dalat – NorthendenA lovely intimate little restaurant with quiet atmosphere. Slightly tacky and dated interior but this is far outweighed by the beautiful food. Aromatic kebabs on light-as-a-feather Basmati rice, stuffed peppers, meatballs in fragrant sauce. Delicious and authentically Persian. Very similar to the other splendid Persian eatery of South Manchester (The Persia Grill House of Chorlton) but slightly better menu. And the bastani Persian ice-cream - amazing! And a glass of Persian tea to finish. A lovely venue for a quiet meal with someone special.
Shiraz Restaurant – NorthendenI go to the Jai Kathmandu quite often for my Nepalese food or indian food. Currys, Pillau, Masala or whatever you fancy and a small variety of Desserts. Sometimes to eat in and some times for a take away. In either case the food is great. I last had a Lamb biryani take away which comes with a vegetable course. Large and plentiful pieces of lamb. Fresh spices for flavour, not to burn your mouth out. No rubbishy "additives" or flavourings. Just great food cooked really well. I am diabetic and cannot tolerate large amounts of sugars. I find the menu with its large variety of options and tastes just down my street whilst not harmful to me. There is a little sugar in some of the dishes but not a lot and of course you can always check if you have any alergies, ie nuts. The service is attentive without being intrusive. The house wine quite reasonable. I am sold on the place, reasonably priced and one restaurant out of "Town" I recommend for that bit of superior class in Nepalese or Indian cuisine. Enjoy people.
Jai Kathmandu – NorthendenBad food, and expensive
Shiraz Restaurant – NorthendenIf you're thinking of going out for a curry then you're probably thinking curry mile or perhaps town if you've got a few bob to part with - well forget it. Forget the questionable hygiene standards in the McDonalds style get em' in and get em' out restaurants in the curry mile and forget getting bad service from cynical waiters who hate their customers in town. The Jai Kathmandu is all you need in a curry house. The food never disappoints and is consistently tasty and obviously cooked in-house with care and attention - even the 'dips'? for the poppadoms are different every time we visit and so obviously not lumped out of a bucket like you might expect on 'the mile'. The naan breads are gorgeous, the curried mackerel fantastic and zhalfrezis exquisite (try the lamb chops also - yum yum). Enjoy the friendly atmosphere, don't expect to be rushed with your meal, have a couple of nice cool beers and leave satisfied.
Jai Kathmandu – NorthendenWe have been going to the "Jai" for over 7 years now (ever since getting out of London) either for takeaways or to eat in. The food is without doubt the best Indian food we have ever had. You must try the Lamb Pasanda - to die for. We have introduced friends, relatives and even mother-in-laws to the delights of the Jai, and we are now requested to transport Jai takeaways all over the country when we go to see them. If you haven't already - go try it - you will love it.
