The Black Ladd – OldhamJ W Lees' dining pub of the year. Unusual food at very reasonable prices, standards always very high. Service friendly and attentive, but not overly so. We had a wonderful family celebration here. Nothing was too much trouble Well kept Lees beer on handpump.
Morning Star Pub Restaurant – OldhamI would recommend SUl Lago to all lovers of Italian food. Good service and good food also just booked for new year eve excellent evening with dance and fireworks ciao
Sul Lago – Oldhami would never ever go to the 3 crowns ever again. the food is the the worst my taste buds ,has ever met. this is now more than a posh mcdonalds.. the food was not fresh,a small plate of chips shared between 4 people. mr hicks himself, hovering over your shoulder tends to put you off your meal. any person who knows any thing about food would not venture here.
Three Crowns Inn and Restaurant – OldhamMy local Indian, always of high standard. We would go here in preference to other Indian restaurants anyway,
Sagor Tandoori – OldhamA great Meal, certainly not chips with everything, a wide choice of carvery and salad bar as well. something for everyone at reasonable prices
The Grapes Pub – Oldhamrecently visited and cannot fault in the slightest very welcoming family environment, excellent quality and value for money have booked again twice in the near future
The Black Ladd – OldhamMy partner and I often visit the Black Ladd. This Sunday we had an excellent meal there, as usual. Rump steak cooked rare side of medium: perfect. Chips the best this side of 1950! Excellent food, and wine list. Lovely atmosphere, friendly and warm. Best value in the area.
The Black Ladd – Oldhamexcellent food great staff very busy so book well worth it... georgina..
Millon Restaurant – OldhamFour of us went to the Black Ladd for the first time. The service was OK but the food was awful. Uninspiring prawn cocktail, dried and overcooked salmon, pants steak and dreadful lasagna. I'm sorry, but it was disappointing and we will not return. Don't know what all the fuss is about and will not recommend.
The Black Ladd – OldhamWe last went on 21st Feb 2009 and were very pleased with the friendly, polite and efficient service we received. In addition, the food was excellent and the price even better at £9.95 per head for five courses. We would recommend it to anyone. Plus, you can bring your own wine too and have glasses provided!
Indian Ocean – OldhamExcellent, you will not regret it. None of this "microwave" rubbish that you get at a lot of places. Cannot rate any higher!. Nick, Royton.
The Black Ladd – OldhamI have visited the ancora on several occasions and have never been disappointed, from family meals to just the 2 of us! The steak was cooked to perfection and the ribs are to die for, if you want a local restaurant with a lively atmosphere and fantastic food look no further than the ancora!
Ancora – Oldhammy boyfriend and i dined at sul lago and found it exceptional, we are lucky to live right around the corner from it!!! i always enjoy the champagne cocktails too!!!!!!
Sul Lago – OldhamMy husband & I are one of the lucky ones we live 2 minutes away from Sul Lago's. We have dined there on numerous occasions, the food is excellent & the staff are very friendly.
Sul Lago – OldhamMe and boyfriend had a wonderful evening at this busy restaurant, the food was fantastic and the hospitality and flavours of this place can become pleasantly addictive!!!
Ancora – OldhamWOW ! This was such a fantastic visit to - ANCORA - As soon as we walked through the main entrance you could feel the buzz on this bar/restaurant & the marvellous aroma wafting down from the restaurant above was just so inviting. We were just so spoilt for choices on this menu - an incredible array of starters/pasta & pizza/mains/deserts and also daily specials. We had drinks in the bar first then we were taken upto the 1st floor to dine, we were really looked after by efficient staff at every level of our meal, there were all so attentive and jolly in their duties, and it was nice to see that some of the staff members were Italians. It was so refreshing to eat authentic fresh Italian food served in a brilliant atmosphere in Oldham ! I have been to the Manchester - San Rocco establishment before so I knew that the experience would be great. When the bill arrived we were even more impressed with the final cost - for this level of service & menu you would expect to pay a lot more, even double the amount that we paid. We found out that " ANCORA" in Italian means more - we will certainly be having more of this yummy restaurant. MISS BERNADETTE DOLMAN
