Food was good but unfortunately the service was slow, and meant that we were waiting a lot which was disappointing.

Colombo Street – NottinghamThe food was amazing- 10/10. I took my vegan family here and there were so many options to choose from. We all got lots of different plates to share and there wasn't one we didn't enjoy! Great happy hour cocktails as well! Really friendly owner and helpful staff. Highly recommend.
Colombo Street – NottinghamExcellent service, excellent food, excellent host and excellent experience. It was our first taste of Sri Lankan cuisine and it was devibe. We recommend the Chicken Kothu. It will most definitely not be our last visit there.

Colombo Street – NottinghamGreat restaurant, ambience, food, staff, quality, etc. etc. I pulled back 1 star on the food as I expected a better fish than tuna for the price.

Colombo Street – NottinghamMy husband and I had a lovely meal at the restaurant on Friday. The staff were friendly and attentive. Both of us shared a jackfruit croquette starter and a delicious Kotta curry chicken. We will definitely visit the restaurant again with friends. The restaurant is also conveniently located near the Lace Market tram stop.

Colombo Street – NottinghamHighly recommend Colombo Street restaurant. The food and the presentation are spot on. The customer service is service also second to non. I will definitely visit again. Good job Mr.Don and the team.
Colombo Street – NottinghamOur first time here and was a bit apprehensive as never had Sri Lankan food before. Shouldn’t have worried it was wonderful. From the friendly welcome to the server explaining every dish type and then a free sample rice dish with our meal. The food was amazing and everyone enjoyed it. A different twist on the curry we were expecting The meal the service and surroundings made this a wonderful evening. My only personal gripe was the mixed washrooms - I know it keeps a myriad of ‘identities’ happy but I really don’t like them. However this wouldn’t stop me going to the restaurant again.
Colombo Street – NottinghamMy wife and I went for the bottomless brunch on Sunday 13th February. We were running late due to a cancelled bus so phoned ahead, no problems ,' see you when you get here'. Marvellous food, kept our glasses very topped up and the friendliness of the staff was absolutely exceptional. The General Manager came in with his two young daughters, he also made a point of asking if we enjoyed it etc, really nice man. Top place, see you again.
Colombo Street – NottinghamAmazing food. Our second visit the dhaal is the best ever and we love the mutton rolls and mutton curry
Colombo Street – NottinghamTasty food, unusual flavours. We really enjoyed it. Would definitely eat here again.
Colombo Street – NottinghamParty for 12. Only 9 of us could come (joys of NHS doctors being called on last-minute). The staff were wonderfully helpful and kind, looking after us theoughiut the evening. Questions about halal and other dietary requirements were warmly handled, one of the managers came over to check we were ok and aranged a small dessert on the house as a birthday gift. Definitely going to return - food, service, lack of pretence, warmth - all excellent.
Colombo Street – NottinghamGreat food! Service was a little slow unfortunately but really knowledgeable and friendly. I'd definitely recommend the rice and curry feast as a great way to try a bit of loads of things.
