Colombo Street – NottinghamCannot recommend this place enough! Was our first visit yesterday and we will definitely be back. Food was exceptional and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable (including explaining how one of the dishes came to be created) So many different dishes to try; you won't be disappointed!
Colombo Street – NottinghamFriendly staff and tasty food - what more do you need?
Colombo Street – NottinghamFirst time and not a smidgen of disappointment! The food was fantastic. It took a little while to arrive and it could have been warmer, but, it was taste sensation overload. Our waitress couldn't have been more attentive either. I cant wait to return. Thank you!
Colombo Street – NottinghamCannot rave about this place enough. Staff were so helpful and friendly, the food is insane, by far the best meal I’ve had in a long time. Such good flavours, so fresh! Can’t wait to go back
Colombo Street – NottinghamThe food was delicious and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. I recommend the Chicken kottu, prawn curry, sweet and sour paneer and the aubergine mojo. We’ll be back for more.
Colombo Street – NottinghamFantastic food here and very attentive staff. Really generous portions and delicious. Would really recommend this for an authentic taste of Sri Lanka.
Colombo Street – NottinghamVery tasty, authentic Srilankan food, nice atmosphere, and lovely service with a smile. We ended up having starters, mains and desserts. We enjoyed everything! Generous portions and so delicious.
Colombo Street – NottinghamI’m Sri Lankan and it’s great to find an authentic Sri Lankan restaurant with food that reminds me of my mum’s! Really enjoyed it and definitely will be back!
Colombo Street – Nottinghamwent for my boyfriends 21st, gorgeous food (and lots of it!) , fab service and very friendly staff :)
Colombo Street – NottinghamThis is my second visit - the food was beautiful, just as it was the first time but sadly this time round the service wasn’t great. We went for lunch during the week so it was much quieter than the Friday night I’d previously visited. Due to this there was a reduced workforce but it meant waiting 20 minutes for our order to be taken and 25 minutes before we received our starters. We had to request a dessert order to be taken after being left at the table for a further 15 minutes after our dinner plates had been taken away. We did have three courses but being in a restaurant for 2.5 hours isn’t expected at lunch time for only two people. This isn’t the place to go to for a working lunch - that’s for sure! Luckily the food made up for the slow service.
Colombo Street – NottinghamThe food was really amazing and the staff were very attentive. Worth the money
Colombo Street – NottinghamFantastic!
Colombo Street – NottinghamEverything about this place was fantastic! The quality and taste of the food, the service, and the ambiance was Michelin star quality. We tried the Ceylon mutton curry main course, paneer devilled sweet and sour, and devilled chicken fried rice. Can't wait to try more of their food. The food was priced reasonably too! Keep up the good quality of food and service! This is by far my favorite restaurant in Nottingham. I would 100% recommend this place.
Colombo Street – NottinghamThe food was amazing, having never had Sri Lankan food before we weren’t sure what to expect but the waitress explained the menu really well and the food was great. The service was some of the best I’ve ever had, very friendly and attentive.
Colombo Street – NottinghamWanted to try this place ever since we walked past a few weeks ago and the smells were devine in the street. Walking in the atmosphere was really relaxed and welcoming. Food was amazing, really different, fabulous spices and good portions. The manager came and checked up on us, offering samples of their cashew curry and their version of a flat bread/pancake. These were such tasty treats. Thank you for having us, we will return for more!
Colombo Street – NottinghamDelicious, good value food and really friendly service. Service was a little slow on the Wednesday night we visited, but they gave us a dish on the house without us even asking or complaining which was a really nice touch! Would definitely go again and fingers crossed the food comes out a little quicker
Colombo Street – NottinghamThis was a first visit to Colombo Street. It was great to see a menu so different to other restaurants, and as visitor to Sri Lanka many years ago, I was excited to eat Hoppers again! It was very busy and noisy, so service was a little slow, but the quality of the food made up for this, and we weren't in a hurry. The whole party of 5 people loved the food, having enjoyed sharing a few starters (the chickpeas were amazing), a main dish each and then sharing a couple of the desserts (the Sri Lankan style Christmas cake was delicious). We'll be back.
