Overall we had a lovely time at The Plough but we sadly had a couple of niggles. The Yorkshire puddings were not if their usual standard and we had to send back a dessert which can only be described as ‘stodgy’. That was dealt with but it’s disappointing when the quality isn’t what you have come to expect. We will be back and hope that it was just a one off

The Plough at Whitegate – NorthwichUnfortunately this time I didn’t enjoy my meal, poor staff were run off there feet so short staff that you actually felt sorry for them, they were ever so friendly, we were there for 3 hours just having 1 main meal and coffee, come in plough get more staff please Food just wasn’t as appetising as normal and only warm not hot but no way you could of sent it back or you would of been waiting another 40 minutes for another

The Plough at Whitegate – NorthwichLovey cosy pub. Even though it was quiet there were enough people to give a low hum of conversation. We had a leisurely meal (21/2hours worth). Staff friendly and service was discreet. Just under £20 each for mains, deserts and drinks. I really like the fact they do smaller portions for some meals. 3rd time I have been. Good every time.

Lovely, cosy setting... a warm welcome and wonderful friendly service to add to what I have to say is one of the best pub meals I've had in a long time. All three of us had different dishes and we all loved them - I'm biased, but I'd say my Steak and Ale Pie was the best of all.... stunning! We'll be back soon with our daughter.... as new owners policy regarding children has changed.... I was turned away when I first moved to the area as I had my (then) 8yr old daughter with me at the time..... 5 years later cam back to try as Jess was at school and to my pleasant surprise saw the change of policy on the menu!!
